Bishop Lopez Celebrates Mass for the Aberrosexual Lobby

Raul Vera Lopez is known as the bishop of the gay lobby and is tolerated by the Vatican.

Edit: and not a word was said from Rome.

(Mexico City) On the 20th of January Bishop Raul Vera Lopez, Bishop of Saltillo, will be celebrating Mass at the 17th founding of the Comunidad San Aelredo. The aberrosexual organization is part of the gay lobby.
José Raul Vera Lopez, born in 1945, belongs to the Dominican Order. In 1975 he was ordained a priest by Pope Paul VI. in Rome. Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Altamirano in 1987. In 1995 he was appointed bishop coadjutor of San Cristobal de Las Casas. In 1999 he was appointed Bishop of Saltillo.
His mediating role as coadjutor in the Diocese of San Cristobal de Las Casas after the Zapatista riots and his social commitment accelerated the inner-church rise of the Dominican. Since then, he has received numerous awards for his commitment to the indigenous population and human rights. However, this is also an agenda that is in open contradiction to parts of the Church doctrine.

Under Benedict XVI. he was warned, under Francis gets free ride

While Bishop Raul Vera Lopez under Pope Benedict XVI. was warned by the Vatican in 2011, he enjoys free travel under Pope Francis.

Bishop Lopez with homo colors in the church
Under the current Pope, the Mexican bishop was noted for his open commitment to abortion [murder] and aberrosexuality. Both the killing of unborn children and the practiced aberrosexuality are claimed by Vera Lopez in step with the left mainstream as "human rights".
On October 3, 2015, one day before the start of the Second Synod of Bishops on the Family, the bishop appeared as the "star guest" of a meeting of the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics, which are gay organizations calling for aberrosexuality to be recognized by the Catholic Church. In his speech, Bishop Raul Vera told deviants:
"You are our saviors. Please help us! Pope Francis needs you now. He has set aside the doctrine and has taken up the gospel of mercy, peace and love. Please help us! The little ones, but well-organized ones defeat the monsters, and you're well organized and you'll win."

The bishop likes to be "different"

Several months later, the Mexican newspaper Capital Coahuila published photos of a carnival party. Thereupon the bishop was disguised like a female doctor or male doctor remained unclear.
The journalist Emiliano Ruiz Parra, sympathetic to the bishop, wrote about him:
"The Bishop of Saltillo is convinced that there is no salvation in heaven without deliverance on earth. (...) He defends the Central American migrants, the miners, the homosexuals, the Indians, the sex workers, the families of the disappeared in the civil war"
The journalist sums up the behavior of Bishop Raul Vera Lopez by saying that he likes "being different".
Other media already saw it in 2011:
"People think that the bishop is not Catholic."
The reason for this was the request of the bishop to legalize abortion in Mexico. Since 2011 Raul Vera works together with abortion organizations. His nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize 2012 can be seen in this context.

Homosexuality "God-given"?

The bishop is of the opinion that deviant behavior like sodomy is willed by God, which is why no aberrosexual can do anything about his inclination. In an interview with El Pais, Bishop Raul Vera Lopez proudly related what he said to a mother who had come to him to complain to him about her homosexual son:
"You have to judge yourself, because your son has become like that in your womb. If he has become as he is, then he came from your womb."
Criticism of Pope Benedict XVI.  during his pontificate was given a "good hearing" in the Church paper of Saltillo.
In 2013 Vera Lopez spoke at the 33rd Congress of Liberation Theology in Madrid and ridiculed what the Catholic Church's Catechism teachings about aberrosexuality. The bishop did not mind that the congress was sponsored by organizations that advocate abortion.

Whoever rejects homosexuality "is insane"

Anyone who rejects homosexuality, according to the bishop, is "homophobic" and "homophobes" are "mentally ill". Mexican Catholics protested in Rome against petitioning the bishop "who calls the Catholic teaching on homosexuality insane".

Energetic for false "human rights"
But Bergoglian Rome did not respond. While Pope Francis intervened quickly against conservative and traditional bishops and sent an Apostolic Visitor, the opposite happened to Bishop Vera Lopez.
When Pope Francis visited Mexico in February 2016, he held the Mexican bishops a veritable pomp. Bishop Raul Vera Lopez, on the other hand, belonged to a small group of 20 chosen, mainly lay people, including journalists, who were invited by Francis to a confidential meeting.
Francis thus made the episcopate of the most Catholic country in America to understand for whom its doors are closed and for whom they are open. At that time, the Mexican episcopacy was still led by Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera, who was at the beginning of the second family synod among the signatories of the complaint letter, which weighed against the manipulation of the synod with its prefabricated results.

Pope Francis is "muy cuco"

Raul Vera Lopez had described Francis in early February 2016 in an interview with the newspaper El Universal attesting him to be "muy habil, muy cuco", so "very clever, very smart". The bishop thus meant how it is that Francis paves the way of the sacraments to the remarried divorced. That was two months before the publication of the controversial post-synodal letter Amoris laetitia.
The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, says the bishop on the same occasion, has nothing to do with homosexuality. The two cities were "barbarian" inhabited "economic centers" that "exploited" other people. Such is the liberation theological reinterpretation.

Faust and dove of peace united in the diocese
In 2016 , Raul Vera, who likes to show his aberroosexual flag, christened the child of a lesbian couple. It is not an issue for the bishop to this date that homosexuals who use artificial insemination to "bear" children in vitro often have their sex selected. Gay men prefer a son, lesbians a daughter. Bishop Vera Lopez also christened an in vitro the "begotten" daughter on 25 May 2016 in Monclova for the lesbian couple who live in a "gay marriage".
He also didn't worry about their "gay marriage". The two lesbians, one of them the mother of the child, described the bishop as a "parent". He justified his actions by saying, "How could I refuse baptism? If the parents want it, it's because they have a Christian faith." He did not ask where the girl's father was, and whether she was conceived naturally or through artificial insemination. "Does it matter?" The bishop said in a telephone interview with Vercruzanos.info.

The community of San Aelredo

The year 2019, Bishop Raul Vera Lopez began with a Mass for the gay lobby. For the Comunidad San Aelredo it is the start of their activities in the new year. In their invitation it states:
"As a community and social group, in 2006 the Comunidad San Aelredo helped to create a law that brought major changes for the LGBTTTI people in the state of Coahuila and across the country: the Civil Solidarity Pact, which was adopted in January 2007; Talks on the introduction of equal civil marriage, adopted in September 2014, and the Citizens' Register of the Civil Code in Coahuila de Zaragoza, introduced by the Comunidad San Aelredo in June 2017 and adopted by the State Parliament on 13 November 2018.
San Aelredo organizes various events in Coahuila, including the Lesbian Gay Film Festival, Saltillo Diversity March, Sexual Diversity Cultural Week and Homosexual Homosexuals in Saltillo."
The community was founded in 2002 by the American Robert Coogan. The New York journalist moved to Mexico, where Bishop Vera Lopez consecrated him a priest for the diocese of Saltillo. When it came to the conflict with the Vatican in 2011, the bishop claimed that it was all about "dialogue". The community was then formally unbundled from the diocese, but the relationship of the bishop did not change anything. The predominantly gay male community promotes the participation of children and adolescents in gay pride.
Their representatives, assisted and encouraged by Coogan and Bishop Vera Lopez, are invariably practicing homosexuals.

Abuse of a saint

The great Agelred of Rievaulx (1110-1167), an important mystic, came to the dubious honor of becoming the patron saint of this and other homosexual organizations because a British historian put forward the no less dubious thesis that the saint could have been homosexual. Such "homosexual" reinterpretations of history are especially popular since the 90s in fashion and in the gay milieu, albeit mostly arbitrarily. The reason for the misinterpretation in this particular case is the Christian love commandment, which today is often mistaken for lack of understanding with sexuality. Saint Aelred dealt intensively with his love of God and neighbor in his mystical texts.

Rievaulx was destroyed under Henry VIII
In fact, all that can be said of him is that the saint, who entered a Cistercian monastery at the age of twenty-four, may have previously sinned at the Scottish royal court. What kind of sins these were is not known. As a monk, he championed chastity and virginity in his writings and warned against extramarital relations and aberrosexuality. Any form of sexuality, he emphasized in his writings, was a threat to the celibacy of priests and religious.
He was one of the most important religious men in England and Scotland. The monastery Rievaulx in the north of England, whose abbot he was in 1147, he led to great flowering. The convent of initially 25 monks grew under his spiritual guidance to 300 monks. Records say: "Monasticism and love tripled". At that time, 58 Cistercian abbeys were built in the British Isles.
As with so much, Bishop Raul Vera Lopez is not bothered by the abuse of this saint by the gay lobby.

Bergoglian Goblins Publish Libelous Article About Saint Benedict Center -- Local Ordinary Wants them to Stop Teaching What the Church Has Always Taught

In 1958, Feeney correctly wrote that “the Jewish race constitutes a united anti-Christian bloc within Christian society, and is working for the overthrow of that society by every means at its disposal.”

We were just made aware of an ill-intentioned article by the underemployed husband of recently Simcha Fischer, who was recently fired from her job as a writer for the National Catholic Register with her compatriot in religious indifferentism, Mark Shea.  The local ordinary, it appears, no longer wants the Slaves of the Immaculate, a truly Catholic organization founded by Father Leonard Feeney, to teach the Catholic Faith whole and entire.  He is, it also appears, ashamed of Christ.  The diocesan representative, Fr. Georges de Laire, isn't specific about what the issue is, but says:

“They regularly use semantics to mislead people”

The Saint Benedict Center in Still River, Massachusetts, still maintains the thrice-defined Dogma that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church and is in union with the Catholic Church.

What's interesting is to see all of the unfavorable comments in response to this poorly researched and malicious article. Please contribute your own. Anthony writes:

It saddens me that the amount disinformation, ignorance and deception surrounds this truth still exists. If any catholic denies the defined dogma of Outside the Church the is no salvation that person becomes at least a material heretic. The disinfo in the story is this : If the group is schismatic then they don’t recognize the authority of the Bishop and sanctions are meaningless. Is the Bishop going to sanction the local Orthodox church which is definitely in schism. No, he isn’t he can’t. The fact that sanctions are mentioned is because they are Catholics. This demonic stupidity. The church teaches you must be justified to be saved which means in a state of grace which is only achieved in the Catholic Church. To deny this truth is the commission of a mortal.

Unsurprisingly, Fischer's article cites favorably, the mendacious Southern Poverty Law Center.

“I’m really proud of the Catholic Church’s decision here,” said Heidi Beirch of the Southern Poverty Law Center. “They’ve denounced them for years over their anti-semitism.”

Don Nicola Bux: "Pope Francis has an aversion to the Church"

Don Nicola Bux: "the pope can not spread his private ideas instead of the eternally valid Catholic truth." Pope Francis at the General Audience of 2 January 2019.

(Rome) The well-known liturgist Don Nicola Bux is contradicting statements made by Pope Francis at the General Audience on 2 January. In an interview with the daily Quotidiano di Foggia,  the theologian esteemed by Benedict XVI said: "The Pope can not spread his private ideas instead of the eternally valid Catholic truth. The Gospel is not revolutionary".
Don Nicola Bux was one of the advisers who were especially appreciated by Pope Benedict XVI. This is especially true for the liturgical area. Don Bux supported the liturgical renewal, which the German Pope wanted to promote through the recovery of the sacred and the promotion of the traditional Rite.
Under Pope Francis, this changed. Like all the other consultors for the liturgical celebrations of the Pope, Don Bux was no longer confirmed in office. In an interview that Bruno Volpe conducted with him, he commented on Pope Francis' controversial statement on January 4, who two days earlier had stated during the first General Audience of 2019 that the Gospel was "revolutionary."
What was evidently meant to be a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution was supposed to be taken seriously as a statement from the ruling Pope's mouth, however. The statement of the theologian and liturgical expert Don Nicola Bux took it seriously and contradicted it energetically. Here is the full interview:
QF: Don Nicola, is the gospel, as claimed by the pope, revolutionary?
Don Nicola Bux: No. This is a thesis that came into fashion in the 1970s after the publication of a few books, permitting the ideas of '68 and Marxism to shine through. It was intended to make the figure of Jesus more attractive, but has no theological foundation.
QF: Why?
Don Nicola Bux: The Gospel tells us that Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but to complete it. A revolution, on the other hand, spares neither the past nor the present. Jesus is one of them, as St. Paul says so beautifully. He unites everything in himself. It is true that it is written in the Secret Revelation that He makes everything new, but this verse is to be read in the sense that He brings everything to perfection.
QF: Better atheists than Christians who hate?
Don Nicola Bux: I think that the problem is that the Pope deviates from the text prepared for him and directs his eyes to the audience. My impression is that certain statements come from a certain complacency, but above all from his aversion to the Church. Pope Francis prefers, instead of a people in the true sense of the word, a vision of the Church as a blurred, undefined people. He does not realize that he is sliding into a contradictory and Peronist perspective, a form of schizophrenia that even clashes with the idea of mercy so much hailed.
QF: Why?
Don Nicola Bux: When I say that someone who hates, that is objectively in a state of sin, does well to stay away from the Church, but at the same time asks divorced men who are remarried by marriage, who are objectively also sinners, in to come to the Church and give them Communion, which is impossible, I find myself this is a contradiction. Both are in a state of sin. But why be strict with those who hate, but merciful with the remarried divorced? Let us return to Peronism. At present, paradoxically, one wants to let in those who are outside but wants to push out those who are inside. Certain statements are dangerous when they fall on weak or less conscious circles, and have devastating consequences. We risk emptying the churches even more.
Q: That means?
Don Nicola Bux: It's a matter of principle. Can the Pope spread his private opinions instead of the everlasting Catholic truth? No. He is not a private doctor, and it is inconceivable to change her at will or to provide versions of her that contradict the Catholic doctrine and beliefs that are not even found in a museum. And there's something else to say about that, too.
QQ: What do you mean?
Don Nicola Bux: If the museums were useless, nobody would visit them. Do you not agree? The Pastors of the Church must always express their faithfulness to the sound and everlasting doctrine and truth without any contamination, and have to preserve it carefully.

Francis Appoints Retired,Elderly, Old Liberal Marxist to Hong Kong

Not Auxiliary Bishop Ha, but retired Cardinal Tong,  will intervene after the death of Bishop Yeung into diocesan ministry - Tong is considered the co-architect of the disputed September agreement between China and the Holy See

Vatican City (kath.net/KAP) Pope Francis has temporarily recalled 79-year-old Cardinal John Tong Hon (photo) from his retirement to the top of the diocese of Hong Kong. This was reported by the Vatican press service Asianews. Tong, who led the diocese from 2009 to 2017, until further notice replaces bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung, who died on Thursday at age 73. The Vatican itself did not announce the appointment. In any case, the custom is considered unusual because there is a suffragan bishop in Hong Kong. In the event of the death or resignation of the diocesan Bishop, this would normally be the responsibility of an interim diocesan leader.

Tong is considered the co-architect of September's controversial agreement between China and the Holy See on bishop appointments. Tong's predecessor Cardinal Zen Ze-kiun (86) is a determined opponent of rapprochement because he fears disadvantages for the Catholic underground Church in China.

The press service Asianews reiterated fears that Tong's appointment as Apostolic Administrator for Hong Kong would be in China's favor. According to other voices Tong was a neutral choice for a transitional period. This leaves Hong Kong Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing (59) a possible candidate for proper succession.

Auxiliary Bishop Ha, unlike Tong, is considered critical of the regime. He was involved, according to AsiaNews, for imprisoned Chinese bishops, vigils for the massacre at Tiananmen Square and for more democracy.

Pope Francis had again defended the signing of the Interim Agreement between the Holy See and the People's Republic of China on the appointment of bishops in China at the New Year's reception for the Diplomatic Corps on Monday. The agreement was the result of "a long and deliberate institutional dialogue that has succeeded in defining some stable elements of cooperation between the Apostolic See and the civil authorities". The official bishops, without a papal mandate, have now been reinstated in full ecclesial communion and "invited to work generously for the reconciliation of Chinese Catholics and for a new momentum in evangelization". A visible sign of this was the participation of two bishops of China in the Youth Synod. "It is to be hoped that the continuation of the contacts with regard to the implementation of the Closed Provisional Arrangement will help to resolve the outstanding issues and ensure the spaces necessary for the true enjoyment of religious freedom," said Pope Francis.

Appeal From Lepanto Foundation: Dare! Monsignore!

TWENTY-FIVE YEARS LATER...

[Rorate] Twenty-five years ago, on 8 February 1994, the European Parliament voted on a resolution that invited the nations of Europe to promote and give legal protection to homosexuality. In his Angelus address on 20 February 1994, the Holy Father Pope John Paul II appealed to public opinion worldwide, affirming that “the legal approbation of active homosexuality is not morally admissible [...]. The Resolution of the European Parliament has called for the legitimization of a moral disorder. The Parliament has unduly given institutional value to deviant behaviors, which do not conform to God’s plan”.

In May of that same year, the Lepanto Cultural Center [Centro Culturale Lepanto] handed out a manifesto in Strasbourg to parliamentary representatives, called “Europe at Strasbourg: Represented or Betrayed?”. The manifesto made an indignant protest against the promotion of a vice condemned by both Christian and Western conscience, and asked the European bishops “to unite their voices to that of the Supreme Pastor [John Paul II] in order to multiply it in their dioceses, by publicly denouncing the moral fault with which the European Assembly has stained itself and warning the flock entrusted to their care of the growing attacks of anti-Christian forces in the world”.

Today, one after another, the principal European nations, including many of those with the most ancient Catholic tradition, have elevated sodomy to a legal right by recognizing, under different forms, so-called “same-sex marriage” and introducing the concept of the crime of “homophobia.” The Pastors of the Church, who should have formed an unbreakable dam of opposition against the homosexualization of society promoted by the political class and by the media-financial oligarchies, have in fact fostered it by their silence. Even at the highest levels of the Church, the practice of homosexuality and of a so-called “gay-friendly” culture that justifies and encourages homosexual vice has spread like a cancer.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary of Astana, Kazakhstan, said in a message dated 28 July 2018, that “We are witnessing an incredible scenario, in which some priests and even bishops and cardinals, without blushing, are already offering grains of incense to the idol of homosexuality or gender ideology, to the applause of the powerful ones of this world, that is, to the applause of politicians, social media giants and powerful international organizations”.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, in his historic testimony of 22 August 2018, denounced - using precise names and circumstances - the existence of a “homosexual current in favor of subverting Catholic doctrine regarding homosexuality” and the presence of “homosexual networks, which are now widespread in many dioceses, seminaries, religious orders, etc.,” and which “act under the concealment of secrecy and lies with the power of octopus tentacles, and strangle innocent victims and priestly vocations, and are strangling the entire Church”.

These courageous voices remain isolated even until today. The climate of indifference and cover-up which reigns within the Church has profound moral and doctrinal roots that date back to the Second Vatican Council, when the ecclesiastical hierarchies accepted the process of secularization as an irreversible phenomenon. But when the Church subordinates herself to secularism, the Kingdom of Christ becomes conformed to this world and is reduced to a mere power structure. The militant spirit dissipates, and the Church, instead of converting the world to the law of the Gospel, surrenders the Gospel to the world’s demands.

How we long to hear resounding once again the fiery words of a new Saint Peter Damian or Saint Bernardine of Siena, instead of the infamous statement of Pope Francis, “If a person is gay and is seeking the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge them?” If it is true that the meaning of this statement was distorted by the media, such misuse should have been combatted by means of clear and solemn documents condemning sodomy, as St. Pius V did with the two constitutions Cum Primum of 1 April 1566 and Horrendum Illud Scelus of 30 August 1568. Instead, Pope Francis’ Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia of 8 April 2016 not only was silent about this most grave moral disorder but also relativized the precepts of the natural law, opening the path towards the approval of cohabitation and adultery.

And this is why we now make an appeal to you, Monsignor.

TO SERVE THE CHURCH
The term “Monsignor” evokes a certain dignity, not a power or a bureaucratic function. Each one of the bishops, as Successors of the Apostles, are recognized with the title of “Monsignor,” but simple priests are also able to receive this title. The word “dignity” seems to have lost its meaning today, despite the fact that there was an entire declaration of Vatican II dedicated to it. Dignity means an awareness of a role and mission given by God. Respect for a person’s dignity is the source of a feeling of honor. Your dignity, Monsignor, derives from the honor which you have of serving the Church, without seeking either your own interests or the approval of the powerful. You have received the dignity of Monsignor from the Church, not from the men of the Church, and it is to the Church that you must render an account. The Church is the divine society founded by Jesus Christ, ever-perfect and ever-victorious, both in time and in eternity. The men of the Church may either serve the Church or betray her. Serving the Church means placing the interests of the Church, which are those of Jesus Christ, ahead of one’s personal interests. Betraying the Church means placing the interests of a family, a religious institute, or an ecclesiastical authority taken as a private person ahead of the Truth of the Church, which is the Truth of Jesus Christ, the one Way, Truth and Life (John 14:6).
We would be insulting your intelligence, Monsignor, were we not to suppose that you already have a certain awareness of the crisis in the Church. Certain eminent cardinals, on various occasions, have manifested their unease and concern over what is happening in the Church. The same unease is displayed by the common man, who is profoundly disoriented by the new religious and moral paradigms. In the face of this unease, Monsignor, many times you have put up your hands, seeking to calm the person speaking to you, using words like: “There is nothing we can do but be silent and pray. The Pope is not immortal. Let’s wait for the next conclave”. That’s all we can do, you say. We cannot speak; we cannot act. You adopt silence as the supreme rule of your behavior. Is this attitude the result of human self-serving; of a selfishness that seeks above all else to live quietly; of the opportunism of those who are able to adapt themselves successfully to every situation? To assert this would be to make a judgment about your intentions, and a judgment about intentions cannot be made by men; only God can do this on the Day of Judgment, when we will each stand alone before Him, to listen to His lips pronounce the un-appealable sentence that will send us either to eternal happiness or to eternal damnation.
We who live on earth can only judge facts and words as they objectively appear. And the words with which you explain your behavior, Monsignor, at times appear to be more noble than your true feelings “We ought to follow the Pope, even when he displeases us, because he is the Rock on which Christ has founded His Church,” you say; or “we ought to avoid a schism at any cost, because this would be the most serious disaster for the Church".
Noble words, because they state truths. It is true that the Pope is the foundation of the Church, and that the Church can fear nothing worse than a schism. But what we would like you to reflect on, Monsignor, is that the path of absolute silence that you want to follow will bring harm to the Papacy and will hasten a schism in the Church.
It is true that the Pope is the foundation of the Church, but before being founded on him, the Church is founded on Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the primary and divine foundation of the Church, while Peter is the secondary and human foundation - even if it is true that he is divinely assisted. The divine assistance does not exclude the possibility of error or the possibility of sin. In the history of the Church, there has been no lack of popes who have sinned or erred, without this fact ever prejudicing the institution of the papacy. To say that “we need to always follow the Pope and never depart from him,” while refusing to respectfully correct him in exceptional cases, means attributing to the Church all of the errors which, over the course of the centuries, have been made by the men of the Church. The absence of this distinction between the Church and the men of the Church enables the enemies of the Church to attack her, and many false friends of the Church to refuse to truly serve Her.
Equally fraught with consequences is the assertion that to break silence, to tell the truth, and to denounce – if necessary – the infidelity of the same Supreme Pastor, would lead to a schism. The word “schism” means division, and never as in this moment of her history has the Church appeared so internally divided and fragmented. Within each nation, within each diocese, even within each parish, it is impossible to agree on a common way of living according to the Gospel, because each one experiences and lives a different Christianity – both liturgically and dogmatically – with each one constructing their own religion in such a way that the only thing remaining in common is the name “Catholic”, but the essence of Catholicism is no longer present. What are the reasons for this fragmentation? The star that lights the way has disappeared, and the faithful make their way in the darkness of night, following opinions and personal sentiments, without even one voice being raised to remind them of the unchanging doctrine and praxis of the Church. The schism is being caused by the darkness, which is the daughter of silence. Only clear voices, crystalline voices, voices which are entirely faithful to the Tradition, are able to dispel the shadows and permit good Catholics to overcome the divisions which have been provoked by this pontificate, and to avoid new humiliations to the Church beyond those which have already been inflicted upon her by Pope Francis. There is only one way to save the Church from schism: Proclaim the Truth. By remaining silent we will only further the schism.
AN URGENT APPEAL
Monsignor, you who enjoy a certain dignity, you who exercise a moral authority, you who have received an inheritance –what are you afraid of? The world may attack you with defamation and slander. Your superiors may deprive you of your authority and external dignity. But it is to the Lord that you must render an account, as must each one of us on the Day of Judgment, when everything will be weighed and judged according to measure. Do not ask us what you ought to do concretely. If you will dare to ask Him, the Holy Spirit will not fail to suggest to your conscience times, ways, and tones of coming out into the open, in order to be “the light of the world, a city set on a hill, a lamp set on a lampstand” (Matthew 5:13-16).
What we ask of you, Monsignor, is that you assume an attitude of filial criticism, of deferential resistance, of devout moral separation from those responsible for the Church’s self-destruction. Dare to openly encourage those who defend the Church from within, and who publicly profess the entire Truth of the Catholic Faith. Dare to seek out other confreres who will join you and us in issuing that cry of war and of love which St. Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort raised in his “Fiery Prayer” [Prière embrasée] with these prophetic words: “Fire! Fire! Fire! There is a fire in the house of God! There is fire within souls! There is fire even within the Sanctuary!”.
Tongues of fire like those of the day of Pentecost, as well as flashes of fire like those of Hell, seem to be hanging over the earth. A destroying fire, a purifying fire, a restoring fire – destined to engulf the entire world, to consume it and transform it. May the divine fire flare up within us before the fire of God’s wrath does, which will reduce our society to ashes as happened to Sodom and Gomorrha. And this is the reason why, twenty-five years after the unfortunate resolution of the European Parliament, I now make this appeal to you, for the good of souls, for the honor of the Church, and for the salvation of society.
Monsignor, please accept this appeal, which is also an invocation to the Blessed Mother and to the Angels, that they may intervene, as soon as possible, in order to save the Church and the whole world.
Dare, Monsignor, to take up this holy cause in 2019, and you will find us battling at your side in this good fight!

Roberto de Mattei

President of the Lepanto Foundation
