If Words Could Kill: Catholic Apologetics Mafia Attacks Faithful Catholics

De Agostini Picture Library via Getty Images

And I say to you, my friends: Be not afraid of them who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will shew you whom you shall fear: fear ye him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear him.

Edit: in the past few days there have been a lot of professed experts among the Apologetics Inc. people (it's more of a cult), the old EWTN crew and even a motorcycle hooligan of a Canon Lawyer (apparently an ex-Satanist), on Judaism and the Catholic Church.  They are now venting their collectivist fury upon anyone they perceive as deviating from the acceptable, progressive orthodoxy on the topic of  Judaism.  The blood lust is palpable.  Could this be the end of Catholic Apologetics?

While those addressing the question of Judaism critically, and fearlessly, are in short supply, there are no shortage of individuals who, not having studied the question very deeply, wish to assume the worst of people who merely believe and know what the Church has taught and lived for centuries.

The current mob within the Church, who are now attacking faithful Catholics, including faithful priests like Father Peter West, do not draw their inspiration from the scriptures, so much as novelties which have been put upon the Church in the last half-century, like the post-Conciliar interpretations of Vatican II. These interpreters, like Cardinal Kasper, Hans Kung, Cardinal Bernardin, were eager to show their zeal for the Jewish nation, even to the point of disparaging Scripture itself. These were the visible agents of a powerful force which imposed a Church-wide institutional disposition, declaring a unilateral peace with the Jewish people. Maybe Catholic hostility was in the past, but Jewish hostility towards Catholics? Certainly, the aforementioned Apologetics Inc. is more than eager to attack!

The Church had opened its door, and ever since it has ever been perilous to express any opinion which might coincide with actual Catholic teaching of the ages, especially not touching on Judaism, which might offend the imposed consensus, no matter how far that consensus and fanaticism on its behalf, falls from the sensus catholicus, love of neighbor, or indeed, the Catholic Faith itself. Nowhere is the auto-lesionistic disease afflicting the Church more evident. Thus it has come to pass that expressing an opinion on Judaism, even the most innocuous and apparently harmless, can lead to heights of rage that will land a man in a lot of hot water with those powers and principalities, like the aforementioned apologetics mafia who are the handmaids of this oppressive arrangement.  In many "civilized" Western countries, it can even mean prison.

In view of this situation, it seems worthwhile to revisit an instructive story.  One lone voice was raised years ago.  The man who raised it was nearly thrown out on the street.  Yet teaching Catholicism on a question touching on the Jews cost him his job as an instructor of Sacred Scripture. It must have been painful for him to make this stand, for teaching was something he loved doing, but we're grateful he did.  He still maintains this notion about the Jews and their Covenant which can
only be fulfilled in Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

Here is Father Echert's account as it appeared last year, which addressed the same problem which as raised its head again now that Cardinal Kasper and the Sankt Gallen Mafia rule at Santa Marta.  This was taken from AKA Catholic:

The Archdiocese won't allow us to use his official photo.

Less than two years into the new millennium, Moslem terrorists attacked the United States on 9/11, murdering thousands of Americans and sending hundreds of thousands of military troops to wars that would last for years. Among those deployed was a Catholic military chaplain from Minnesota, who was called to active duty from the classroom; this priest was also the Scripture Expert for the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) website.

Jerusalem: Anti-Christian Slogans Smeared on Monastery Walls

Christian clergy and nuns were spit on or had stones thrown at them, New Testaments were burned.  Radical Jewish settlers are prime suspects.

Jerusalem (kath.net/idea) The walls of a Greek Orthodox Monastery in Jerusalem are smeared with anti-Christian graffiti. Unknown individuals sprayed among other things, "Death to Christians". Press reports suggest that the signature "Maccabees of Mignon" point to settlers as the originators of the defacing. "Maccabees of Mignon" is the name of an illegal settlement near Ramallah in West Jordan.

In the past Christians were repeated victims of attacks by ultra-Orthodox Jews. The ecumenical news agency ENI news reported that Christian clergy and nuns were spit on or had stones thrown at them, and that anti-Christian statements were sprayed on the walls of church buildings. The religious court Beth Din Tzedek, the highest authority for ultra-Orthodox community in Haredi, has sharply condemned these activities. Also, messianic Jews, who believe in Jesus Christ as the chosen Messiah of Israel, complain about stalking by Orthodox Jews. They accuse the anti-Christian recruits of Jewish Orthodox Groups Yad L'Achim of passing out fliers and holding demonstrations, accusing them of 'steeling souls and attempting to "brainwash" Jews'. A New Testament was burned. Of the 7.7 million inhabitants of Israel, 76 percent are Jews, 15 are Muslim and 2 percent are Christian. The number of Messianic Jews stands from 10.000 to 15.000.

Protests Against Blasphemous Play Intensify -- Theater Seeks Police Instead of Dialogue

Edit: Isn't pelting the blasphemous play with rocks and criticism just more "freedom of expression"?

(Milan, Italy) Andrée Ruth Shammah, the director of the Teatro Parenti is seeking the "political and relgiously responsible people in the city of Milan", the Communist Mayor Antonio Pisapia, the Catholic Archbishop Andrea Scola and probably also the Police Prefect, to take care of the peace and security of the theater, to protect from "daily more serious" waves of protest against the introduction of the blasphemous play "Sul conetto di Volto nel Filgio di Dio" [On the concept of the face regarding the Son of God], which is a huge representation of the face of Jesus which is pelted by stones and mud while the following sentence smeared with excrement, "You're not my Shepherd". The theater "never wanted to be offensive", said Shammah. "We are not looking for controversy, though we have looked for dialogue with mutual respect."

Shammah distributed the release simultaneously at the same release, however, the labels of "good" and "evil". In the production itself, there is no invitation to a "constructive dialogue". They miss every insight of criticism of the piece by Romeo Castellucci. In place of that Shannah dismisses every criticism, that the production only "by reason that there are falsely or misleading interpretations", to be finally brought "to silence" ultimately, because of a word that's conceived as "blasphemy". The charge of blasphemy is categorically denied by the director. What is blasphemous or not is obviously determined by religious sensibilities. [Which don't matter if those are Catholic.] The shift in roles of "black and white" according to Shemmah is: these are free arts, that are completely and unjustifiably threatened, against which demand protection by the authorities, then there are those, where those who threaten them are completely unjustifiably threatened, while they call for the protection of the authorities.

The Jewish Shemmah puts a surprising lack of religious sensitivity toward Christianity in this day, especially since she is heavily involve d in the life of the Jewish community. Even on her Facebook page, there are complaints, however, about the "anti-Semitic" character sound to the criticism of her work.

Abuse Scandal Rocks Jewish World

Edit: so far the only major network to pick this up has been CBS, but a local Jewish publication, Haredi, has picked it up.

Surely, this will be spun somehow to become a story about sex-abuse in the Catholic Church.  If only there weren't so much shame, greed and medieval secrecy in Judaism, I'm sure these things wouldn't happen.  Perhaps there should be some serious government oversight of Jewish institutions?

This has been a substantial problem in the Orthodox community, but it doesn't get a lot of media coverage.

There hasn't been a lot of media coverage about homosexual predators in UK Islamic circles either.

And, of course, when atheists aren't running abortion clinics, they're turning girls' orphanages into brothels.

[Haredi] It happened for a very long time: Eighty-five men from Brooklyn's ultra-Orthodox community are suspected of sexually abusing more than 100 of the community's children and teenagers.
Many, including the victims' parents, allegedly knew about it but chose to keep silent – until one of the community organizations decided to reveal the horrible secret and went to the police.

Sexual abuse: Report to police or rabbi?  / Sammy Hudes
US Orthodox groups clarify stance after saying child's sexual abuse should be reported to rabbi, who would then decide if police should be notified
Full story
The affair was reported by the New York Post on Sunday. The New York police are still unsure when the abuse began, but it clearly stretched over several years. Several years of suffering, trauma and perhaps the worst thing of all – a conspiracy of silence aimed at preventing humiliation and shame, all at the expense of the helpless children.
An initiative called Kol Tzedek (“voice of justice") decided to expose the dreadful acts, and as the months went by more and more men were arrested. The organization members located children who fell victim to the abuse and convinced them to complain.

Christian Palestinian victim 'stabbed 10 times [allegededly] by Zionist haredim' terrorists!

Editor: You've got to pick a side.  We're on the Catholic side, every day, all day, to the death.  If a Jew fell upon a Catholic in Palestine, would anyone hear about it?  Let's hope the Israeli government, which has almost nothing to do with authentic Judaism as many Orthodox Rabbis will attest, does something to put a stop to this.  Christians have been leaving Palestine over many years for obvious reasons.

Alber Halul, who was stabbed Saturday night by a group of masked men he claims are haredim, recounted the attack Sunday. "They threatened to shoot us if we resisted and stabbed me 10 times – in my head, my leg, and my neck," he told Ynet.

Halul, a 22-year old Christian Arab from the Galilee town of Gush Halav, was assaulted while with a group of friends at Ein Zeitim forest, near Safed.

He says that at around 12:30 am two vehicles arrived at their gathering place and eight masked men alighted, and attacked them. Halul is currently being treated for wounds in his back, head, and legs at Ziv Hospital in Safed.

"At around 12:30 five masked drove up in a Nissan jeep and began driving in circles near us. Then they left and came back with another vehicle, and came closer," he recalled from his hospital bed.

"They threw stun grenades and fired in the air. Then eight masked men got out of the car and began to attack us. The guys I was with ran away but I stayed to protect a girl who was with us. They stabbed me 10 times in my head, my leg, and my neck until they hit me hard and I fell to the ground."

Halul says he knows the men were ultra-Orthodox Jews although they wore masks. "While they were attacking us one of the said that if we dared to resist they'll shoot us and we knew from their accent and their clothes that they were ultra-Orthodox," he said.

It wasn't the first time the 22-year old was attacked due to his race. "I won't return to the forest again. The Jews' hatred and racism against us has reached a point of real violence that threatens our lives," he said.

"I don't want to blame anyone and hope that the police will reach the people behind this attack because such people shouldn't be walking the streets – they are a menace to the Jewish and Arab public."

But police have not yet made any arrests in the case, and say they have no suspects. "The case is still being investigated," police said in a statement.

Interfaith divorce: War over child’s religion - Catholic Father vs.Jewish Mother

Interfaith divorce: War over child’s religion - chicagotribune.com

Rebecca Reyes opened an e-mail from her estranged husband in November to learn to her shock that he had their 3-year-old daughter baptized in the Catholic Church even though she said the couple, in happier times, had agreed to raise her in the Jewish faith.

What happened over the next few months brought the couple's private battles into the open and raises questions about how far the court system can — or should — go in dictating what faith separated parents teach their children.

After the unannounced baptism, a Cook County Circuit Court judge took the unusual step of temporarily barring Reyes' husband, Joseph, from exposing their child to any religion other than Judaism. But Joseph Reyes then allegedly defied the order by taking his daughter to Mass at Holy Name Cathedral — with a television news crew in tow.

Of course this reminds us of the Mortara Case when a child was taken away from his Jewish family because he'd been baptized a Catholic. The boy was successively raised a Catholic and became a priest.

Jewish Community thinks Obama is a Muslim and Takes them for Granteds

Jews at home and abroad have been slow to warm to Mr. Obama – a recent poll found nearly 40 percent of Israelis believe he is Muslim – and it seems the distrust within the community is at least partly driving the anger.
