Edit: Bergoglio’s favorite Modernist news source in Spain, Religion Digital is gloating and claiming that Wuerl, one of his creatures, has actually been given a promotion, and fingers Old Liberal and aberrosexual enabler, Cardinal Dolan, as the source of the leaks that led to Wuerl’s “resignation”. Now Dolan is supposedly all alone as Bergoglio’s remaining minions close in.

Meanwhile, an Opinion maker at NYTs finds that Bergoglio doesn’t understand and even ignores  the pain of sexual abuse or the responsibility effeminates like Wuerl have in this.

[New York Times Opinion] In his letter on Friday accepting the resignationof Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the Catholic archbishop of Washington, Pope Francis praised the departing prelate for his “nobility” in not trying to defend “mistakes” in his handling of sexual-abuse allegations.

The pope misses the point. 

The archbishop may not be as culpable as other bishops who more systematically covered up sexual predation, and in at least one case he took action that was initially thwarted by the Vatican.

But a devastatingly detailed grand jury report on widespread child sex abuse in Pennsylvania churches showed that Cardinal Wuerl, as bishop of Pittsburgh, was immersed in a clerical culture that hid pedophilic crimes behind euphemisms, conducted unprofessional investigations and evaluations of accused priests, kept acknowledged cases of sex abuse secret from parish communities and avoided reporting the abuse to police.

Elite Conference Between Progressive Catholics and Freemasons in Home of Saint Francis

Freemasons: new attempt to come closer by Lodge Members and Church Representatives

(Rome) Next October 19, an elite study conference between members of the Catholic Church and Freemasonry will take place in a medieval castle near the central Italian city of Gubbio, now a luxury hotel.

The city of Gubbio, whose name is mainly associated with St. Francis of Assisi, belongs to the diocese of Assisi. On the website of the diocesan website it describes the conference:

"In a delicate phase of the pontificate of Francis, the [...] event arouses special interest in a historic moment in which more open positions within [the Church] are coming forth, such as those recently received by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, the President of the Pontifical Commission For Culture.”

Specifically, with the open letter "Dear Brother Freemasons", which Cardinal Ravasi published on 14 February 2016 in the Italian business paper Il Sole 24 Ore, declaring himself “more prepared to dialogue and more open  to different positions.” Overall, Freemasonry shows amazing satisfaction about the administration of Pope Francis, who is mentioned in the diocesesan statement (see The Bishop "Very close" to the Pope Congratulates the Masons). These include more recent attempts at "dialogue". First attempts of this kind came after the Second Vatican Council, especially in the 70s. For the Church, membership in the Church of Jesus Christ and membership in a Masonic Lodge is considered incompatible.

The Bishop of Assisi is Msgr. Domenico Sorrentino, who was secretary of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship and the Order of the Sacraments from 2000 to 2005 (Pope Francis' Mysterious Liturgy Commission).

The Catholic Church is not represented in Gubio, but a certain part of the Church. Among the speakers is a pastor of the Waldenses. Their origin dates back to the High Middle Ages. Since the 16th century, however, Italian Calvinism is actually forming. Especially in Piedmont, but also in Tuscany, the Waldenses have traditionally had close ties with Freemasonry. The press release of the diocese of Assisi uses the term "church" for the Waldenses. According to the doctrine of the Church, as it is written down in the catechism of the Catholic Church, only those communities that have apostolic succession have a share in the Church of Christ, which was never the case for the Waldenses.

Other speakers include the Catholic priest, Don Gianni Giacomelli, prior of the Camaldolese monastery Fonte Avellana; the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Italy, Stefano Bisi  and the President of the College of the Reverend Masters of the Masonic Lodges of Umbria, Luca Nicola Castiglione.

The conference's motto is: "Church and Freemasonry: Is Dialogue Possible?"

Organizer of the meeting is the Association of Catholic Workers ACLI in the Catholic Action. But the final word will be Stefano Bisi’s, Grand Master of the Grand Orient, Italy's most influential freemasonry.

Turbulent Appointment Process for New Substitute for Secretary of State

The new substitute of the Cardinal Secretary of State has not been able to take up his post and is already in the crossfire of an anonymous dossier.

(Rome) Today, Vatican diplomat Edgar Pena Parra will take up his post as the new substitute of the Secretary of State. The Venezuelan was appointed last August 15 by Pope Francis as the successor of Curial Archbishop Angelo Becciu. For several days now, a dossier on the new substitute has caused dismay in the Vatican. After the scandal surrounding McCarrick and the scandal Coccopalmerio, does this threaten to be the next scandal that shakes the pontificate of Pope Francis?

After the relationship between Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and his substitute Becciu things have become more and more tense, but  both are familiar to the Pope. Francis intervened last May to resolve the situation. He appointed Becciu Prefect of the Congregation of the Causes of Saints and at the same time made him Cardinal.

From Maracaibo via Maputo to Rome

Titular Archbishop Edgar Pena Parra comes from the archdiocese of Maracaibo and was ordained a priest in 1985. After studying Canon Law, he graduated from the Vatican Diplomatic Academy and joined the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See in 1993. In 2011 he achieved the rank of apostolic nuncio. Most recently, he represented the Holy See in Mozambique.

The article does not come from Sandro Magister, the Vaticanist of the newspaper, but from investigative journalist Emiliano Fittipaldi. Fittipaldi was already sitting in dock of the Vatican Court for the Vatileaks 2 scandal, but was acquitted.

The closest intimate conspirators of Francis see in the dossier a "new ambush by the conservative front" against the pope, so says L'Espresso.

The appointment as substitute makes the Vatican diplomat number three in the Roman hierarchy. He'll be right behind the Pope and the Secretary of State. For Pena Parra this means a big career jump from the margins to the center of the universal Church. Because of the importance of the office, the appointment was "extremely sensitive," according to the weekly magazine.

With the appointment of the diplomat, Francis surprised the Roman hierarchy, as Pena Parra is more or less unknown in the Vatican. "While the nuncio in Rome appears like a Martian, many in Venezuela know him," says L'Espresso. Not everyone appreciates him.

Pena Parra in the Viganò dossier

The latter includes Nuncio Carlo Maria Viganò, the former Apostolic Nuncio in the US and author of the Viganò dossier, which was published on 26 August, and caused the church leadership considerable difficulties. Viganò accused Pope Francis of having known of the gay double life of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, and of having made McCarrick his confidant for the US since June 2013, instead of taking him down. Nuntius Viganò has been calling for Francis's resignation ever since.

In his dossier there is also an indication of Pena Parra. Viganò writes that the Venezuelan has close connections to the primate of Honduras, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga. From 2003-2007 he worked at the Nunciature in Tegucigalpa. Cardinal Maradiaga himself is at the center of a scandal in which he remains exhonerated, at least so far, but had to sacrifice his Auxilaey at the end of July, a Bishop whose aberrosexual double life had exploded into the public eye. Officially, Bishop Pineda was retired at his own request. In this way, any suspicion should be kept away from Cardinal Maradiaga, critics say. Literally Viganò writes this about Pena Parra:

"Disturbing information that concerns him came to me from those responsible for Papal Councils.”

The apostolic nuncio does not elaborate in his dossier on what "worrying information" it was. "It is certain that not only Viganò has doubts about Francis’ decision," said the weekly magazine.

The dossier Pena Parra

Nine days after Pena Parra's appointment, the paper in the article published yesterday, someone wrote a "very harsh report on allegedly immoral behavior of the priest." The report was accompanied by photocopies of documents signed by the then archbishop of Maracaibo, Domingo Roa Perez. They refer to doubts and serious allegations against the then seminarian Edgar Pena Parra. Msgr. Roa Perez was from 1961 to 1992 Archbishop of Maracaibo in Venezuela. He passed away in 2000.

The dossier Pena Parra covers 25 pages and is signed with "laity of the archdiocese of Maracaibo". A few days ago it was sent by e-mail to several prelates who immediately informed Pope Francis - and L’Espresso.

The core of the dossier is a letter written in 1985 by archbishop Roa Perez to the Rector of the Archdiocesan seminary of San Cristobal attended by the young Pena Parra. After studying philosophy in 1985, he had just completed his studies in theology. He was to ordained a priest in August. Archbishop Roa Perez, "who for some time had doubts about the candidate, had just received an anonymous letter," says L'Espresso. The information was so concrete that he took it seriously enough to seek more clarity.

The Archbishop informed San Cristobal Rain, Pio Leon Cardenas, that the reports on the behavior of the young Pena Parra were "quite negative", which is why they did not want to dismiss him from the seminary, but did not want him to continue there.” Hoping that the situation would not be so explosive, he decided to send him to another seminary where he had to continue his studies, and to put him under special observation. From Caracas, where he studied theology, came "quite positive reports," so that the decision was considered appropriate to admit him to the diaconate and shortly thereafter to priestly ordination. "Now I received an anonymous letter from Caracas stating that after the third year Pena Parra was dismissed from the seminary of San Cristobal: for homosexuality." The case was not known because a priest of the archdiocese had falsified of the report on Pena Parra.

Intrigue or truth?

The archbishop ended his letter to the Rector with the sentence: "I do not know if it is an intrigue. You will understand what inner distress affects me. I desperately need priests, but I can not be a 'miserable atheist,' as a saint of the Church says, referring those to consecration who are clearly unworthy. As I said, it can be an intrigue, but it can also be true, which the anonymous writer emphatically claims. I vehemently ask you to check the matter.”

The fact is that Pena Parra was ordained a priest. For Archbishop Roa Perez, the suspicions seem to have not been substantiated. Does someone play with fake cards to harm the new substitute?

L'Espresso asked the Vatican Press Office for an opinion on the dossier, in particular as regards its authenticity, without receiving an answer.

"But it is a fact that the pope, after being informed of the dossier, resolutely stated that he did not believe in the validity of the allegations."

Francis had told his confidants that the dossier was, “like Viganò's attack against him.”

The papal entourage is therefore certain that it is "always the conservative front that seeks to discredit its magisterium and the prestige of its most faithful.”

Fittipaldi concludes with an astonishing remark:

"A few days ago, the Prefect of the Congregation of Bishops, Marc Ouellet, efficiently refuted the most serious allegations of the open letter from Viganò. The new affair shows that the attack on the pope is far from over. "

The remark astonishes because Cardinal Ouellet reprimanded Nuntius Viganò sharply, but at the same time substantively confirmed his central points. The cardinal's defense reads more like an indictment of Francis whom he defends.

Party founder Redouane Ahrouch: Then men and women will ride the bus separately and electoral lists will be possible without women.

Brussels (kath.net) In 2030, mainly Muslims would live in Brussels, then in the middle of Europe in Holland there would be a 100 percent pure Islamic state. This is hoped for at least by Redouane Ahrouch, co-founder of the Islam Party in the Netherlands. "Replace all civil and criminal codes with Sharia law." Period, says the Mohamedan politician. Incidentally, the party has been allowed in Holland for years, and for the first time in 2012, it moved into the municipal councils of the Brussels districts of Anderlecht and Molenbeek. Gofundme Page Shuts Down Appeal for Chicago Priest (Too Catholic)

DETROIT (ChurchMilitant.com) - A fundraising campaign that raised $16,000 for a Chicago priest persecuted by Cdl. Blase Cupich was revoked by GoFundMe, which deemed it a "violation" of their terms and conditions. All money was sent back to donors. The priest, Fr. Paul John Kalchik, received nothing. 

Outrage from Catholics, who considered GoFundMe's move an act of anti-Catholic bigotry, resulted in more than twice as much raised — $40,000 — in only 17 hours at a new campaign. [He’s raised over $90,000.]

"I opened up Church Militant just to check on progress, and was floored!" Kalchik told Church Militant Tuesday. "It is phenomenal to see how much people are giving to ensure that justice is rendered on my behalf. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You."

Benedict Not Present for Canonizations?

Among the persons who are being canonized, there is also Pope Paul VI, who became the cardinal of the theologian Joseph Ratzinger (later Benedict XVI) from Germany in the consistory of June 27, 1977. SSPX Statement On Canonization of Paul VI

On the occasion of the Synod of Bishops on Sunday, October 14, 2018, Pope Francis will celebrate the canonization of Pope Paul VI.

The Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X reiterates the grave misgivings expressed at the beatification of Paul VI on October 19, 2014:

- These beatifications and canonizations of the last popes through an accelerated process are beyond the wisdom of centuries of Church rules. Are they not striving for the canonization of the Popes of the Second Vatican Council, rather than the determination of the heroic nature of their theological virtues? Knowing that the first task of a Pope - the Successor of Peter - is to strengthen the brethren in the faith (Lk 22, 32), there is every reason to be at a loss.

- Certainly Paul VI. the Pope of the encyclical Humanae Vitae (July 25, 1968), who brought light and comfort to the Catholic families at a time when the fundamental principles of marriage were violently attacked. He is also the author of the Creed of the People of God (June 30, 1968), through which he wished to recall the Catholic Articles of Faith denied by prevailing Progressiveism, notably the scandalous Dutch Catechism (1966).

- But Paul VI. is also the pope who completed the Second Vatican Council; He spread a doctrinal liberalism within the Church, which is expressed in errors such as religious freedom, collegiality, and ecumenism. The result was a confusion, as he himself had to admit on December 7, 1968: "The Church makes an hour of unrest, of self-criticism, you could even say, self-destruction [...] as if the Church was taking on itself." The next year he admitted: "In many areas the Council has not yet brought us peace of mind, but has rather provoked unrest and problems that are not conducive to the strengthening of the Kingdom of God in the Church and in souls." This went on in the alarm call of June 29, 1972: "The smoke of Satan has penetrated through some gap in the temple of God: doubt, uncertainty, questioning, restlessness, dissatisfaction, confrontations have spread ..." - But he let it pass in this statement without taking appropriate measures to stop this self-destruction.

- Paul VI. is the pope who, for ecumenical reasons, ordered the liturgical reform of the Mass and all rites of sacramental dispensation. The Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci denounced the new Mass as a "striking departure from Catholic theology of Mass, both in the whole and in the details, as described in the XXII. Session of the Council Archbishop Lefebvre explained in succession that the new Mass "filled with Protestant spirit [...] contains a poison harmful to the faith" 2.

- Under his pontificate, many priests and religious were persecuted and even condemned for their loyalty to the Tridentine Mass. The Society recalls with pain the condemnation of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in 1976; he was declared suspens a divinis because of his attachment to this Mass and his categorical opposition to the reforms. Only in 2007 it came through the Motu Proprio Benedict XVI. recognizing that the Tridentine Mass has never been abolished.

Today, more than ever, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X renews its attachment to the 2,000-year tradition of the Church. She is convinced that this fidelity, far from being a backward spasm, will bring the cure for the Church's self-destruction. So its Superior General, H.H.P. Davide Pagliarani, recently proclaims: "Our dearest wish is that the official Church does not consider the treasure of tradition as a burden or as a long-outdated berth, but as the only possible way to renew oneself."

New Entrants to Seminaries of Tradition — SSPX Has Best Year Yet

Seminaries of tradition again have many new entrants in 2018. In the picture a new priest of the Servi Jesu et Mariae with Cardinal Gerhard Müller.

(Rome) The academic year 2018/2019 also began at the seminaries of tradition. An incomplete look at the figures of the entry year 2018.

It has already been reported that in the International Seminary St. Peter in Wigratzbad (Bavaria) founded in 1988, the Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) 24 candidates have entered. At the English-speaking seminary in the US, there are another 15. Overall, the Society has recorded 39 new entrants.

Founded in 1990, the Institute Christ the King and High Priest (ICRSS) has  announced 22 new entrants to the Order's own seminary San Filippo Neri in Gricigliano, near Florence.

Founded in 2006, Institut du Bon Pasteur (Institute of the Good Shepherd, IBP) has six new entrants to his seminary Saint Vincent de Paul in Courtalain, France.

In the seminary "de la Castille" of the founded in 2005 by the Société de Miséricorde Divine (Society of Missionaries of Divine Mercy) in the diocese of Frejus-Toulon in France, there were four new entrants.

The SSPX (FSSPX), founded in 1970, has 16 new entrants to the Saint-Curé d'Ars seminary in Flavigny, France; 27 new entrants to the St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia (USA); seven new entrants to the Seminary of the Sacred Heart in Zaitzkofen near Regensburg (Bavaria); seven new entrants to the seminary Nuestra Señora Corredentora at La Reya in Argentina and eight new entrants to the Holy Cross seminary in Goulbourn, Australia. In total, 65 candidates have entered the seminaries of the Society. This is the highest entry rate since the Society came into existence.

The four canonically recognized communities of tradition and the canonically unrecognized Society of Saint Pius X list 136 new entrants to their seminaries.

There are currently no figures on new entrants from other communities of tradition, such as Fraternité Saint-Vincent-Ferrier (Brotherhood of St. Vincent Ferrer, FSVF), founded in 1979 and canonically recognized in 1988, Fraternité Saint-Thomas-Becket (Brotherhood St. Thomas Becket, FSTB), the Institute of Saint Philip Neri founded in 2003 in Berlin, , the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer (FSSR) on Papa Stronsay founded in 1987, Servi Jesu et Mariae (SJM in 1988  in Blindenmarkt near St. Pölten (Lower Austria), the Old Rite Benedictine monasteries such as Le Barroux, Fontgombault, Norcia, Reichenstein and other monasteries of canons, Cistercians, Dominicans, Capuchins, hermits, etc. and other communities of tradition.

Pope Wants Money From Rich Religious Rightists He Despises to Cover His Mismanagement and Corruption

(Rome / New York) More and more revelations give the influence of a "Church mafia on the levers," according to Riposte Catholique, clear outlines. It's also about The Papal Foundation, a foundation largely unknown in Europe, based in the United States.

The purpose of this charitable institution is to raise funds among US Catholics for the financial support of papal projects. Specifically, the ruling Pope will be provided with the means to help the poorest of the poor, to finance the construction and maintenance of schools on a papal request, and to provide scholarships to pupils and students. One of the applicants for the foundation is the pope himself.

The Papal Foundation

Members can be physical or juridical persons, whether companies, foundations or organizations. Anyone who becomes a member undertakes to donate at least one million dollars over the next ten years, with each member making at least $100,000 available annually. With their money, donors can do corporal works of mercy, not by doing it directly, but by letting the Pope choose the people they want to sponsor.

The foundation's assets were estimated at $206 million last spring. In 1990, the first payment was made to Rome. At first it was a million dollars a year, by 2000 three million a year and in 2015 a total of even 15 million.

Meanwhile, the "Papal Foundation" has been drawn into the conflict that has befallen the Catholic Church in the United States. A conflict was fueled by Pope Francis in Rome but recently it takes an unexpected turn.

The reason for this is the sexual abuse scandal that is poaching the Church in the US. In addition, there is the accusation in the air that foundation funds have been misused. It could still have a legal sequel.

It's not just about control over the funds. US Catholics are growing increasingly displeased with the abuse scandals on the one hand, and the papal administration on the other, and the associated attacks on faithful Church circles in the United States. In other words, believing US Catholics, less and less able to support Pope Francis' course, are increasingly tired of being abused by Rome but having to pay money to Rome.

And now in turn.

The foundation was for McCarrick "a lever in Rome"

Archbishop Theodore McCarrick, who lost his cardinal status last July for gross sexual abuse charges against him, was one of the founders of The Papal Foundation in 1988. This is not surprising, since all cardinals residing in the US are automatically members of the board of trustees. Although the foundation is not a McCarrick project, his name is linked to the Foundation like no other US prelate. Therefore, the question is whether McCarrick also used his position on the money for self-serving purposes. After all, he was Foundation Chairman for many years.

Since McCarrick's loss of the hat, the board consists of nine cardinals. There are also six archbishops and bishops and nine laymen appointed by the cardinals.

Last July, as the McCarrick scandal broke out, the Washington Post quoted Steve Schneck, longtime director of the Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies at the Catholic University of America (CUA), as saying:

"The Papal Foundation was for him [McCarrick] a great lever in Rome".

Schneck himself often collaborated with McCarrick:

"There is no Catholic organization in the US for which he did not raise any money."

Whoever brings money is usually welcome. McCarrick was a capable fundraiser, as the industry term for "social marketing" is also in the German-speaking world today.

The bankrupt hospital and the Congo royalties

Last spring, the discreetly-based foundation was hit by a controversy in the public headlines. LifeSiteNews published internal documents on an exceptional grant that the Foundation should grant to the Vatican.

The IDI Rome, mismanagement, money laundering, embezzlement

In June 2017, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin informed the presiding Cardinal of the Foundation, Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, of a special request from Pope Francis. The foundation will provide $25 million to restart the Dermatology Hospital, including the Cancer Research Center in Rome. He is referring to the Istituto Dermopatico dell'Immacolata (IDI), a highly specialized Order hospital of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception (Congregatio Filiorum Immaculatae Conceptionis, CFIC). The Order was founded in 1857 by lay brother Luigi Maria Monti to assist sick and dying people in Rome. In 1865 they received papal recognition, while the Brotherhood was converted in 1904 into a religious order, which also includes priests. In 1925, the foundation stone was laid for the hospital, during which a large number of Jews were hidden during the German occupation in the Eternal City. The hospital quickly enjoyed a great reputation.

The Order is active on four continents today. The IDI was the prize of the Order’s Italian Province, but fell into the wrong hands. The flagship project became the "scandal hospital", as the Italian media called it. That did not refer to the medical supply, but also a scandalous management. In December 2011, the 250-bed hospital was bankrupt. The whole extent of the scandal became known only over the next few years. Five years was “enough" for the responsible person to drive the renowned clinic financially on the wall. As the Italian prosecutor wrote, the management had accumulated a debt of almost one billion euros. "More debt than 20 countries in the world have," says LifeSiteNews.

In 2013, the three main leaders were arrested, including a priest. The allegation was bankruptcy fraud, money laundering and embezzlement. The arrested priest, Fr. Franco Decaminada, was accused, among other things, of diverting a part of 14 misappropriated millions of euros for himself. Not from the coffers of the hospital, but the Order's province. In addition, he had "withdrawn without any reason" two million in cash from the coffers of the hospital, according to the examining magistrate, who confirmed the arrest warrant. The prosecution seized a villa in Tuscany belonging to a real estate company owned by Father Decaminada. For reconstruction work in the villa, more than 900,000 euros had been diverted from the hospital, according to the Roman prosecutor Michele Nardi.

Bloated costs, incorrect bills and the shadow of 'Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia, who is said to have sucked in at the flow of money. In the Congo, the Order received royalties from the oil industry in exchange for medical services from the state. They were managed by a company registered in Luxembourg. A controversial "wish" by Pope Francis

The grant Pope Francis wanted for the hospital was a hundred times higher than the usual individual grants usually granted by the Pope's Foundation in the United States.

Cardinal Wuerl brought the wish of the Pope in June 2017 to the Board of Trustees and surprised his members. He was actively supported by Cardinal McCarrick. In August 2017, the Foundation actually paid eight million to the Vatican. Already at that time, some members of the foundation council had stomach aches, but they did not yet know about the background of the cash flow.

It was the laity in the foundation who wanted to drill and get information, and the more in Italy that it became known, the more indignant the mood became. How could the "Pope of the Poor" use funds destined for charity to clean up corrupt mismanagement? Then donors quit their membership and withdrew from the foundation.

Although the laity opposed it, the Cardinals and Bishops voted in December for another $5 million payment. The money was transferred in January 2018. This was fire on the roof.

An appointed examination board of the foundation criticized the decision. It was "irresponsible, unjustified and ruthless". It would be difficult to find donors in the future, if the money is used in such a way.

The donors are "not milking cows"

In the Catholic Herald, James Longon, a member of the Audit Committee, wrote in March 2018 about the laity like him, the actual funders: "They are business people of great acumen, with years of experience and exceptional achievements." His reproach: how to demand serious business people who make their money decently and hard, use their money to clean up mismanagement, corruption and embezzlement. That was "gross abuse.” The donors are "stewards" and not "milking cows," said Longon, who left the foundation in protest. "I'm 73 years old and I'm getting closer to the judge," because he could not support something like that.

It was an outrage that Cardinal Wuerl, because of the resistance in the foundation, resorted to means that had hitherto been uncommon. The bishops voted with one exception in the block for the transfer to Rome. There was strong group pressure. None of the prelates wanted to stand as "opponents of the pope."

The Cardinals Wuerl and McCarrick tried because of the mismatch even to bring the payment of the remaining 12 million as quickly as possible on the stage. They argued with an "emergency" in which the hospital is located, which is why urgent action is urgently needed. When the lay people learned that the Vatican had not even passed the eight million in August 2017 to the hospital, the displeasure was complete. Other donors threatened to retreat. The matter became so serious that Cardinal Wuerl finally had to ask Pope Francis to renounce the remittance of the remainder.

Pope Francis reacted angrily and canceled the annual reception for the foundation in March. No money, no audience.

"That's clericalism," wrote the Catholic Herald.

The Pope of the Poor closed the door to be shut in front of the donors when he did not get what he wanted. And what he wanted was not for the poor, but for the settlement of a culpable, corrupt mismanagement.

This explains why a layman is considered one of the founding members of The Better Church Governance Group. This group gathered at the Catholic University in Washington on October 1 and decided to spend more than $ 1.2 million to screen all cardinals eligible to vote. This should prevent another McCarrick case. Not so clearly said, but obviously meant that another case Bergoglio should be avoided, namely the election of a pope, of which hardly anyone knew anything [I’m disagreeing with this. Bergoglio was a known entity when he was elected.] neither what he thinks nor for what understanding he had of the Cchurch.

McCarrick's conflict of interest

The presence McCarrick in the Board of Trustees could still have a big sequel. McCarrick, then a cardinal, attended all four meetings of the Board of Trustees between June 2017 and April 2018, which involved Pope Francis' $25 million grant.

McCarrick strongly supported the papal desire, as various sources confirmed. With the exception of the June meeting, he was under investigation during the other three meetings. The impetus came a few weeks before the June meeting. At least since October 2017, McCarrick knew, according to First Things, that there was an investigation against him. He voted for each of the money transfers to the Vatican. His cardinal dignity, and thus his seat on the Foundation Council, he lost only on July 28, 2018.

This raises the question of whether and what role the cash flows played in his position in the Vatican. First Thingsspeaks of a "serious conflict of interest". Against McCarrick was the position he took for which he decided for cash grants. In return could he hope for leniency? [He made a friend of the mamon of iniquity.] Was that also true in the years before, since he founded the foundation in 1988 and since 1990 had been flowing money to Rome?

According to First Things, he might also be in conflict with the state of Pennsylvania's legal system. To be exempt, charitable organizations must comply with certain requirements, including a check on whether the purpose of the funds granted is respected. In addition, according to the opinion of lawyers, McCarrick due to the conflict of interests, would have to make dormant his seat on the Foundation Board or at least not be allowed to participate in the votes. He could have violated applicable law. This could also challenge the decisions and cause the Vatican to repay the 13 million dollars already transferred.

Cardinal Pell’s departure from Rome

In terms of time, Cardinal Wuerl, who’s departure was announced in June 2017 by  the Cardinal Secretary of State Parolin, coincided with Cardinal George Pell's departure from Rome. Pell left the Vatican the same month and returned to Australia to defend himself against allegations of sexual abuse. At the Roman Curia he was Prefect of the newly established Economic Secretariat. Formally, he is still out of service. Pell has not only the reputation of being a serious champion of zero tolerance, but also a good steward. As a result, the former archbishop of Sydney quickly came into conflict with old Vatican cliques who tolerated no interference in their finances.

The name of Cardinal Domenico Calcagno, Prefect of the Apostolic Property Administration (APSA), was particularly frequent. Pope Francis was more concerned with these circles, who made no secret of having chosen him, than with Cardinal Pell, who is not been counted among the Bergoglians. The responsibilities of the Economic Secretariat were severely curtailed by Francis before they could even be applied. US Vaticanist Pentin wrote this upon Pell’s departure from Rome:

"The longer Cardinal Pell is away from Rome, the more likely it is that the financial misconduct of the 'old guard' will continue and the financial reforms that Pell has been working on will continue to falter."

McCarrick and his circle

It is not just the membership and role of McCarrick on the Board of The Papal Foundation that seems problematic from today's perspective. This is true of at least two other Church leaders who held leading positions in the Foundation, some of them until a few days ago.

McCarrick, whose aberrosexual double life was described as "perverted and diabolical" by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former nuncio to the US, was founding president of the foundation and remained there for many years until his cardinal census of 2001.

Bransfield, who was recently appointed Foundation President

Until 18 September 2018, Msgr. Michael Bransfield, Bishop of Wheeling-Charleston, was President of the Foundation. His life is closely linked to McCarrick's. His Protégé Bransfield, became Rector of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. Bransfield held this prestigious position until his episcopal appointment, which took place in December 2004 during the last months of life of Pope John Paul II. As president of the foundation, McCarrick was his predecessor. In the context of the McCarrick case, the Pennsylvania Report also raised charges against him. On 18 September 2018, Pope Francis accepted his resignation, officially for reasons of age, unofficially because of the allegations. With his resignation, the Vatican announced that investigations into sexual misconduct and abuse were initiated.

The foundation immediately deleted his name from its website.

The third name is that of Thomas Benestad, who was the first managing director of the Papal Foundation from 1988-2001. He is also accused of sexual abuse in the Pennsylvania Report. The Vatican has suspended him from the priesthood. In 2014, however, he was reinstated in his priestly rights because of a statute of limitations in the United States. Today he lives in Florida, in a diocese, but refuses to practice the priestly ministry.

The shadow of McCarrick and his homosexuals lays over the foundation. It is also about the suspicion that he made his position in the foundation selfishly serviceable.

All sides are aware of the importance and influence of the foundation. But there is no doubt that those Catholic circles in the United States are currently rehearsing the uprising, who are tired of being discredited and disparaged from Rome as "religious rightists", while they are watching the pontificate of Francis with increasing displeasure, how the reputation of the whole Church is soiled with filth, of persons especially close to Francis. This simmering conflict is also about The Papal Foundation.

It is also unknown who would convince Pope Francis to apply to the US Foundation for the 25 million grant.

Can Coccopalmerio Remain a Cardinal Another Day?

(Rome) Cardinal Coccopalmerio is already the second close confidante of Pope Francis to make revelations about a degenerate double life. At noon today, the Vatican announced another sensational move in connection with the McCarrick case and the Pennsylvania report: Cardinal Donald Wuerl was retired as Archbishop of Washington. 

What's wrong with this pontificate?

The events come thick and fast. At the end of July, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick was forced to renounce his cardinal status because he had led a degenerate double life abusing his position and engaging in inhumane sexual contact with subordinate priests and seminarians. It was the first denial of this kind in Church history.

Since then, his successor as Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, has been in the crossfire. Wuerl was accused of knowing McCarrick's misconduct and covering it. Pope Francis had to drop his friend McCarrick, but tried to hold on to Wuerl. However, a few weeks ago it was speculated that Francis might also drop Wuerl to rescue at least one other McCarrick protégé, Cardinal Kevin Farrell. Farrell had been called to Rome by Francis, allegedly on McCarrick's recommendation, and made Prefect of the new Dicastery for Lay, Family, and Life, and made cardinal. Farrell lived with McCarrick in the same house for several years, but the Pope does not want to hear about his homosexual double life. Not everyone believes that.

Two days ago, the next scandal burst already. LifeSiteNews lit the bomb Coccopalmerio, another pope confidant. Cardinal Coccopalmerio was President of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts until last April. After the revelations, the US news portal Church Militant wrote:

"True. We have our own well-placed sources in Rome, which confirmed it to us weeks ago. Cardinal Coccopalmerio was present at the gay drug orgy by his secretary. Capozzi got busted. Coccopalmerio got off scot-free. Now he advises the Pope on sanctions against Viganò."

On August 26, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former nuncio in the United States, had sounded with a dossier with which he made serious accusations against Pope Francis and demanded his resignation. He accuses the ruling Pope of having known about the "perverse and diabolical" homosexual double life of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick since June 2013, but did nothing. Rather, Francis made the scandal cardinal into his personal confidant for the United States.

In his dossier Viganò listed numerous names, which he assigned as working in the Vatican "gay lobby". It was only with the help of this gay lobby that it had been possible to cover up McCarrick's machinations and to keep his personnel file clean.

Coccopalmerio is examining how Archbishop Viganò could be punished

On 5 September, the Roman historian Roberto de Mattei warned that Pope Francis would not clean up after the revelations, but let heavy sanctions against Archbishop Viganò be tested. De Mattei asked, "Will Archbishop Viganò be punished for telling the truth?"

De Mattei wrote:

"Pope Francis is examining this possibility. If true, as confirmed by several sources, he has consulted Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio and several other Church lawyers to study possible canonical sanctions to be imposed on the Archbishop beginning with the suspension of a divinis.

If this news were correct, it would be extremely grave and a bit surreal, especially as the 'expert' called to punish Msgr. Viganò would have been Cardinal Coccopalmerio, who was accused by the former nuncio of being a part of the United States “gay lobby" that is at work in the Vatican.

It should not be forgotten that the Cardinal's secretary, Msgr. Luigi Capozzi, is involved in a case of homosexuality, in which the position of his superior has yet to be clarified. The real problem is of course another. The Catholic Church as a visible society has a criminal law because it has the right to punish the faithful who have violated their laws."

On October 10, the Canadian press agency LifeSiteNews revealed that in the "case of homosexuality" not only the secretary Capozzi, but Cardinal Coccopalmerio was personally involved.

“Silence is not a solution"

Famous Spanish columnist Francisco Fernandez de la Cigoña today indignantly raised the question:

"Can Coccopalmerio stay cardinal for another day?"

The revelations are either "compellingly denied, or a drug addict and practicing homosexual can no longer be Cardinal."

The Catholic publicist went even harder into court:

"Silence, which suddenly now seems to be pleasing to this pope, whose pontificate has so far been conspicuous, does not solve anything and does not give Francis much time when others of his charges are involved in even greater scandals and disgraceful impudence.

Above all, it would be painful if the pope, whose sympathies were obviously in many respects with the wrong persons, would distrust even the decent ones now. 

This afternoon, Cardinal Wuerl announced his retirement as Archbishop of Washington. He still remains cardinal and can thus participate in an upcoming conclave. However, the pontificate of Pope Francis loses important supports. McCarrick and Wuerl controlled another McCarrick pupil, Bishop Michael Brandsfield, a million-dollar foundation in the US that can be described as this Pope’s “private account".

Of the three, only Wuerl is left. McCarrick lost his dominating position with his cardinal dignity, his protégé, who was president of the foundation, had to be retired by Francis in mid-September. He was accused of sexual abuse in the Pennsylvania Report.

At the moment, some things are falling apart, and that could even be the pontificate of Pope Francis.

Progressive Cardinal Wuerl Resigns

Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the controversial archbishop of Washington DC..

Rome (kath.net) Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the Archbishop of Washington DC, Cardinal Donald Wuerl. This was announced by the Vatican. The 78-year-old was widely criticized for covering up abuse cases and cover-up allegations for weeks.

The Cardinal is one of the leading exponents for progressive causes in the world Church. We’d expect that the media will try to paint him as a conservative.

Of course, this also makes Viganò’s accusations look more credible. As CNS writes:

Now, Francis and Wuerl face a common denouncer in Archbishop Viganò. Some in Rome speculate that any move by Francis to replace or sideline Wuerl might have to be shelved, lest it look like a tacit concession to Viganò’s accusations. For the most part, Wuerl has been clear he does not intend to stand down, and that he wants to play an active part in the upcoming general session of the U.S. bishops’ conference in November, which is expected to deal almost exclusively with the fallout of the recent sexual abuse scandals.

Cardinal Present at “Drug Fueled” Orgy at CDF

(Rome) The pontificate of Pope Francis is currently being pursued from one scandal to the next. And all of them involve personal friends, confidants, prelates who are close to him, up to the princes of the Church.

According to the Canadian press service LifeSiteNews, Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, a close associate of Pope Francis, was present at a gay drug org, which was broken up by the Vatican police.

The apartment of Monsignor Capozzi

The case occurred in the summer of 2017. It became known then that the personal secretary of Cardinal Coccopalmerio, the priest Luigi Capozzi (49) was caught in a homosexual party with drug use. The Vatican gendarmerie was

searching for clues in an apartment in the Palazzo del Sant'Uffizio and burst in the middle of an aberrosexual drug orgy. The apartment was assigned to the secretary of the cardinal, which is why he was identified as the organizer of the orgy.

He supposedly had the apartment in the palace, which also houses the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, supposedly located because the palace is accessible to both the Vatican and Italy. It was, as it was then called, the ideal place to infiltrate unchecked drugs and hustlers.

Already at that time the question arose how a secretary, albeit of a cardinal, could come to possess such a large apartment in such a palace, which far exceeded his rank. According to the dossier of nuncio Carlo Maria Viganò, the gay lobby in the Vatican might have helped.

According to LifeSiteNews, not only his secretary Capozzi, but Cardinal Coccopalmerio was personally present at the aberrosexual drug orgy. Archbishop Viganò identifies him in his dossier as a member of the "gay lobby" in the Vatican.

The Cardinal's presence had been successfully hushed up so far. After all, Coccopalmerio was still the head of the Dicastery of the Roman Curia, which corresponds to the rank of minister. The Cardinal from Milan was President of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts until last April. As a lawyer, he knew that aberrosexual behavior is punishable by Church law. Apparently he felt invincible in his rank and in the Vatican. Not unjustifiably, one follows the revelation by LifeSiteNews.

The Vatican gendarmerie had caught the cardinal in the act of entering the apartment in a flash, but instructed him to leave the apartment immediately before they began making arrests. There was a protective hand over the Cardinal. Capozzi was arrested. The Vatican Police may be required to protect Cardinals from scandal. But they certainly report in detail.

Pope Francis, according to LifeSiteNews, was undoubtedly informed about the police action and the presence of Coccopalmerio.

Was he staying silent like with McCarrick?

Archbishop Viganò revealed in his dossier that he had informed Pope Francis in June 2013 in detail about the degenerate life of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. Francis did nothing but made McCarrick his confidant for the United States. He also became acquainted with the rapprochement between the Holy See and the People's Republic of China. On Sunday, Cardinal Marc Ouellet factually confirmed Viganò's allegations by writing in an open letter that the Pope had received many nuncios in June 2013, so he could not remember all the names and information.

Pope Provides for Predator Presence at Youth Synod

Edit: Considering that most cases involving predators involve degenerate clergy preying on minors of the same sex, is it wise to continue promoting the outdated but highly corrosive revolutionary sexual ideologies of the late 60s and the individuals, like Rosica, who are its fanatical proponents? 

If I were a Canadian parent, I wouldn’t want Rosica anywhere near my children, or anyone else’s children.

Two staff members of Thomas Rosica’s 'Salt + Light Media' are auditors of the Synod of Bishops who can attend meetings and speak out. Rosica is considered a proponent of liberalization of the Church teaching on homosexuality.

Vatican (kath.net/LSN/ju) Four employees of P. Thomas Rosica's "Salt + Light Media" are participating in the current synod. Two of them belong to the 50-member group of auditors. Canada's Catholic youth is thus represented exclusively by "Salt + Light Media" employees.

The auditors attend the synod meetings and are allowed to speak there. However, they have no voting rights. 34 of the 50 synod auditors are younger than thirty.

The two other employees of "Salt + Light Media" are collaborators of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops.

Rosica, himself a member of the Vatican Press Office, considered this circumstance to be "a strong sign of confirmation by the Pope" and recognition of the Church's mission of "Salt + Light".

Cardinal Marx Donates 50,000 Euros to Islamic Invasion Fleet

Munich (kath.net) The Munich Cardinal Reinhard Marx has donated 50,000 euros for the not uncontroversial private sea rescue by the German ship "Lifeline" in the Mediterranean. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the archdiocese, as the BR reports.

Numerous critics accuse the private rescuers that they are contributing to trafficking through these "rescue operations". According to the archdiocese, the money comes from means "available" to Marx. However, it is unclear whether Church  taxpayers' money will be used or Marx paid for it privately. His monthly income is according to the BILD newspaper 12.526 euros. Most recently, the Lifeline attempted to sail under the Vatican flag. This was rejected by the Vatican.

In his blog, the theologian David Berger sharply criticized Marx's donation: "With the donation of 50,000 euros to the NGO / Mediterranean ship Lifeline, Cardinal Marx from Munich is not only negligent in dealing with funds that do not belong to him, he also causes more dead refugees in the Mediterranean Sea and supports the Islamization of Europe, and those who continue to co-finance it are complicit.

Schick also spoke on German-church's favorite topic of celibacy and made it clear that in the context of priestly education one had to think about how celibacy could be better lived. He also wants celibacy to be part of the Church for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Schick could imagine, however, that there would be a dispensation for celibacy for proven men [Viri Probati is a Trojan horse if ever there was one.]. This would already be in place if, for example, a Protestant pastor became a Catholic priest.

It’s Christopher Columbus Day in USA — Celebrate

Now that four centuries have sped since a Ligurian first, under God's guidance, touched shores unknown beyond the Atlantic, the whole world is eager to celebrate the memory of the event, and glorify its author. Nor could a worthier reason be found where through zeal should be kindled. For the exploit is in itself the highest and grandest which any age has ever seen accomplished by man; and he who achieved it, for the greatness of his mind and heart, can be compared to but few in the history of humanity. By his toil another world emerged from the unsearched bosom of the ocean: hundreds of thousands of mortals have, from a state of blindness, been raised to the common level of the human race, reclaimed from savagery to gentleness and humanity; and, greatest of all, by the acquisition of those blessings of which Jesus Christ is the author, they have been recalled from destruction to eternal life. Europe, indeed, overpowered at the time by the novelty and strangeness of the discovery, presently came to recognize what was due to Columbus, when, through the numerous colonies shipped to America, through the constant intercourse and interchange of business and the ocean-trade, an incredible addition was made to our knowledge of nature, and to the commonwealth; whilst at the same time the prestige of the European name was marvelously increased. Therefore, amidst so lavish a display of honor, so unanimous a tribute of congratulations, it is fitting that the Church should not be altogether silent; since she, by custom and precedent, willingly approves and endeavors to forward whatsoever she see, and wherever she see it, that is honorable and praiseworthy. It is true she reserves her special and greatest honors for virtues that most signally proclaim a high morality, for these are directly associated with the salvation of souls; but she does not, therefore, despise or lightly estimate virtues of other kinds. On the contrary, she has ever highly favored and held in honor those who have deserved well of men in civil society, and have thus attained a lasting name among posterity. For God, indeed, is especially wonderful in his Saints—"mirabilis in Sanctis suis;" but the impress of His Divine virtue also appears in those who shine with excellent power of mind and spirit, since high intellect and greatness of spirit can be the property of men only through their parent and creator, God.

Cardinal Oullet Stabs Archbishop Vignanò in the Back — Still Confirms His Story

Edit: Cardinal Marx Ouellet confirms Archbishop Carlo Vignanò’s principle charge and accuses himself. His description of the pope as merciful doesn’t coincide with his treatment of faithful bishops, notably Bishop Livieres Plano  who called out the homosexual Redemptorist Archbishop Eustaquio Pastor Cuquejo Verga and earned himself a summary dismissal without a hearing. When he went to Rome, he found the Pope’s mercy in a door slammed in his face.

While it’s encouraging to see Ouellet confirm Vignanò’s primary contention about McCarrick’s impunity, it’s disappointing to see how poor his judgement is. It’s hard not to say that his (and the Pope’s) benign indifference towards McCarrick’s degeneracy, turning a blind eye to McCarrick’s  public and hypocritical witness as a very liberal Cardinal (no doubt as a payoff thanks to his support of the St. Galen Mafia and Bergoglio’s illegal connivance at the Papal throne), is criminally negligent. This is the kind of malfeasance and hypocrisy that the press and overfed false brethren at Patheos love to sink their teeth onto, while it’s the true witness of the Church’s moral teachings and legitimate authority that are blamed, as everyone, including those who should know better, cry “clericalism”.

“OPEN LETTER FROM THE PREFECT OF THE CONGREGATION FOR BISHOPS, CARDINAL MARC OUELLET, ON THE RECENT ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE HOLY SEE
Dear brother Carlo Maria Viganò,
In your last message to the press, in which you make accusations against Pope Francis and against the Roman Curia, you invite me to tell the truth about certain facts that you interpret as signs of an endemic corruption that has infiltrated the hierarchy of the Church up to its highest levels. With pontifical permission, and in my capacity as Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, I offer my testimony about matters concerning the Archbishop emeritus of Washington, Theodore McCarrick, and his presumed links to Pope Francis, matters that are at the center of your public accusations and your demand that the Holy Father resign. I write my testimony based on my personal contacts and on documents in the archives of the Congregation, currently the object of study to clarify this sad case.

Out of consideration for the good, collaborative relation we had when you were Apostolic Nuncio in Washington, allow me to say, in all honesty, that I find your current attitude incomprehensible and extremely troubling, not only because of the confusion it sows among the People of God, but because your public accusations gravely harm the reputation of the bishops, successors of the Apostles. I recall a time when I enjoyed your esteem and your trust, but now I see that I have been stripped in your eyes of the respect that was accorded to me, for the only reason I have remained faithful to the Holy Father’s guidance in exercising the service he has entrusted to me in the Church. Is not communion with the Successor of Peter an expression of our obedience to Christ who chose him and sustains him with his grace? My interpretation of Amoris Laetitia, which you criticize, is grounded in this fidelity to the living tradition, which Francis has given us another example of by recently modifying the Catechism of the Catholic Church on the question of the death penalty.
Let us address the facts. You said that on June 23, 2013, you provided Pope Francis with information about McCarrick in an audience he granted to you, as he also did for many pontifical representatives with whom he met for the first time that day. I can only imagine the amount of verbal and written information that was provided to the Holy Father on that occasion about so many persons and situations. I strongly doubt that the Pope had such interest in McCarrick, as you would like us to believe, given the fact that by then he was an 82-year-old Archbishop emeritus who had been without a role for seven years. Moreover, the written instructions given to you by the Congregation for Bishops at the beginning of your mission in 2001 did not say anything about McCarrick, except for what I mentioned to you verbally about his situation as Bishop emeritus and certain conditions and restrictions that he had to follow on account of some rumors about his past conduct.
