Sufi Rituals in Salzburg's Kollegiekirche

(Salzburg) on Sunday, 20 July, in the context of the Salzburg Festival, there is a  profanation of the famous Collegiate Church scheduled on the program.
One focus of the festival, the "Spiritual Ouverture" is in 2014 under the slogan "Christianity and Islam."  On Sunday, the appearance of the Sufi is to start at 9 O'clock of the Islamic Order of al-Gazoulia (al-Dschazuliya al-Husayniya al-Schadhiliya) from Cairo provided, who will perform  for the "his rites and ceremonies for the first time in a public space with us in the Collegiate Church,"  as the outgoing Festival Director Alexander Pereira thrilled to the Kleine Zeitung. "We are all incredibly excited" about the Sufi appearance. A Catholic church and the public space are obviously all the same for the Austrians Pereira. The "Ouverture Spiritual" is one of the inventions of director Pereira and is the prelude to the festival. After the 2012 Christianity and Buddhism in 2013, the focus in 2014 is on Islam.

Four Sufi Events WIth the  Slogan "Christianity and Islam"

Sufis from Egypt, result in Salzburg Kollegienkirche "rituals and ceremonies"
In all the  four points of the  program will be focused upon the slogan "Christianity and Islam."  in the Collegiate Church.  July 24, will begin with Sufi chants 1 after which the Sufi chants 2 will follow.  On the 22nd and 26th of July, a Sufi choir sings lyrics from Sufi mystic Mansur al-Hallag (858-922), by a commission by the Festival of Hossam Mahmoud  and set to music by Samir Odeh-Tamim.
"Religion is like a river that flows through many countries. Each country gives this river a different name and claims this possibly also for itself. Here, the flow is independent of the countries and springs also from one source,"  it reads according to the performances on the website of the Salzburg Festival . Even the obligatory reference is not missing, that  the offer of "dialogue"  [Inevitably as it always does] follows.

Sufi Rituals "About Mohammed Connected to the Divine Source of Knowledge"

"At the heart of their teaching, love stands as the only way to God, whose name Allah is composed of four Arabic letters", insist the organizers of the festival in their announcement. And further: "Each of their rituals, as it rises in  silence, with the invocation of his name, rising in singing and with the gradually interjecting oriental musical instruments to a music that serves to connect with the Divine. These rituals are led by the Master (Sheikh) of the respective order (tariqa), where the Sheikh is connected by a chain of narration from the Prophet Muhammad with the divine source of knowledge. The rituals, of which not one is like the other, mostly take place at memorials of a late Sufi master. "

Church Confused with "Public Space"

Salzburg's Creepy New Altar
The Sufi Order has  "spontaneously declared themselves immediately prepared," the rituals for the "first time" in order to  carry them out in a "public space". For the festival management a Catholic Church is obviously indistinct from a "public space" like a concert hall or the Grosses Festspielhaus.
The Kollegienkirche of Salzburg, consecrated in 1707, is not only a historical monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but is primarily and exclusively a Catholic church. As such, it was built by Prince Archbishop Johann Ernst von Thun-Hohenstein for the University  in 1622 and consecrated to the Holy Trinity. During the war the church was desecrated by Napoleonic troops and served the French occupation  as a stable and magazine. After the university was abolished in 1810 by Bavaria and re-consecrated under Austria, it found a new job as a garrison church. Since 1922,  it has been used as the venue for the Salzburg Festival.
With the re-establishment of the University in 1962, the Collegiate Church was again a University Church and in 2008 made a parish a personal parish established for the University. The baroque church, built by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach is considered, next to the cathedral, as one of the most important churches of Salzburg.
The Collegiate Church is the seat of the University Church Catholic Student Community. Recent renovation work completed after the orphaning of the high altar, being displaced,  and the establishment of a "people's altar"" in the nave underlined  the final loss of the importance of the presbytery. The new "community" gathers in a circle around the altar, while the presbytery, was reduced to a meaningless relic of past times in the church building.
The Catholic Church categorically rejects the   use of a church for the rites of other religions. Their enactment leads to the desecration of the church and requires its own rite of purification in order to be used  again for the Catholic liturgy.

Feminists Attack Cathedral of Bologna -- Protest Against Rejection of Estrela Report

(Bologna) A group of militant feminists profaned the Cathedral of San Petronio in Bologna this past Monday. Masked with hoods that recall  the extreme left-wing Russian Anarchists ( see separate report ),  abortion and aberrosexual activists protested against the rejection of the Estrela Report by the European Parliament. Before the altar, the Church opponents unfurled a banner reading: "You Occupy the Counseling Centers - We Fill the Churches" and shouted in chorus: "Get the Church Out of Our Ovaries."
The Estrela report, which  the abortion and aberrosexual ideologues wanted to anchor as an official EU Directive, was rejected on the 10th December by the plenary of the European Parliament by a narrow margin. With the Estrela Report, named after the Portuguese Socialist Edite Estrela, the killing of unborn children in the EU would have been signed as a "women's right". The report also wanted to force all the EU Member States to legalize the artificial insemination of lesbians. The Austrian Green MEP and avowed lesbian Ulrike Lunacek had advocated significantly  in the relevant equality committee for the measure. The MEP responded to the rejection of tts report with a hysterical attack, as representative Lunacek scolded: "With the vote of the European Parliament, it bows to the pressure of ultra-conservative and reactionary politicians and non-governmental organizations". The Estrela Report also wanted to restrict the right of conscientious objection by doctors, pharmacists and medical staff in connection with abortion, contraception and artificial insemination. (see the Estrela report and its rejection of the opinion by representative Ewald Stadler ) [Will finish later, perhaps].
The radical feminist group unloaded their protest by desecration of the Diocesan Cathedral Church of Bologna. It blames the Church for the rejection of the Estrela Report. The Archbishop of Bologna, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra had asked the MPs ahead of the vote in the European Parliament to vote no.
In a statement, the feminist church vandals state:
"We will not accept  these medieval politics and morality, this dirty mixing of political and religious power, which leads us back to the time of deaths due to illegal abortions.
We will NEVER return back [emphasis in original].
We demand that the conscientious objection reference is [Italian abortion law] prohibited on the law 194 for all advisory bodies and public institutions, because it represents gender, class and racial discrimination, and a violation of our rights to health and self-determination.
And if the Pope publicly declared that the Church must give space to  women, we take the opportunity to  just speak to the Madonna because she has also taken a Conscientious Objector on the way to Bethlehem.
Conscious abortion is a right of all women.
Nobody touches on our free sexuality!
And if the lifers, Catholics and Conscientious Objectors penetrate into the public hospitals and counseling centers, then we penetrate with our bodies, our desires and our self-determination into the churches! "
Claiming that a ban on abortion is misogynistic because women will die from illegal abortions conducted in back rooms is  part of the standard repertoire of the abortion lobby, which has long since been debunked as a propaganda lie. Recently, the militant attacks of fanatical supporters of abortion on Catholic churches accumulate. Signs of coarsening and increasing hostility to the church (see the reports of  Argentine Catholics protect Cathedral From Feminist Attack -    Pope Francis burned in effigy , as well as Pro-Abortionists  Violate the Cathedral of Santiago de Chile and Putin meets with Pope Francis - Church Enemies Desecrate Church in Rome "Until the Last Pope is Overthrown" )

Symbolic Demolition of a Church in the "Year of Faith"

(Paris) "The church was destroyed, as the terrible photo shows," said the Association Mémoire Vivante du patrimoine gestois (MVPG) that had been campaigning for the salvation of the Church. In France, the demolition of churches continues. After the church of Saint Jacques in Abbeville ( see separate report ), the church of Saint Pierre aux Liens Gesté was demolished in the western Anjou (Maine-et-Loire departments).

The renovation of the Church of Abbeville was too expensive. If the buildings are dilapidated, the mayor recently, called for the "deconstruction" as the "cheaper" means the termination. Or, as in the case of Gesté, to make a new building in place of the old church.

Gesté is located just six kilometers from the Brittany. On the 5th of February 1794, the place was burned down by the Colonnes Infernales , the "Hell Brigade" of the French Revolution. 300 Chouans, Royalist Catholics, were massacred. "The dead should be our duty to fight for our heritage," goes the call to protest against the demolition. The current church was built in 1800 and is now being demolished on the ruins of the church destroyed in 1794 and initially expanded in subsequent phases in the classical, then in neo-Gothic style.

The cost of the demolition amounts to 200,000 euros. The new church at one million euros. What for?, ask the critics and point to the waste of money and destruction of cultural heritage.

The Bishop of Angers rejects disapproval of the demolition action. The pastor responsible resides not in Gesté, but in the nearby town of Avrillé where the old Gothic church of Saint Gilles was replaced in 1983 by a modern elliptical construction.

And it Rome at St. Peter's Basilica:

Rome: A man climbed onto a ledge on the dome of St Peter's Basilica on Monday and unfurled a banner protesting against a "political horror show", an apparent reference to Italy's embattled coalition struggling with recession and high unemployment. Identified by police as Marcello Di Finizio, the man unfurled a white banner reading "Stop this massacre!

The political horror show is continuing," in English, scrawled in black and red ink, with "Help us Pope Francis" in Italian. He also waved an Italian flag as he balanced precariously above a small window near the top of the 137-metre dome.

Germany Picture of the Week, Butcher Block Altar!

Here's a picture of the week from the site of the SSPX German District. The deformation of the churches just doesn't seem to stop.

This is a wooden block with a hole in it which is supposed to be an altar, and a cross with a corpus which recalls a stick man. The Holy Ghost Chapel in the Elder Hostel in Wiesbaden has earned the rubric "Picture of the Week".
