Evil Jesuit University Fires Last Catholic on its Faculty?

Edit: in an ongoing battle, one of the last remaining conservative voices on the faculty of the allegedly Catholic, Jesuit, Marquette University has been fired.  We're linking here to an article by the estimable Austen Ruse who continues to do yeoman's work on this subject, on which no objective criticism is available apparently, at America's "Catholic" Universities.
Here's the article and here's hoping that at least one Marquette alum will stop supporting this intellectually impoverished institution which continues, despite all information to the contrary, that it's a Catholic school.
In future we're going to be linking more frequently to Professor McAdams pugilistic and unapologetic blog:
In a lengthy letter, Dean Richard Hotz told McAdams, “…your conduct clearly and substantially fails to meet the standards of personal and professional excellence that generally characterizes University faculties. As a result, your value to this academic institution is substantially impaired.”
For years McAdams has been a conservative thorn in the side of liberal Marquette. On his Marquette Warrior blog, he has chronicled the liberal foibles of Marquette faculty, staff and students.
At issue this time was a blog post McAdams published last November 9th in which he described a classroom situation where Cheryl Abbate, a junior faculty member, shut down a student who wanted to discuss his opposition to same-sex marriage because she considered it an unacceptable topic in her ethics class and would be on par with a discussion favoring racism or sexism. She also said such a discussion would offend any gay students in class.

Milwaukee's Archbishop Listeki to Direct Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Edit: This is from the planner's facebook group.  We've heard of Cardinal Gibbons going into protestant churches to preach on Sundays about the glories of Americanism, but this is really... comical.  Of course, some will remember when he helped unveil Archbishop Weakland's bronze "defender of children" statue.  Milwaukee is so lucky.
On Monday, June 17, 2013, Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki will trade in his bishop’s staff for a baton and add “music conductor” to his list of jobs, as he guest conducts the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the Milwaukee Theater, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, 7:30 p.m.
The 360-member chorus of men and women, and 65 members of the Orchestra at Temple Square, all volunteers, has performed at World’s Fairs and expositions, at inaugurations of U.S. presidents, in acclaimed concert halls from Australia and Europe to Asia and the Middle East, and on television broadcasts. With their incomparable voices and their shared faith in God, they are a significant presence in the world of music as they give service through song.

Archbishop Listeki Would Rather Accentuate the Postitive

A public hearing on legislation that would eliminate the statute of limitations on civil actions against child sexual abusers turned into something more Tuesday at the Capitol. Milwaukee’s new Archbishop, Jerome Listecki, found himself on the hot seat, regarding one of his predecessors.

State Senator Glenn Grothman referred to former Archbishop Rembert Weakland as “a piece of work,” and pressed Listecki about why Weakland was allowed to attend Listecki’s recent installation Mass. “Isn’t it really a poke in the eye to all these people who’ve suffered so horribly, to continue, after the actions of this man, to give him a place of honor in ceremonies?” Grothman referred to church officials who allowed Weakland to attend the installation as “screwballs.”

Listecki admitted that Weakland is “a lightning rod” within the Archdiocese. “Having said that, you know you do talk to some people who talk about some of the good things that he has done. Now, certainly, those good things, a pall is cast upon them because of the direction and leadership he’s given in this area.”
Weakland served as Milwaukee Archbishop for twenty-five years and has been accused of returning priests accused of sexually abusing children to active duty. Grothman asked Listcki about Wealand’s current status. “Does he have any position of honor still in the church? Is he still over anybody or have any authority at all?” Listecki said no, that Weakland is “totally retired.”

Retired, but not without honor, according to Peter Isely, Midwest Director of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. “He’s the emeritus Archbishop of Milwaukee, that is an honorary title. That title can be taken from him,” said Isely. “He can be removed from the board of the Catholic Conference. The pastoral center at the Cathedral is called the Weakland Center. Change the name.”

A Tale of Two Bishops

Two Bishops have made the news over the last few weeks. Sex Abuse Archbishop Weakland of Milwaukee who paid half a million dollars in hush money to his boyfriend is going to further outrage the citizens of Milwaukee by appearing at a Mass alongside retired Archbishop Pilarczyk and incoming Archbishop Listeki; and Pro-Gay Marriage Cardinal Fideles is being silent about the "Gay Marriage" issue that is up in the Portuguese Parliament and became rather persnickety when a journalist pressed him as to why, according to Lifesite:

The cardinal, who openly supports legal privileges for same-sex couples in conflict with Vatican teaching, is also a close confidant of Portugal's socialist prime minister, Jose Socrates.

The meeting in Milwaukee of Catholic luminaries should provide adaquate fodder for those clamouring for more "transparency" and "democracy" in the Roman Catholic Church, hoping, who really knows why, that the Church will change her doctrines on Birth Control and Clerical Celibacy. If it's hard to see why people get worked up about it, perhaps it's because that, apart from a coterie of elitist scribblers at the big newspapers, most people don't really care. We think they'd rather that their local Bishops were the good men they are often portrayed to be. We think they'd rather, perhaps against the corrupt expectations of the liberal press corp, that the Catholic Church really were the organization it's portrayed as being in those old Bing Crosby movies.

Unfortunately, Archishop Listeki has really lost a golden opportunity to stand up against the tyrany of evil and to date, it seems that most Bishops would prefer to spend their treasure on their Public Image at the expense of their eternal souls.

On the other hand, in Portugal, the government, ever Masonic in its general lack of principles, is promoting Gay Marriage. Like the previous example-- there's what Noam Chomsky calls some manufactured going on-- most people don't approve of the Catholic Church harboring sex predators like Archbishop Weakland, and most of the Portuguese people despise the idea of gay marriage.

Here's a news story on the Bronzed Sex Abuse Archbishop and you can really read in the comments that they are angry that something they cherish has been tarnished by a vile predatory, homosexual Bishop.

And then there's an obituary for a recently deceased Anglican Bishop, who pounded on the door to the Catholic Church, sorry, we're not interested in converts was the reply, he was actually refused by the local Nuncio, but persisted till he was finally let in. Despite becoming a Catholic, he remained sceptical about the leadership (we wonder why), and wrote, according to Catholic Culture:

While certain that he had made the right decision in moving to Rome, he remained uneasy about the lack of rigour shown by the Catholic bishops on a range of issues, particularly their approach to ecumenicism.

This really does give more lie to the leftists in the media who can only harp about same-sex marriage, married priests and other pet issues, when their criticisms are actually held by a small number of elitists in the Church, but are really quite irrelevant.

A Few Anesthetized Souls Plan to Celebrate Archbishop Weakland's Defense of Children in Milwaukee

If Flannery O'Connor or Evelyn Waugh had been as hostile to the Catholic Church as they were to the world around it, they would have written a story like that of Archbishop Weakland. The Irony of him speaking at the unveiling of his own bronze image in a cathedral he virtually destroyed might give some hope to many of you who are morally attuned enough to realize the insanity of the situation. Enjoy the irony we say for God's vengeance can't be far behind in this story.

Link to story, and photos showing the artwork commissioned by Blessed Rembert who is depicted giving shelter to innocent children. It nearly rivals Ferdinand Marcos' own memorial which features Mozart's Requiem being played day and night for eternity.

We suspect that these are the signs of the depravity accompanying the death of Faith in the West when men no longer fear God and worship false idols.

Milwaukee Sex Abuse Archbishop Has Center Named after Him

Sex Abuse Archbishop is retired but his legacy lives on in Milwaukee as professional Victims Make Demands of new Archbishop..

MILWAUKEE -- A local sex abuse survivors group is challenging Milwaukee's archbishop designate to make major changes during his first three months in the archdiocese.

The "Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests," or SNAP, said they want Bishop Jerome Listecki to chart a new course in the diocese.

The group is calling for the resignation or firing of auxiliary bishop Richard Sklba.

Snap said Sklba was instrumental in covering up several sex abuse cases in the Milwaukee diocese.

They also want bishop Listecki to rename the Weakland Center at the cathedral.

The building is named after former archbishop Rembert Weakland, who admitted to a homosexual affair several years ago.

"We're here today to say to Archbishop Listecki, 'take your first 100 days and do a couple things to get this Weakland-Sklba era behind us,'" said SNAP's Peter Isley.

His proclivities are not only connected with sexual abuse, but with vandalism as this Seattle Catholic report from several years ago indicates....
