Refugee Priest Appears on Church Militant

Edit: what will it take for enough people to realize how Stalinist men like Cupich are before we act. Even if we were the greatest Catholic sinners of all time, do we deserve to suffer the tender mercies Mark Shea-style clergy?
[Church Militant] Chicago priest Fr. Paul Kalchik was forced into hiding after two priests sent by Cdl. Blase Cupich threatened to have him taken away by police if he did not accede to the cardinal's order to be committed to St. Luke's Institute. The orders came shortly after parishioners held a ceremony burning a sacrilegious banner showing a cross and rainbow flag that used to hang in the sanctuary, covering the crucifix.
Father Kalchik gave Church Militant this exclusive interview at an undisclosed location.

This is without a doubt, a gay culture which is crawling out from under a rock. I saw the interview. I also called the numbers of the two priests from the Vicar for Priests. I listened to their voice mail recordings. Both are strongly allegedly gay and being empowered by Cupich. ----Now, we know what is meant by compassion and mercy. Gays are seen as more compassionate and merciful than the normal male. That is why they are being recruited into the priesthood and why normal males are being driven out.

I expect the next step will for the Cupich to come in person to preside at a ceremony where a new rainbow flag is processed in, blessed and hung in the sanctuary.

Seems to me (though I could be wrong) that the 2x assaulted priest has his own SSA issues (like MVoris) which may explain the whole attention seeking nature crisis. When was it Catholic to burn banners (?) Does that qualify as an exorcism? Is it witchcraft? What are these people doing? The whole point of defining actions as 'disordered' is to imply there is an order. No matter how much one might disagree w/Cupich he is the bishop in charge of this priest. Is Voris now advocating that priests should not obey their bishops? This priest states he's in hiding but diocese (unlike the Army/Police for instance) can't force him to go anywhere. Is he hiding so that legal papers can't be delivered to him by the diocese?

A lot of people, including CM, are trying to have their cake and eat it too by saying that these bishops must 'resign' and let the state investigate them (like that worked so well w/Miquelli--many dioceses own the Catholic politicians, police force & the courts) like the Church is a public corporation and this will take care of the (manufactured by CM/Dreher/ Lifesite News) 'crisis.' These people also would have us believe they are Catholic. But what is the traditional Catholic position here? Either Cupich (& the entire hierarchy) is/should be excommunicated (and no-one has to or should obey them) or they are the apostolic successors of Jesus Christ and must be obeyed on pain of mortal sin.

However, maybe CM is getting us ready for their next interview w/bishop in hiding Vigano.

Good points Anonymous....not to be funny but that priest gives me the creeps. Doubtful he should’ve ever been ordained.

As a catholic, what really ''gives me the creeps'', are people with a mentality that we should obey any bishop or pope, whether they serve God or the devil. No wonder the apostasy, the utter stupidity in the American church got to this absurdity. American Catholics mean DUMB, irrational, brainless sheep. Keep obeying your perv bishops and clergy, carry on, you deserve it, bunch of headless chicken. Or maybe, is only the homos and pervs on the pews who are happy with the status quo, it serves their agenda, keeps them happy and just carry on with their deluded mindset.

Wolverine, do you have any substantial reason to opine that he shouldn't have been ordained? Your "creeps" does not convince me of your stance. In fact, I find it difficult to take seriously any claim of "creeps" from anyone who calls him/her self "wolverine".

Restore DC-thought Voris said all sodomites should resign -- this priest seems to have SSA - why should he be ordained?

Anon: if one calls cupich 'bishop' (even though stating should 'resign') then until cupich resigns he is the bishop and must be obeyed. Can't not obey and still(pretend to) call bishop. Voris and the rest of his yahoos are as uncatholic as their prelates. P.S. I don't recommend sitting in the pews of a church that advocates sodomy--but it's been advocating sodomy since at least the 70s and openly as this banner demonstrates w/Cardinal Bernardin (who should (will) also be excom).

Regardless of what anyone thinks of this man’s mannerisms, the bishop’s insistence that he needs to be hospitalized for psychiatric care are alarming.

I also would like to know why he feels the necessity to hide. I expect it might have to to primarily, with the threatening behavior from Chicago’s rabid lavender crowd, but it could also have to do with a menacing element in Chicago’s Catholic clergy.

Some may still recall that the murderers of Francis Pellegrini are still at large.

So now you all are saying the clergy of the Chicago archdiocese are murderers (and these murderers ordained this priest), but you continue to insist that it's all right for little kids to go to school there (?) okay to belong there (?) it is the one holy catholic and apostolic church. You support this priest all the way until he's excom--then you all will still be sittin in the pews w/those who cover the cross of Jesus Christ w/the sodomite banner and confect...(i won't say what they confect, but that's whose church YOU ALL (and Voris, and LifeSite, and 1P5, and Aka catholic & restore dc and 'nabi' the malay muslim prophet, and the remnant and EWTN and FSSP belong to and that's what you receive every time you go to 'mass')). God bless your precious souls!

Wolverine, If you had recently been summarily removed from your position, had the real prospect of being committed to a Twilight Home presented to you and subsequently had gone into hiding while facing a very uncertain future, *your* behavior might not make strangers immediately think of Alan Ladd in 'Shane'. Say a few prayers for Fr. Kalchik rather than take potshots at him.

Burning items used for sacred worship, even if they are repugnant in art, is the correct manner of destruction.

I would strongly discourage anyone from sending their children to “Catholic” schools in Chicago.

Andrew Greeley was worried about being murdered by some of his colleagues. Man, you’re not very well informed about what I think or the Archdiocese of Chicago for that matter.

Anonymous said...

So now this sodomite banner is an item "used for sacred worship"(of the (sacred) devil?)--that's why having found it stored away w/the other sacred treasures of the parish, some members of the congregation made a public bonfire of it (against the express wishes of the bishop).

I too would not send my children to any VC2 catholic schools (diocesan, opus dei, jesuit, etc. etc. etc.), I wouldn't go to a church that gives communion (i.e. is in communion) to fornicators, sodomites, adulterers, abortionists, euthanizers, and who excommunicates, threatens and/or murders anyone who trips over and tries to expose their sodomite/pedophile network. But that's where I stop saying that this is the one holy catholic and apostolic church. The Catholic Church doesn't spread heresy; it doesn't protect and propagate murder, sexual immorality, idolatry and economic injustice (socialism/communism).

"And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. [19] Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world."

It’s a good thing he didn’t offer a Latin Mass or teach the Catholic faith on the streets of Chicago. He’d be in serious trouble with the Bishop!

CONGREGATION FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION

Instruction
Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocations
with regard to Persons with Homosexual Tendencies
in view of their Admission to the Seminary and to Holy Orders

The Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, on 31 August 2005, approved this present Instruction and ordered its publication.

"Deep-seated homosexual tendencies, which are found in a number of men and women, are also objectively disordered and, for those same people, often constitute a trial. Such persons must be accepted with respect and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. They are called to fulfil God's will in their lives and to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter[8].

In the light of such teaching, this Dicastery, in accord with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, believes it necessary to state clearly that the Church, while profoundly respecting the persons in question[9], cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practise homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"[10].

Such persons, in fact, find themselves in a situation that gravely hinders them from relating correctly to men and women. One must in no way overlook the negative consequences that can derive from the ordination of persons with deep-seated homosexual tendencies."

Someone could have a feminine affect and not have deep seated sodomitical tendencies.

"I would also like to know why he finds the necessity to hide." Maybe Chicom Cupich (McCarrick2) gave him these alternatives: (1) Be charged (and arrested?) for burning church (sacred) property used in (sacred satan) worship or (2) commit yourself to the insane asylum (where you will be gang raped to death by crazy sodomite chicom pedophiles like John Carr and MS Winters).

THE FORGOTTEN VICE IN SEMINARY FORMATION

https://fathertodd.wordpress.com/2005/06/21/the-forgotten-vice-in-seminary-formation/

“…a touchy subject, that will offend many involved in the work of seminary formation, but with the current atmosphere of scandals and talk of a more thorough screening process for seminarians, I believe it is a topic that must be dealt with…

… one of the consistent complaints or difficulties our new seminarians have had in adjusting to seminary life is the issue of effeminacy. The fact of the matter is they are not used to and are uncomfortable living in an environment that is often effeminate….

…. Saint Thomas includes effeminacy under the vices opposed to perseverance. It is from the Latin Mollities, which literally means “softness.”.. The vice of delicacy for Thomas considers those who cannot endure toils or anything that diminishes pleasure, and thus delicacy is a kind of effeminacy.. In priestly or seminary life we are not called to such softness, and these issues must be addressed in formation…

…. So, it must be understood, I am not putting down women or speaking on homosexuality, (though effeminacy is often a sign of this sexual disorder) but rather on acting in an inappropriate manner that is often prevalent in seminaries…

...Thomas states that, “Outward movements are a sign of the inward disposition” and quotes Ecclesiastics 19:29-30, “You can tell a person by his appearance . . . the way a person dresses, the way he laughs, the way he walks, tell you what he is.” Saint Ambrose adds that, “The habit of mind is seen in the gesture of the body,” and that “the body’s movement is an index of the soul.”...

…. Saint Thomas, moreover, asserts the truth that it is often from our outward movements that other men form their judgment about us. Thomas encourages us to study our outward movements so that if they are inordinate in any way, they may be corrected. Such things need to be addressed in formation because they have a definite effect on our ability to be and bring Christ to others…

This not about a witch hunt but being honest enough to admit that such external behavior affects our ability to share Christ.”

Tancred said...

That may be all well and good, but do those outward movements suggest a “deep seated inclination” that would cause a VD to impede the advancement of a candidate to holy orders? Obviously, some pretty meek fellows were ordained despite being “soft” long before Vatican II.

Wolverine said...

The bottom line is that any grounded/healthy Catholic seminarian would prefer NOT to share formation studies/living in close proximity with fellow seminarians that exhibit noticeable effeminate speech patterns and or mannerisms.

Normal, healthy masculine young men are a “little creeped out” by other men who behave in such ways. That’s the way it’s been from time immemorial in healthy cultures. That there are conservative Catholics who bristle at such normal/healthy reactions is just another sign they’ve unconsciously absorbed some of the toxcisity of our feminized culture.

Do Fr. Kalchik's actions speak of a priest looking for an easy life and taking the path of least resistance? I understand Wolverine's points but that first post targeting Fr. Kalchik was uncharitable, to put it mildly. The Holmes & Rahe Scale of stressful life events puts imprisonment 4th (63 out of 100) and losing your job at no.8 (47/100). Throw in being in hiding which would probably be in the top three had H & R included it (its rarity no doubt dictating its exclusion) and it's noteworthy that Fr. Kalchik, regardless of the fact his answers weren't delivered in a basso profundo, came across as gentle, measured and reasonable. In other words, the exact opposite of those out for his blood, both literally and figuratively.

Who knows, the next episode may feature Fr. Kalchik striking a match on his stubble and lighting up a cheroot while humming 'Drill, Ye Tarriers, Drill' but I don't know if even that would be enough to stem the flow of unjustifiable insinuations .
