SSPX Relieves Superiors Who Signed Seditious Letter

Edit: could this be the beginning of the SSPI?

On March 27, 2017, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and President of the Ecclesia Dei Commission, signed on behalf of Pope Francis a Letter addressed to the bishops throughout the world “concerning faculties for the celebration of marriages of faithful who follow the pastoral activity of the Society” of Saint Pius X.
On April 4, 2017, the General House published a press release to express “its deep gratitude to the Holy Father for his pastoral solicitude, as expressed in the letter from the Ecclesia Dei Commission, for the purpose of alleviating ‘any uncertainty regarding the validity of the sacrament of marriage.'” This communiqué recalled the Society’s intention to continue in the same spirit what it has always done, namely “to prepare future spouses for marriage according to the unchangeable doctrine of Christ about the unity and indissolubility of this union (cf. Mt 19:6), before receiving the parties’ consent in the traditional rite of Holy Church.”
In an “authorized commentary”, the official website of the Society of Saint Pius X (fsspx.news) clearly recalled the Society’s positions concerning marriages, particularly their validity, even without official delegation: “However, just as the sacrament of penance was not invalidly conferred by the priests of the Society of St. Pius X before 2015, neither were the marriages celebrated without the official delegation of the local bishop or parish pastor.” This commentary was based on what Canon Law provides in such cases.
The District Superior, Father Christian Bouchacourt, has relieved these signatories from their function as deans. He condemns this subversive act, prepared in secret, aimed to destabilize superiors and taking the faithful hostage.

The old sspx is gone. We knew where Bishop Fellay was leading the sspx. Rome won. Either go to the resistance or stay and do whatever Rome says. But it's all over for the way the sspx was.

There's always SSPV.

The sspv is just a few priests I think, not very many. This is the problem. The sspx is in lots of countries, and they used to lead the way for traditionalists. Now the sspx is gone from what it used to be.

But I can't get very mad about it because every one knew this is how it would end when bishop Fellay started dealing with the Rome.

When the sspx stopped conditionally re-ordaining Novus Ordo priests who came into their order, THAT was the beginnings of its demise.

By that logic, the gates of bell have prevailed and God has abandoned us. Since that's an impossibility, let's give Bp. Fellay or prayers

There's always the Dimond Brothers.

The agenda is now clear in regard to SSPX. Francis believes that once they are in the fold, they can be conditioned to accept a modern Church.----- Here in the Midwest, I attended Mass two weeks ago. A young Dominican (O.P. Order of Preachers) has been assigned to the parish. He was made an assistant pastor. He is being reprogrammed as a modern shepherd of the streets. In fact, all religious orders are being targeted and modernized. They are dying out anyway. ------This is a new Church of the laity where they will make the decisions and select their ministers according to Teihard de Chardin. Meanwhile at the Mass, the nice looking couple handling the collection money appeared to be controlling the "flow of money" without any control. In a neighboring parish, a computer expert ran off with 500,000.00. He was caught and sentenced to jail time. The good nuns felt sorry for him and he is now doing no jail time. ------ The highlight of the Mass was the handshake of peace. I observed a male of about 20 not only shake an attractive young woman's hand but hugged her, kissed her cheek, and all but ravaged her in the last pew. -----The priesthood is supposed to be an example. In reality, they have been turned into little more than "parish mascots". The idea of a "conduit" for graces from God has been thrown into the gutter as all priests are now "social workers".

I'm sorry but what does any of that have to do with the Society?

Hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day, the Dimond brothers have made incredible presentations like "Magic proves a spirit world exists". Well worth watching.

Isn't the SSPV sedevacantist?

I'm just being sarcastic.

Tancred said...

They may not have led anyone to heaven but they make great vids.

If the Novus Ordo is Catholic, the Gates of Hell have prevailed.

The SSPV is NOT dogmatic on sedevacantism.
