Marx Sounds Displeased With Vatican Ruling on Sacrilegious Communions

Congregation of faith writes DBK boss Marx that the document to the Eucharistic approval of Protestant spouses is not ready for publication - UPDATE: kath.net documented original letter copy! - Cardinal Marx is "surprised"

Vatican (kath.net) After the conversation of Cardinal Marx and Cardinal Woelki and some other German bishops in Rome, the controversial document of the German Bishops' Conference for the common Eucharistic reception in confessional marriages. This was announced by the Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Archbishop Luis F. Ladaria, DBK Chairman Reinhard Cardinal Marx, in an official letter (in German). The letter is dated May 25th. Archbishop Ladaria explains to Marx that he spoke to Pope Francis on both May 11 and May 24. After the talks, he wants to bring with the "explicit consent" of the Pope a few points to consideration..

First, that "the manifold ecumenical efforts of the German Bishops' Conference" are honored. However, according to the letter, the conversation on 3 May 2018 showed that the text of the Guidance raises a number of issues of major importance. "The Holy Father has therefore come to the conclusion that the document is not ready for publication." Ladaria refers to the document "Going with Christ - On the track of unity. Confessional marriages and joint participation in the Eucharist. A Pastoral Assistance of the German Bishops' Conference ".

The Prefect of the Congregation of the Faith mentions three "essential reasons" for rejection in the letter. The question of the admission to Communion of Protestant Christians in inter-confessional marriages is a topic that touches the faith of the Church and is of relevance to the world Church. In addition, the question has "impact on ecumenical relations with other churches and ecclesial communities", which should not be underestimated. Literally, item 3 is quoted as follows: "The theme concerns the law of the church, especially the interpretation of can. 844 CIC. Because there are unanswered questions in some parts of the Church, the competent dicastery of the Holy See has already been commissioned to clarify these issues promptly at the universal Church level. In particular, it seems appropriate to leave the verdict on the existence of an "urgent and serious emergency" to the diocesan bishop.”

Ladaria expressly pointed out that it was a great concern of the Holy Father "that in the German Bishops' Conference the spirit of episcopal collegiality remains alive".

UPDATE 18.30: Marx reacts!

Cardinal Reinhard Marx is obviously not pleased with the letter from Rome. He informed his spokesman on Monday evening: "The letter of the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of May 25, 2018 has reached the President of the German Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, this evening (June 4, 2018) On 3 May 2018 in Rome, the participating bishops were told that they should find 'as unanimous a rule as possible' in the spirit of ecclesial communion, and the President is therefore surprised that this letter from Rome has arrived even before finding such a unanimous settlement. The President also sees further need for discussion within the German Bishops' Conference, especially in the Permanent Council and the Autumn Assembly, but also with the corresponding Roman Dicasteries and the Holy Father himself. "

UPDATE 17:45: Since now various translations of the letter are circulating, kath.net documents the letter of Archbishop Ladaria / Congregation of the Faith, to the DBK Chairman Cardinal Marx for DBK handout in dt. Original language.

Technically, the letter did not come from the pontiff but from CDF. Therefore, PF can now come up with a compromise. It is always "two steps forward and one step backward". The agenda continues to be very well orchestrated and very well masked.

"The agenda continues to be very well orchestrated and very well masked."
Would you please explain in detail precisely what you mean by this.
Thank you.

Like most protestants, he thinks everything is determined by his own personal opinions on the matter.

Marx is miffed. He is used to buying his own way in Rome!

Yes, but did you catch the way the 'Pope's' response was worded? "It is not yet RIPE"......in other words....hold your horses! We're not quite READY to do this YET.

At Shane Bennett: Malachi Martin who died in 1999 and read the Third Secret detailed the agenda of a future Jesuit pope. Read his book "The Jesuits". It is all there. In fact, he was a Jesuit himself.---Basically, it is all about the dissolution of organized religion and the creation of a new belief system based on world unity. The foundation is Teilhard de Chardin and not Holy Scripture which makes the entire agenda of an apostate nature which is allegedly detailed in the Third Secret of Fatima.

You wrote the sentence and so made the claim. I requested you to take responsibility for what you have written and explain to me personally and in detail what you meant.
I await you kind answer not a reference to someone else's book.
Thank you.

It’s the Superforce.

I read that there is enormous pressure from both inside the Roman Curia, and from Cardinals, bishops, priests and ordinary faithful in many countries not to allow for this sharing with Protestants.
I think if Pope Francis had his way, he would do it in a heartbeat, but there is such a growing tide of opposition to it, including his own Prefect of the CDF, that Francis is now putting on the brakes.
But if it was left to him, he'd do it, and many more things to bring down the Catholic Church and it's tradition.

@Shane Bennett: I repeat that the agenda is "well orchestrated and very well masked". The site administrator calls it the "Superforce". I take responsibility for what I have written. ----Pope Francis has an agenda. He will destroy the Church and then rebuild it in his image. It is called Marxism and found in the writings of Teilhard de Chardin and is all about evolution in society. The goal is to unite Church and State in a world religion. Look to Nicaragua and Daniel Ortega. Ortega is a former priest and former president who now is back in control.---Mayor DeBlasio of New York City has strong connections and service in Nicaragua. The agenda is already present in America. Cupich, Tobin, and MeElroy are all part of the liberal agenda.---Pope John Paul II went to Nicaragua and called out Ortega and other priests in the administration. Pope Francis is one of them and believes in Liberation Theology.---Is that clear enough? My concern is that Pope Francis is the Bishop in White allegedly warned about in the Third Secret of Fatima.

Is he putting on the brakes or just "masking his true agenda"? It is always "two steps forward and one step backward".

Personally, I just have a feeling that Francis won't be around to complete any of his big agendas, and when he is gone, so will they be..swept away by the next Pope. So this idea of communion for Protestants will, at the very least, be thrown into some obscure drawer in a curial desk where it will gather dust until forgotten all together. That fate will await all of Francis' plans and people.
Just so some "cretan" doesn't get the wrong idea and mouth off....I'm not wishing Francis dead. I just don't think he'll be around to see any of this come to completion. Simply hecause 1) he isn't that well, 2) these issues and agenda are very unpopular, and 3) anything for good or ill in the Vatican goes at a snails pace.
Francis is half way to 82...not 72.
I think his early on prediction about his pontificate is spot on.....5-6 years and then he'll be off "to the house of the Father". His words, not mine :)

A lot can happen in five years. He has already "crossed the Rubicon" like Caesar. He marches on with a "bloody sword" and no one on this Earth can stop him.

No one? Our Lord is on earth in the Blessed Sacrament and I guarantee you that He can stop anyone and anything.

JBQ said...

It will take a supernatural intervention as profiled allegedly in the Third Secret.

S Bennett said...

Thank you. That explains a great deal about your thinking.

Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament is with his Pope. And that Pope is Francis. The next one will be of the same mind, spirit and vision as Francis. The forty years of restorationism under JP II and Benedict XVI failed. That kind of nostalgia nonsense is finished.

Ortega was never a priest. You're probably thinking of the nut-job radical Fr. Ernesto Cardenal and his nut-bag brother who worked closely with Ortega and his Sandinista National Liberation Front (Frente Sandinista de Liberación National—FSLN). Their main goal was to bring down the Church....but then again isn't it always?

JBQ said...

Thanks for the correction. I should have done my research. In doing corrective study, I found that Ortega was elected with 72% of the vote in 2015, The conservative vote was 2%. This is all about the destruction of capitalism and "redistribution of wealth". What kind of jobs are there in Nicaragua. There are none basically and the only money is from socialist largesse.---Mayor DeBlasio of New York worked in Nicaragua and is allied with the Sandinistas. He will bring their agenda to NYC. That is why the building agenda to rid NYC of Timothy Cardinal Dolan and to bring in the vulture from Newark, Tobin.

JPII was the pope of the Blessed Sacrament. Events in Germany appear to reinforce the image that Francis has his doubts about the Real Presence. Luther did not believe in Transubstantiation. The host was an image of Christ's solidarity with his people. ---"Mind, spirit, and vision" are in the mind of the beholder. That would be the "Minolta Effect". You say "nostalgia". I say "truth". Ye shall seek the truth and the truth shall set you free. The truth never "fails". "Forty years" would have the same mantra as the "forty days in the desert" spent by Jesus the Christ.

I think you have ingested too many magic mushrooms like Malachi Martin. Get a grip on yourself and get some help with the free association condition.

Bernard is a protestant. Like all protestants,he thinks God can be worshipped in any way that Bernard chooses to worship Him. Bernard's personal opinions define what true religion is. Bernard is an Episcopalian posing as a Catholic.
