Pornographer Monk Assigned to Jacob Wetterling's Home Town

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. By their fruits you shall know them." - St. Matthew 7: 15-16

Edit: while some Bishops are concerned with abuses of the Liturgy and holding hands, other Bishops and Abbots, are seeing to it that their parishes are stocked with unsuitable and evil men, as if they wanted to curse, rather than bless, the Faithful, even putting the women and children in serious moral and even physical danger.
His Work Looks Violent and Evil.

Going back to the very earliest days of the so-called Sexual Revolution to today, there has been what can only be described as a festering malignancy at a Modernist Monastery in Collegeville, Minnesota, where a decadent clergy is bitterly fighting to hide and continue living out its evil crimes. Patrick Marker, who operates the Pine Curtain site, which is devoted to exposing this evil, has released a letter sent on January 7th to 1,100 residents of a the town of St. Joseph, which has been overseen by the Benedictines of Collegeville for more than a century and a half.  It is also the home of the currently missing Jacob Wetterling.

Its current pastor, a man by the name of Father Jerome Tupa, is very much the kind of decadent pornographer, in fashion during this vulgar age.  He can be easily be compared to another such man whose works were proudly portrayed in Austria at St. Stephen's Cathedral, where Cardinal Schönborn exhibits the depraved works of a Communist named Hrdlicka, whose remains even desecrate the Cathedral cemetery, hang there to this day.  Some of Tupa's ourvre below, where he works in the medium of actual gold to represent the sexual organs in his eroticism:

Father Tupa enjoys a great deal of freedom and esteem today, and operates with impunity. In addition to being an "artist" whose distorted paintings reminiscent of madness and drug addiction has been turned loose on the small parish, in the home of the still missing Jacob Wetterling, despite being accused of being a sexual predator himself. As Pat Marker writes of a monk who suffered at Father Tupa's hands:

How different might Saint John’s had been if monks like Father Jerome Tupa left the monastery to pursue their own selfish pleasures and allowed individuals such as these two men, who were called to monastic life, remain! How many good men did Father Tupa drive from religious life?
The former monk himself writes:
“… my memories of those days are negative ones. There certainly seemed to be a great deal of ‘sexual’ tension and many of the monks seemed to have agendas aside from monastic brotherhood. As a young man and monk I ended up very confused about the whole experience. Upon leaving the monastery all those years ago I have never returned to the Catholic church. Although still a ‘believer’ I’ve just never gone back.”

Obama Praises Coach Who Covered for Sexual Predators

An Entire Career Protecting Evil Men
Edit: You can't expect Obama to do the right thing, but at least you'd think some Benedictines might know.

After years of protecting sexual predators and even piously bemoaning the fate of Joe Paterno, football's winningest defender of homosexual predators since the 50s goes into retirement.  After working for one of the most decadent, Old Liberal, and frankly disobedient Modernist Monasteries in the world. Here's a good summary of the details on Pine Curtain. He gets recognition from Obama as well and the anti-Catholic New York Times doesn't make a single mention of his refusal to do the right thing.
John Gagliardi, who won more games (489) and coached more seasons (64) than anyone in the history of college football, announced his retirement Monday, nine days after wrapping up his 60th season at Division III St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn.
Coach John Gagliardi of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., with some of the awards won by his teams and players. The 86-year-old Gagliardi, who had been one of two active head coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame, chose to retire after the Johnnies finished their first nonwinning season since 1986 at 5-5, and their first losing season in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play (3-5) since 1973.
“I’ve been thinking about it all through my 80s, so six or seven years now,” Gagliardi said Monday in a telephone interview. “I don’t know. I just decided that enough is enough.”
Despite all the fanfare, Josh Guimond is still missing since November 9th, 2002.

Dissidents Disparage Catholic Faith Despite Archbishop's Words

"Father" Bob Pierson at "Gay Prom"
Edit: There was a lot of controversy a few months ago when a Benedictine guest master at St. John's Abbey in Collegeville wanted to host a nude retreat with a strange nude guru who threatened to "touch" people.   The retreat was cancelled, but the man who made the retreat continues to be a priest in good standing with the Archdiocese and the Order of Saint Benedict headed by the Rock Abbot, Notker Wolf.

Fr. Pierson was born on December 29, 1955 and  graduated from St. John's University in 1978. He was ordained on 2, June 1984.

He's famous in the past for resigning from his campus ministry position at St. John's University when the Pope announced some increased standards for seminarians.  Homosexuals were to be excluded.  The ruling was later softened, but Fr. Bob Pierson insisted on sticking to his guns.

Last year, he even found time to attend a "gay prom".

Since then, he's been toted by the media barons, like the anti-Catholic Huffington Post, as a "Gay Priest" which prompted some stern words from the local ordinary, Archbishop Nienstedt.

Despite the fact that Fr. Pierson identifies himself alternatively as "Epsicopalian" on his Facebook, he is still in good standing.  Indeed, he approves of and has even posted an open letter to the Archbishop by a Lutheran Lay-Bishop.

Despite all of these antics, and many others that go on at St. John's, theAbbey website still describes him as a Catholic monk in good standing, to whom it falls the task of creating an inviting, welcoming and caring environment for visitors to the Monastery.  It's a pretty tall order for anyone to make that badly wreckovated place look inviting.  The poured concrete Abbey Church is a significant pile of brutal concrete, designed by Jewish architect Marcel Breuer. It looks nothing like a Catholic Church and actually more closely resembles a Buddhist temple.  Still, irony of ironies, Father Pierson is in good standing with the Catholic Church and many local people, albeit a shrinking number, have been fooled into believing that the Abbey, the monk, his very public and scandalous declarations, are Catholic.

Despite all of this, more recently, the Benedictine told the tale that he'd been advised by Archbishop John Nienstedt to stay out of his Archdiocese.  Despite what looks like a very stern warning, the errant priest and one of his cohorts, Father Mark Tegeder, continue to work with wheelchair organizations like CALGM   and CPCSM which have been unwelcome in the Archdiocese in the past.

They also continue to be very public in attacking the Archbishop's marriage amendment.  Indeed, despite repeated warnings, including a pointed e-mail to Father Mark Tegeder, the priest has continued to speak publicly, to the glee of the local anti-Catholic Star.

Last fall, Nienstedt told priests and deacons that he expected them to support the marriage amendment and that "there ought not be open dissension on this issue."
He had more specific instructions for the Rev. Mike Tegeder, priest at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Minneapolis who's been a rare internal, public critic of the church on this issue.
"If you choose not to offer your resignation, but continue to act openly or speak publicly about your opposition to Church teaching, I will suspend your faculties to exercise ministry and remove you from your ministerial assignments," Nienstedt wrote to Tegeder in a letter last November.
Asked why the archbishop hasn't removed Tegeder, given the priest's continued public criticism, spokesman Jim Accurso said the archdiocese doesn't comment on personnel matters. More generally, Accurso said, "we are not aware of a single incident where the conduct of an employee regarding the marriage amendment has raised the issue of discipline."
Nienstedt has declined Pioneer Press requests to be interviewed about the marriage question.
To Tegeder, Nienstedt's push is "putting things really out of kilter."
What threatens marriage most is a bad economy and divorce, he said. Trying to deny a small percentage of people with homosexual orientations the right to have committed relationships under law "seems to be cruel."
"That's the odd thing about Nienstedt's making a big issue out of this. There's a small percent of gay people, but what is it, 50 percent of marriages break down or something? Using the constitution to do what he says he's doing, defending marriage, it's like using a bazooka to kill a fly. You're going to get all kinds of collateral damage; you're not doing what you're trying to accomplish."

Another Collegeville Predator Pleads "Not Guilty" to Molestation

Minored in "Theology" at St. John's University
Edit: This story seems very fitting in light of the present accusations against Jimmy Saville and others in the entertainment industry.   Remember when Cory Feldman said that "pedophilia was Hollywood's #1 problem?".  Here's a little something to add some substance to that.

"I was surrounded by them, literally... They were everywhere like vultures."

An alumnus of the St. John's University, Mathew David Feeney, run by the Monastery of St. John's Abbey, according to Pine Curtain, was recently accused of sexually abusing two boys he promised would go to Hollywood in the capacity of his talent agency, Walden Entertainment.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) - A Minnesota talent agent accused of molesting two brothers who wanted to become actors was booked into jail early Tuesday, one day after a nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest. Matthew David Feeney, 43, turned himself in at the Washington County Jail at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday to be held on $200,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. on two felony charges of criminal sexual conduct -- one for engaging in sexual contact with a 9-year-old boy and a second for abusing a 15-year-old boy while in a position of authority.
The criminal complaint states that Feeney met the brothers through Walden Entertainment in Bloomington, where he is the owner and casting director who works to secure acting roles in movies and television.
Presently, the accused homosexual pederast has pled not guilty.   He was previously charged in Aitken County for sexual abuse. The complicity of  Sterns County law enforcement officials, allowed him to escape prosecution for 11 other possible cases and  his sentence down to a misdemeanor and he was turned him loose on probation to be a threat to others.

Modernist Monastery Provided A Nest For Alleged Serial Predator Over Decades

It's the New Springtime!

Edit:  here's still more insight into why the decadent monastery of St. John's Abbey won't support the Archbishop's Defense of Marriage campaign, or obey lawful authorities.  It's breathtaking that they can even continue to operate as they do with impunity.  The case of Roger Julkowski is like a horror story, and the very credible testimonies of certain victims implicate the winningest coach in football history of doing nothing while evil men did their work.

Having attended Catholic schools for most of his education, Roger Julkowski became an instructor in the Literature Department at St. John's University in the late sixties where he invited students, both male and female, to live with him in an "experimental" colony known as "The Farm".  Although he was reported by football coach Jim Gagliardi for allegedly molesting a student he was introducing the campus, Julkowski kept his property in the nearby Flynntown enclave of St. John's for the better part of the years we affectionately refer to as the New Springtime where he was able to molest and grope his way through many years of alcoholism and possible suicide when he finally died in 1993.

Despite Gagliardi's knowledge of this man's proclivities, he did nothing as the serial molester lurked around the campus in search of sexual liaisons with students, faculty or whomever.  Age wasn't an issue either.  He was active in fellow molester Msgr Dale Fushek's Teens Encounter Christ, movement, which provided him with easy access to one of his victims.

Ex-Monsignor Dale Fushek

Here's the account from the Pine Curtain, shocking for many different reasons, including the fact that it doesn't seem it will make it on any of the major news outlets, despite the gravity and obvious impunity with which the predator was able to take advantage of his presence in and around Collegeville, St. John's University and Abbey:

[Pine Curtain] As previously disclosed on this web site, Mr. Roger Julkowski is an alleged perpetrator of misconduct at Saint John’s. His name first appeared on this web site in 2007.
It wasn’t until Saint John’s University football coach John Gagliardi shared a story of misconduct, dating back several decades, that Julkowski was properly investigated.
Meet Roger Julkowski
Roger Stanley Julkowski graduated De La Salle High School in Minneapolis in 1956. He graduated from Saint John’s University in 1960 and received a masters degree from the University of Detroit in 1962.
Yearbooks confirm that Julkowski was a teacher at the University of Detroit during the1962-1963 and the 1963-1964 school years.
Saint John’s University
In 1964, Roger Julkowski joined the English department at Saint John’s University.
According to a family member, Julkowski’s father (a prominent lawyer and politician) loaned Julkowski the money to purchase a home in “Flynntown”, an area just beyond the Saint John’s University campus in Collegeville, Minnesota. [ View Map ]
Red Arrow Marks "The Farm",  Providing
Close Access to Students  -Tancred
Other faculty members, including John Gagliardi, also lived in Flynntown.
During the 1965-1966 school year, Julkowski was faculty advisor for the Sagatagan, SJU’s yearbook. Julkowski had taken over for Father Hugh Witzman, who held the position for only one year.
To the left is a photo of Julkowski from the 1966 SJU yearbook. He is listed as an English professor.
Departure from Saint John’s University
When and why Roger Julkowski left Collegeville in the mid-1960s is still unknown. According to one of the students who worked on the yearbook in 1966, Julkowski “left abruptly”.
Julkowski lived within walking distance to his job as an English professor and yearbook advisor.
Why would he leave?

Blair Witch Monastery in Collegeville

“We sit by and watch the Barbarian, we tolerate him; in the long stretches of peace we are not afraid. We are tickled by his irreverence, his comic inversion of our old certitudes and our fixed creeds refreshes us; we laugh. But as we laugh we are watched by large and awful faces from beyond: and on these faces there is no smile.” — Hilaire Belloc, This That and the Other (1912)

Edit:  The whole thing has an air of the Gnostic, legends of porcine craftsmen constructing dwellings, and of the lairs of fallen men who serve ancient and malevolent powers they fear but don't understand.  It's a tendency in public art to avoid representing anything, no battle, no spiritual triumph or even a mere scientific one, just a couple of disconnected inanimate objects whose purpose is to confuse you at best, at worst, lower your spiritual aspirations down to a purely material plane.

What do these rather amorphous and primitive structures have to do with Benedictine worship?   Perhaps a word from Catholic World Report's John Buescher can throw some light on these bizarre constructions, which reveal to our mind the gnostic associations of puritanism:
Nevertheless, there is a harder-edged answer to the question of the puppets’ purpose: If it is “Puritan,” why this explosion of celebratory paraphernalia in the puppets and costumes? It derives from the “apophatic” meaning of the puppets: as instruments in deconstructing traditional forms that stand between the individual and God. “Forms,” like “dogmas,” are, to the modern mind, idols, and must be taken down. The traditional form of the liturgy, thus, is the enemy of faith, and the puppets invade its sanctum, as agents of iconoclasm. In short, the puppets are intended as mockeries, speaking (mutely) truth to power (Silence = Death!), meant to pull down the temple in the name of the people, acting in the liberty of the free spirit. They are meant to unmask hypocrisy—regarded as the ancient tradition in its entirety.
Here's the article where it appeared from the above photo at 1240AM Radio:

COLLEGEVILLE – An unusual structure is going up this week at the entrance to St. John’s University.  Artist Patrick Dougherty is leading a project to build a series of five chapels made out of sticks, inspired by the campus.
He says he wants his artwork to be accessible to everyone.
Dougherty is spending a three week residency at the St. John’s Arboretum.  He says there are 10-15 people working on the sculpture each day.
Once it’s done, it will stand for about two years.
Dougherty works on about 10 of these types of projects each year all around the world

Surely, they're nuts at AM1240...

Vatican Punishes Priest and Critic of Saint Vincent Officials

Edit: it looks like a priest who has a Liberal agenda, who none the less has valid complaints against the administration, is being set up by an inept and probably criminal administration to be removed. St. Vincent's of Latrobe Pennsylvania is the mother house of the Modernist Monastery of St. John's at Collegeville.

The Abbot has two accusations of sexual abuse against him at present

August 16, 2012 - 3:00am
The long, disturbing tale of the Rev. Mark Gruber and Saint Vincent College has apparently come to an end, with a Vatican-imposed penalty barring the former faculty member from the priesthood in response to allegations -- disputed by his supporters and by civil authorities -- that he downloaded child pornography. Gruber, a longtime and widely respected monk and professor of anthropology at the Benedictine college in Pennsylvania, was one of the few campus officials who publicly criticized leaders there during a governance controversy in 2008, reportedly angering the then-president, James Towey, and the Right Rev. Douglas Nowicki, who headed the board of the Saint Vincent Archabbey.
The following fall, college officials barred him from the campus and reported him to local police, saying they had found child pornography on a computer in a common area outside his office. The charges were dropped after police concluded that no images on the computer had been of men under the age of 18, and that the computer was in a common area and many people had access to it. The following year, another Saint Vincent employee came forward and took responsibility for having downloaded the images.
Despite the lack of evidence of wrongdoing by Gruber, Saint Vincent officials continued to push for his ouster as a priest through the Vatican. In a statement Tuesday, the Saint Vincent Archabbey said the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith had found him guilty of "canonical crimes" of possession of child pornography, "production of materials which gravely injury good morals; abuse of the Sacrament of Confession (but not a violation of the sacramental seal); and defamation of a legitimate superior." It ordered him to live the rest of his life in prayer and penitence in a residence chosen by the Vatican, barred him from "exercising any public priestly ministry," and restricted him from any contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Archbishop Nienstedt Silences Modernist Benedictine?

Edit: Archbishop Nienstedt told the priests of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis to remain silent if they had any reservations about his extensive efforts to protect marriage by encouraging Catholics to vote "yes" on the Protect Marriage Amendment in early January of this year.  He was especially concerned with the Monastery Gone Wild.  We were watching one priest to see whether he'd remain silent.  He didn't disappoint.

Father Tegeder Needs Haircut
Mark N. Kartarik
This priest is one of the most vocal opponents of the Archbishop, the unteachable Father Mike Tegeder.   It was expected that he wouldn't be heard from in some quarters, but he managed to voice his dissenting opinions for the local art rag City Pages in June. He doesn't want Catholics to vote for the marriage amendment because, as Father Tegeder insists, defending marriage will lead to homosexuals being bullied.  We e-mailed the Archdiocese and have heard nothing back from them at this point as to what, if anything, they've done with this destructive priest.  Although he hasn't been heard from since then, it would be encouraging if he were laicized and sent packing without any benefits like a lot of traditionalist priests were treated throughout the years.

Meanwhile, in central Minnesota at the Modernist Benedictine Monastery in Collegeville, which houses  a cast of free range sexual predators and other deviants, the infamous Father Bob Pierson feels free to speak his mind.  But something has apparently been done with regard to the habitual dissident.  He has been silenced, he claims.

He is currently the Guest Master at St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota and attempted to host a gay naked retreat with guru.  It was cancelled.

Father Pierson, in addition to his penchant for nude gurus, has a Facebook relationship with another dissident silenced by the Archdiocese, Lucinda Naylor, who was terminated as "artist" in residence at the Basilica of St. Mary's in downtown Minneapolis by Archbishop Nienstedt's direct intervention and attempted to create a piece of modern sculpture out of DVDs of the Archbishop's talk, defending marriage.   Miss Naylor asked the Modernist Monk about his situation, and he wrote about how the Archbishop responded to his public statement as part of the decrepit CALGM:

Dear Lucinda: That sounds great! Thanks for your words of support. Yesterday I finally heard from Archbishop Nienstedt. “He is not amused.” In fact, I no longer have permission to minister anywhere in the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis. Abbot John is supportive of me, but wants me to avoid any more public talks. The amount of negative publicity has been over-whelming. These rightwing Catholics are a really vicious bunch of people. Anyway, in August I am free on August 7, 14, 15, 28, 29,& 30. I hope one of those dates works with Dale’s calendar. He and I have met briefly before, but it will be good to visit over dinner, and wonderful to be with you and Maura as well. THANKS for the invitation. Blessings!

Father Pierson is positively livid and has some choice words of his own to describe those who take issue with his habitude disobedience.

So far nothing has surprised me except for the vehemence of some very nasty “right wing nuts” as I like to call them. Very unchristian in their words. I am around all of October, though I do have commitments from October 4 to 7 and again on the weekend of October 19-21. Blessings!

Unfortunately, Collegeville is still what it is.  Moreover, they will not support the Archbishops' effort to defend marriage and seem more eager to thwart it and treat him with disrespect for simply doing his job.

Hermitage for Heresy in Collegeville

Edit: How is this not religious indifferentism? An alleged monk from Collegeville is going on a hermitage to look for new ways to violate the Catholic religion. This is from their website at St. John's Abbey.
The Nada Hermitages of the Spiritual Life Institute (the name of the Carmelite complex) thus became my base of operations as I visited most of the twenty-two religious and spiritual organizations and networks that are now part of the "Refuge for World Truths" in this area outside Crestone. Several lineages of Tibetan Buddhists, two Zen Buddhist centers, a Hindu ashram, a Neo-Shinto international Japanese organization, in addition to the Carmelite hermitages, are a few of the representative groups now in place. Nada was one of the religious organizations that had been offered land to build a retreat center here. A visionary couple who bought up an old Spanish land grant in the region decided, on the basis of prophetic inspiration, to offer free tracts of land to diverse religious and spiritual groups to settle in this restricted geographical area. Their hope was that this collection of spiritual diversity would promote the notion, so sorely needed in our day and age, that peoples with very different systems of belief and practice could live and thrive in harmony together.

He's actually attempting to justify his "hermitage" by essentially vitiating and contradicting one of the principles of the Catholic religion. It's certainly uppermost in the life of a Monk. Rather than converting the heathen, he's attempting to "discover ways to live in harmony" with the heathen.

Isn't that sort of pointless? When was the last time there was any kind of tension between Catholics and Buddhists? Except when the Buddhists murdered Jesuits in Tibet, I can't think of any, at least not recently. Catholic Encyclopedia defines indifferentism like this:
The term given, in general, to all those theories, which, for one reason or another, deny that it is the duty of man to worship God by believing and practicing the one true religion. This religious Indifferentism is to be distinguished from political indifferentism, which is applied to the policy of a state that treats all the religions within its borders as being on an equal footing before the law of the country. Indifferentism is not to be confounded with religious indifference. The former is primarily a theory disparaging the value of religion; the latter term designates the conduct of those who, whether they do or do not believe in the necessity and utility of religion, do in fact neglect to fulfil its duties.

Modernist Monastery Perpetuates its Rank Evil

Father Mel Taylor
Edit some may recall when Father Taylor, an Irish born monk from the Modernist Monastery,  was accused of misconduct back in the 80s. Here is another, somewhat more dramatic response.

The Modernist Monastery has a long history itself of deception.  They present themselves as Benedictines, acting with the approval of the Pope. Despite this, they have refused to support the Archbishop's recent defense of marriage campaign as reported by Lifesite.

A show of docility and obedience to their lawful superiors would go against the agenda of disobedience and depravity they've long established for themselves.

An important dimension of their plan of deception is sending predators to the Bahamas where they can lay low. One of Collegeville's most vicious molesters is Father Alllen Tarlton, who's actually a native of the Bahamas and has been sent there since the 60s for "health reasons".

Father Taylor is one of the last monks to be sent to St. John's Bahamas resort getaway now that it's closing forever.

  From the Pine Curtain:

Father Mel Taylor reportedly left the Bahamas on Monday, June 4, 2012, a day after he was confronted during mass by a young man who claimed Father Mel Taylor had pursued him (for a sexual relationship) over a year and a half period. The man used the church’s microphone after communion to make the accusations.

Father Mel Taylor was not scheduled to leave the Bahamas until June 24, 2012 but reportedly left early “for health reasons.”

Father Mel Taylor arrived in the Bahamas in 1980, following allegations of misconduct in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Father Mel Taylor served as associate pastor of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Nassau, Bahamas for one year.

The Walls are Closing in on the Golden Monk

This and other revelations from the Modernist Monastery bring the seething and indignant letter by Collegeville's artist in residence, Jerome Tupa, who features statues with phalluses made of gold, who accused the Pine Curtain and the school newspaper of slander.

His remarks actually prompted a former student to write a letter which appears on the Pine Curtain.
I’m very disgusted by the whole thing, especially given that we just went through this recently and we were assured that the place was fixed and in good hands. It is even more disturbing to read of monks who are indignant at people writing articles that try to bring the info out in the open. If I were a monk at St. John’s, I would not be bragging about how long I have been on campus, apparently blind to the … abuse going on under your nose. Try eating a piece of humble pie before getting people fired from their jobs at the Record.
Unsurprisingly, Jerome Tupa has been accused credibly of sexual abuse, but is being moved around. When they're caught, they respond and say they're sorry, and then go back to doing what they were doing before with a few modifications. They're still being moved around and protected. What's the common factor in all of this?

Allegations of Police Corruption at Benedictine University

Edit: there's more going on at Collegeville lately.   A University employee has admitted to a criminal act, but the local law enforcement officials refuse to investigate any further.  Meanwhile, the target of a threat lives in fear for their safety.

This event gives some further credence to claims that County officials were deliberately incompetent in their investigation of the disappearance of Josh Guimond in 2002.

What's happening can only be described as Kafkaesque.

Gagliadi Only Sees Evil Abroad

[Eponymous Flower]  Collegeville is a small town which includes the decadent Old Liberal Monastery of St. John's Abbey and has a population of approximately 3,000.

Some may recall that football's most winning football coach, John Gagliardi, had hypocritically commented on the Sandusky scandal, ignoring the substantially more significant problem in his own back yard.

Despite admitting that he himself has had knowledge about predatory Monks at the Modernist Abbey of St. John's Abbey in Collegeville Minnesota, he did not know “if there was enough punishment in the world for a guy like that" when it came to a softball interview for the national news at the St. Cloud Times.

It's easy to be brave at times like that. Yet this was his statement in view of Penn State's Jerry Sandusky, who was accused of 50 allegations of sexual misconduct.

Gagliardi has been in close proximity to over 16 credibly accused homosexual perpetrators who preyed on students for as long as he's been coaching at St. John's. As the Pine Curtain notes, they taught at the schools where Gagliardi's children were schooled, and one of them even drove the bus for Gagliardi's football team. Impossible not to know, and what if they'd molested one of his children? There is no comment.

Perhaps some level (a very feeble level), of professional loyalty is in play here, as we pointed out before. Surely, Gagliaridi has a certain responsibility to his employer St. John's University, but at what point does the institution to which you belong become so morally compromised, dishonest and corrupt that it tarnishes your reputation as well?

SJU Employee Terrorizes Alum

It's easy to make brave statements about how "shocked" you are at sexual abuse when someone else is at fault, it's almost as easy as making criminal and terroristic threats on Facebook, and almost as easy as getting away with it because your grand father is the football coach.

Normally, such transgressions would result in termination from a job, some jail time and possibly community service, but this is St. John's Abbey of Modernism we're talking about here.

Corruption in Local Law Enforcement?

In any cease, such observations were likely to arouse profound anger and hatred on the part of Gagliardi's family members. Recently, John Gagliardi's grandson, Johnny Gagliardi, admitted to making a threat on the Facebook page of a person who had made a point of posting about John Gagliardi's possible complicity in the sexual abuse at St. John's Abbey and University. Despite the fact that the target was concerned for their safety during a visit to the campus where the perpetrator worked in "Life Services", local law enforcement and the prosecutor have decided not to investigate the case. Pine Curtain writes:

On February 3, 2012, however, Stearns County Sheriff’s Department Captain Pam Jensen called the target to report that her office had decided to close the matter. Remarkably, she told the target that the suspect was still “angry.” [Incredibly, implying that the target is actually at fault]

On February 3, 2012, the target of the threat sent an email to Stearns County Sheriff’s Department Captain Pam Jensen, cc’ing Stearns County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Jon Lentz, Stearns County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Danial Winkels, and Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall.

The target explained that he felt the threat was real and that the suspect’s “reference to ‘what is coming’ is worrisome, given his and his family’s influence and connections.” He wrote, “it is important that my (and my family’s safety never be in question, whether in my own home and community or on future visits to my alma-mater. That is not currently the case.”
[Note: Less than a month earlier, a member of the suspect's family was made aware that the target was planning to visit the area in early February.]

If the local authorities have dismissed any further investigation into the case, it is very likely the result of a conflict of interest. The Pine Curtain Writes:

The February 3, 2012 request for an independent prosecutor was denied. This request was made because:

1) Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall’s children attend Saint John’s Preparatory School.

2) Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall’s husband, John Kendall, is currently listed as a faculty member at Saint John’s University.

Collegeville: Gomorrist Retreat Allegedly Cancelled But the Disease Remains

Edit: Just received a message from one of the readers. It looks like "Father Guestmaster" has announced that the retreat is cancelled. This is a good time for an analogy.  Sometimes you can apply topical ointment to a festering patch of skin, or give pain killers, but those things won't necessarily address the underlying condition.

Also read the article on the Pine Curtain and he says that the Monastery still hasn't taken down its advert on its "guesthouse" page.

The modernist monastery has not yet taken down the offending pages and the presenter of the retreat still has the affair up on his site, here.

At the present, the offending entry can still be seen here.  Yet it's entirely possible, considering the track record of the institution, that they'll have the retreat anyway.

This is too little too late, as they've been doing this sort of thing for years.

Thanks to 'Rorate Caeli 'for getting the word out in an unambiguous and sensible way, and anyone else who was angered enough by this travesty to help spread the word about this place which is sorely in need of an exorcism, or an interdict.

Alleged Predator Subprior of Monastery Retreats to Homosexual Haven

Edit: Is it true that Liturgical abuse is worse than the homosexual sexual abuse of minors? It's more often than not the case that a homosexual predator is also a dissident from Catholic teachings and commits sacrileges against the sacred things of the Catholic Church.
Rebel Nuns Playing Priestess

This was reported by Pine Curtain.

Well, the Subprior of St. John's Monastery in Collegeville is retreating to a place that doesn't agree with the Church's teachings on homosexuality, divorce or women priests.

Brother Paul Richards has been a singular presence at St. John's in Collegeville for over 20 years.since 1979.  He has an extensive back ground in music, training students in voice.  In 2007, he stepped down as director of the choir in 2007 and is now the Subprior, desipte a recent accusation.

This accusation, the substance of which is unclear,  has caused him to be put on leave, but the Abbey website still identifies him as Subprior on their website  Obviously, that doesn't prevent a credibly accused monk from continuing to represent the Catholic Church as Father Francisco Schulte does, or from travelling abroad without any supervision at all.  Monks who have been credibly accused are allegedly put on "restriction" but it appears that this is only related to certain areas of the University Campus and the athletic facilities.  This restriction doesn't prevent them from misrepresenting Catholic teachings, committing Liturgical abuses or traveling to Chicago, for example.

The Abbey does enough to cover itself legally and life goes on for the alleged predators much as before.

If they appear unconcerned about homosexual monks potential for future crimes against the students at Collegeville, they are even less concerned about doctrinal and Liturgical violations.

Brother Paul Richards claims that he needs to find himself, and to have a break, so he's going to a fake Monastery called Holy Wisdom, where those who disagree with the Church's teachings on sexual morality and authority can feel at home.   He joins there the former President of the heretical University of Collegeville, Father Koopman, also a musical educator.

DetractorsSyte Reitz, a member of Madison’s Cathedral Parish who blogs about Catholic issues, said disaffected Catholics are free to start their own churches, but they shouldn’t confuse people by suggesting they still are faithful Catholics.
“Does it matter whether they are errant Catholics or not Catholics?” asks Reitz. “No matter what we label them, the laws of right and wrong and of morality still stand, and they and others will suffer from the mistakes that they make.”
Reitz said because a male priest is not presiding over the Eucharist, the bread is not being turned into the body of Christ, thus depriving attendees of the Catholic Church’s central sacrament.

Football Coach Consents to Abuse of Students by His Silence

Edit:    Football coaches are notorious for being out of touch with the day's popular culture trends and the hip new sensitivities of the students.  It's often the grist for wacky comedies, but John Gagliardi, football's most winning coach for Mondernist Abby's "University",  has maintained silence in the face of years of betrayal, and that isn't so funny.  Some of the most winning  coaches have been notorious for getting "out of hand" with the physical discipline of their players.  Bobby Knight comes to mind.  Our society tends to punish men acting the way men have acted in ages past.  Nothing Bobby Knight ever did comes close to the crimes committed by other educators.

Then there are coaches who allegedly commit sins of omission and participate in the crimes of their employers and silence implies consent.  John Gagliardi, head coach of St. John's University Football Team, doesn't have a problem with the denial, the stonewalling and cynical demeanor of the Abbey and its "monks".  This is what happens when, being aware of something sinister going on, nothing is done by the knower.

It is perfectly understandable that John Gagliardi, one of the most winning coaches in the history of the sport of football, wants to put the accusations of sexual abuse at the Monastery of St. John's Abbey behind him, and disavow any connection, as he laments Joe Paterno's death, but he can't, because the truth is that he consents to the crimes committed , there, but football, if not confession, covers a multitude of sins.

Despite being well aware of the predations of homosexual monks at Collegeville, Gagliardi has remained silent and downplayed the obvious problem at the heart of his school by his silence and his recent public statements  It doesn't matter as long as you're winning games.  Actually, Gagliardi's relationship with Collegeville goes a long way to explain why the monks who reside there, and continue to undermine the Church's teachings, are allowed to get away with what they do.

Too many people who are aware, remain silent and even accuse those who've made accusations of being "liars", as Pat Marker describes the response from an interview with a Gagliardi family member's idea of the numerous and credible accusations against homosexual predators.  When Marker asked this individual about Father Allen Tarleton's self-admitted molestation of his minor students, he/she said, "ohhh yessss".

Pat Marker at Pine Curtain recently took umbrage against Gagliardi's soft-peddling and indifference to what is really a cancerous and deplorable situation, in an interview with the Philly Inquirer.  Marker's asking, so you're a great coach, but where's the moral backbone, where's the integrity?

Gagliardi has the gall to claim he had no connections with the events happening at Collegeville, but didn't do anything when it happened.  When you're the winningest coach in football, why not resign and coach somewhere else?  Why continue to support an institution which has persistently violated its obligations to represent the Catholic Faith and protect the purity of its students?

Gagliardi was well aware of the situation when he allegedly warned Abbot Jerome Theisen in the eighties to "keep his monks away from my players" in an unconfirmed story.   If he were aware,  this is plainly what they call a, "sin of omission".  According to Catholic Encyclopedia:

"Omission" is here taken to be the failure to do something one can and ought to do. If this happens advertently and freely a sin is committed. Moralists took pains formerly to show that the inaction implied in an omission was quite compatible with a breach of the moral law, for it is not merely because a person here and now does nothing that he offends, but because he neglects to act under circumstances in which he can and ought to act. The degree of guilt incurred by an omission is measured like that attaching to sins of commission, by the dignity of the virtue and the magnitude of the precept to which the omission is opposed as well as the amount of deliberation.

We're convinced Gagliardi is well informed of the situation.  Despite the evidence and the credible accusations, he remains silent.

He was silent when the still missing Josh Guimond disappeared in 2002.

So much for a great resume.  If you have no integrity, what good is it?

Ex-Monk's Signed Statement Throws Modernist Monastery in a Darker Light

Edit:

This signed statement below is from a former monk, Bede Perry, who has left the Catholic Church after being rejected from a Catholic Monastery in California for being the perpetrator of several cases of sexual abuse over a long period of time. We just got it in the e-mail from Pine Curtain.

First of all, it's pretty damning that a man of his bonafides having a track record of admitted sexual abuse, was permitted to continue through his studies and get ordained as a Catholic priest. It needs to be pointed out that many priests and seminarians have been dismissed, suspended or reprimanded for simply exhibiting a seriousness about doctrine, or even a preference for the Immemorial Mass. Rest assured, had Bede Perry been an orthodox monk with a preference for the Latin Liturgy, he would have been dismissed not only from St. John's program, but from the religious life itself. This is one more glaring example of how the leadership of this Monastery has an animus delendi against the Church and seems bent on turning weasels loose in the chicken coop as it were. You can read about it in Micheal Rose's critically acclaimed book, Good Bye, Good Men.

There are some very interesting features to this statement by former monk and lapsed Catholic, Bede Perry. The first one is that it verifies that he describes that all-too-familiar sly indifference in the homosexual super-culture at St. John's Abbey, which might go unnoticed if you were, say, an elderly but wealthy donor who went to school there during a time when this was less extant or kept more hidden. The second is that it buttresses many of the claims against the Abbey simultaneously. It shows a laughable indifference to canon law and the norms regarding the ordination of priests and discipline of monks. The third, and somewhat incomprehensible feature is that Bede Perry felt compelled to leave the Catholic Church after another Benedictine Abbey, Prince of Peace, refused him as a member because of what they believed was his tendency to abuse minors.

Although his being refused entry into the Monastery and his departure from the Catholic Church in 2002 do not appear to be related, it's hard not to suggest a connection. So, as far as it looks, Bede Perry, a sexual predator with a propensity to abuse minors, is working for the Episcopalians now.

Yet it must also be said that, despite the single apparent inconsistency in this story, Bede Perry has done a great service to those who understand that there's something terribly wrong going on at the Modernist Monastery. It's been our constant insistence that the reason there are such problems in the first place is largely due to the fact that the Monastery is modernist. It falls short consistently with respect to canon law, moral law and even the positive divine law, or Ten Commandments.

While attending the School of Theology, I lived with the other monks at Saint John’s. There was an awareness of my misconduct among the other monks. In addition to Fr. Roman Paur and Fr. Finian McDonald, Fr. Rene McGraw also knew details of my misconduct. I recall that other monks commented or joked about my misconduct in a light-hearted, but nonetheless inappropriate, manner.

I completed the School of Theology program in 1982 and returned to Conception Abbey that summer. I was ordained on April 16, 1983. Abbot Jerome Hanus reminded me at the time of my ordination that I would need to be “especially observant” of my vow of celibacy.

In the summer of 1987, Conception Abbey hosted a choir camp. I had been involved with the Abbey Boy Choir as organist, director, or both, for several years. During the camp, I had inappropriate sexual contact in my living quarters with [John Doe 181], a member of the Abbey Boy Choir.

Collegeville Modernist Meets with Soho Dissidents, Accuses Rome of Lying

Soho is Part of Greenwich

"Our system is not set up to tell the truth. It is not possible for those doing the work to say to those in charge 'this isn't working,'" -Father Anthony Ruff OSB

Edit: Father Ruff is the administrator of the haughty little "Pray, Tell" blog where people can go and commiserate the decline and inevitable fall of the Liturgical Renewal and new man-centered theology. "Rome" can be heard, almost audibly, saying, "you're accusing us of lying and bad faith?"

We've heard earlier this week about how Collegeville is cutting its ties with its lay run University. When are they going to admit they have nothing in common with Rome? They've already got an Episcopal Prayer Center where they host syncretistic gatherings. Why not admit the obvious and have some integrity? We also ask those at St. John's, where is Josh Guimond?

This current issue reported by the National Catholic Register is about a conference held in the trendy Greenwich Village, Episcopalian church of all places. This is simply another case of an effeminate Old Liberal Liturgist, bemoaning the fact that things aren't going the way of his narcissistic, progressive and increasingly unfashionable Marxist, disobedient, viewpoint, but it also serves to illustrate what we've been saying about St. John's Abbey at Collegeville forever.

If anyone had any doubts about the quality of this byproduct of the Liturgical Renewal up until this point, and the entire process surrounding ICEL, the fact that he spoke at a Call to Action conference, attacking the renovation of the English translation of the Missal, and the people who pay for his upkeep, should remove all doubt. He even goes so far as to tell us his true political allegiances, which are at least associated with Marxism which is merited by his self-description as a fellow traveler and disordered preoccupation with structural "injustice":

"I would love to belong to a community that was working for the transformation of unjust structures in church and society as well as offering direct outreach to the victims of oppression," he said. "But this fantasy religious community would also pray the entire office in Latin chant. So, I'm not sure I'm going to find many fellow travelers.[Emphasis ours]"

If he wants a posh liturgy with Latin chant and a trendy political ideology that wants to worry about "structure" and "superstructure" instead of one's own imperfections and unworthiness before the Godhead, he could become an Anglican. Assuming that he shares CTA's views, he could even concelebrate "Mass" with Bishopess Regina.

His apparent turn to the left aside, that First Things would have anything to do with Modernist Collegeville in the first place raises at least one eyebrow, but now we know about the "Pray, Tell" blog, or should know by now if you didn't before, that it's another byproduct of the disease which ails us in the Post-Conciliar malaise.

Take a look at the comments section and see the complaints about how Rome can't be trusted and so forth. The usual concerns by grey-haired denizens of sixty-eight about how Rome "can't tell the truth". As Father Ruff laments:

"Our system is not set up to tell the truth. It is not possible for those doing the work to say to those in charge 'this isn't working,'"

What's not working is the mentality of a man-centered theological and Liturgical course of the last twenty years. Father Ruff has been working like a termite throughout his career as a Liturgist, undermining and gnawing a way. But now he mercifully admits that he no longer believes. In what, we ask.

[National Catholic Reporter] The last time Father Anthony Ruff, OSB, came to New York, he was visiting with an editor from First Things, a theologically and politically conservative journal founded by the late Richard John Neuhaus, six years ago.

Ruff recently returned to Manhattan to offer the first presentation sponsored by the newly formed New York City chapter of Call to Action. Since CTA groups are rarely allowed to meet on Roman Catholic property, Ruff gave the lecture in the common room of an Episcopal Church in Greenwich Village.

This radical change of scene isn't the only transformation that has marked Ruff's life in the last six years.

Gomorrist Bible Presented on Today Show

Ugly as Sin

Edit: This just came in from Pine Curtain. Although Father Koopman of St. John's Abbey was supposed to have been interviewed, he was not. Instead they interviewed the Atheist craftsman they hired to decorate the book with authentic materials. They are certainly scaling back their visibility.

The press about the Bible falsely indicates that the St. John's Bible is the first such project in over five hundred years. On the contrary, there have been illustrated Bibles since then, going all the way up to the present day, long before St. John's got the idea to outsource their scriptorium work to an Atheist calligrapher using a poor translation of the Bible. The New Standard Revised Version of the Bible is, like Collegeville's insistence that it is a Catholic institution in good standing, rather dubious.

Here's an example from Luke 1:28

And he came to her and said, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."

This poor translation partakes of the mendacious theology of Martin Luther and undermines the dogma of Mary's sinlessness. Luther feels, like the Old Liberal Bishop Donald Trautman, that the German will be confused by the correct translation and think of a "beer cask". It should read:

"Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with thee.

This is but one example where the NRSV falls short, but there are many, many more.

Not to be completely uncontroversial, Morning News was able to reveal the face of one of the perpetrators, Brother Jim Phillips, appears in the video.

Another Accusation Against Father Dan Ward at Collegeville

Fr. Dan Ward

Edit: What lies are there which continue to be revealed as the Modernist Monastery's decaying and dying structures spread their contagion.  Monks who do not believe or practice the Church's teachings on sexual morality and personal conduct are protected and continue their collective task as agents of demoralization?

In the battle against what we call Cultural Marxism there are almost no active or coordinated opponents of this that we know of, although it's much discussed. All of the combatants are isolated from one another, linked by a common experience or an understanding of Cultural Marxism and its effects.  Cultural Marxism is dangerous because it teaches that there are no personal sins, only collective ones and it stands by it central dogma that "there is no such thing as objectivity or truth".  The term is better understood by its links especially to the Frankfurt School and Modern Psychoanalysis. But despite all of the evidence and warnings around and about, there is practically no response from the churches, indeed, they are often proponents of Cultural Marxism. While  Pope Benedict will decry the "Dictatorship of Relativism" there are all too few religious leaders in the Catholic Church who take him seriously; a diabolical delusion has certainly taken hold. An individual who finds himself confronted by its various manifestations doesn't know where to turn; he can seek legal aid, but it's an uphill battle, because one of the hallmarks of this social disease is that it's extremely difficult to make a coherent defense against it, because many people won't accept reasoned defenses, so far have its inroads been made into education where the values of truth and honor have been replaced by Social Justice and uncritical "tolerance". Some even  turn to their churches for counsel against this ideology, but in many cases, their church has long ago succumbed, and the Cultural Marxist will have been long in place, spreading the spiritual and intellectual torpor and demoralizing the society at large.

In this particular case, we have a Modernist Monastery -- whose legal counsel is a credibly accused predator, Father Dan Ward -- which is a widely trusted institution,  thought to be forthright in its mission, but we discover not only that they are false, but when questioned about unjust and plainly immoral behavior, they will  dismiss and deflect the concerns.  Some victims have even  found themselves being threatened.  All of this has happened at Collegeville. Their very profession as religious is itself a walking contradiction where they are permitted and frequently  promote homosexuality, sexual depravity and Social Justice in the name of the Catholic Religion and their profession as Benedictine Monks.

This philosophical attack, classically represented by Collegeville's monastics, has been with us for a long time. For Modernism has been a problem in the Catholic Church dating long before its actual condemnation by St. Pius X in his encyclical Lamaentabili Sane. Despite this condemnation and the perpetual condemnation of the Church for the false doctrines promoted at Collegeville. Modernism and its manifestations in the aforementioned Liberal schools of thought, has as their roots, the continental philosophical, humanist tradition expressed by Empiricist, Nominalist and Atheist thinkers of the last three Centuries.

Those seedlings which have shot up from fragile seeds of error have chocked out the furrows of a once plentiful field and turned them into an overgrown wasteland, increasingly remote to the principles which guided the organization in the first place.

St. John's has numerous complaints against it, including against its leadership, notably Abbot Eidenschenk who would interview his novices in the nude. These accusations stretch back decades but most have taken place in the eighties and indicate that from the top down, there was a culture of homosexual depravity to also include also Abbot Timothy Kelly who was himself responsible for disciplining these individuals and seems to have looked the other way because he too was as corrupt as the men being accused.  It's also a matter of fact that someone in administration was tampering with the personal files of the various accused.

St. John's attorney, Father Dan Ward, has also been substantially accused of being a homosexual predator. When one of his victims approached the Abbot, Jerome, he was told to "grow up".

This account will be familiar to some. Many left-leaning, homosexual clergy have talked about the importance of "being sexually mature".

It is interesting to note that Father Dan Ward was the man responsible for stage handling the mostly ineffective and now defunct Institute for Sexual Trauma [Interfaith is always a bad sign.  There's only one true Faith.] which was apparently set up for the fox to watch the chickens.  His other activities, when he's not betraying the Catholic Faith, include helping women religious avoid living their lives in a legitimate fashion as director of the Resource Center for Religious Institutes..  This article is from Catholic Culture entitled, "In Denial".

Here's the most recent report about Father Dan Ward's alleged sexual activities from the Pine Curtain:
Fr. Dan Ward believed that a well-rounded and mature monastic needed to have an open-minded view of sexuality. The conversation started to become more physical as he began to be aroused by the topic.[Sounds familiar]

I rejected his advances and strong sexual initiatives.

I immediately left his room and went and got sick.

The next morning I went to see XXXXXX and told him of the incident. His response simply was to get over it that Father Ward has great power … [He does actually.  He runs a well-endowed non-profit]  and if I wish to continue being a monastic I would just have to accept his behavior.

I spoke to XXXXXX privately about the encounter. He told me it was a confessional issue and I needed to grow up and deal with my sexuality.

[Webmaster's Note: This is an excerpt from the fourth statement received from a victim of Dan Ward's misconduct. Excerpts from the first three statements are available here.]
Note that the complaining monk's counselor didn't deny that Father Ward is what he is, but that you just have to live with it.

Pine Curtain, here.

We Still Remember

Josh Guimond, 20, left a small card party at friend Nate Slinkard's Metten Court apartment on the St. John's University campus in Collegeville, MN sometime around midnight on November 9, 2002. His friends believed he was just making a trip to the bathroom, but when he did not come back after 15 minutes, they assumed he had just walked back to his dorm room at St. Maur House. It was a three minute walk, but he never made it home. He has not been seen since. While there was some drinking at the party, friends say Josh Guimond was not inebriated when he left.
