Berlin – A hobby gardener is trimming mahonia in the front yard when a man comes by and stabs her into a coma.  The trial before the Berlin district court began on Tuesday.

Room 700. Accused: Abdul Malik A. (29) from Afghanistan.  Since 2015 in Berlin.  Apartment in Wilmersdorf.  "A very nice guy," says his cousin to BILD.  An insidious murderer who was prevented by others from completing his bloody work, says the Berlin Attorney General's Office.

Flashback: It's September 4, 2021, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.  Regina G. (58) trims shrubs in front of her rental house at the corner of Güntzelstrasse and Prinzregentenstrasse in Wilmersdorf.  Shortly there afternoon , nothing is as it was: stitches in the neck and head, coma, forever requiring nursing care.  She only survived because her neighbor Klaus F. (66) interfered with the words: "Tell me, are you crazy, leave the woman alone!"

The former nurse  plays the drums, and was coming from rehearsal.  This is how he experienced the madness of the  attack: "I see a well-dressed man in a blue caftan, blue trousers, creases.  The woman is busy with the hedge trimmer in the front yard.  He approaches from behind.  A scream.  She kneels.  He is holding her hair with his right hand and a knife to her neck with his left.”

Klaus F. continues: "I shout: 'Leave the woman alone!'  He looks pitiful.   He drops her and comes for me.  Gets the throat and larynx.  I ran to the barber shop with the last of my strength and call out: 'Get the police, they want to kill a woman!'"

Klaus F. (66) stepped in and protected his neighbor from further stab wounds

The knifeman smiles.  He relies on a self-defense claim: "The woman attacked me!  She had big scissors.  I only have a small knife for bread and melons.” The judge: “Did you mind that the woman cut flowers?” The knifeman gently: “Yes, beautiful flowers, please don't cut them, I said.” His lawyer emphasizes: “He has no problem with women!”

Berlin pensioner Klaus stopped the Afghan knife

The Two Faces of the Knife Afghan

A police officer (49) who arrested him at the time: "He said his God had ordered the woman to be killed because she kept cutting the flowers."

Instead of being in jail, the knifeman is now behind bars in the psycho hospital.  “The food is better there too,” he says with satisfaction.  The judge: “The woman is paralyzed today!” The accused: “God sees everything.  Mistakes happen.  I'm not a terrorist.  Send me back home.  Or release me!”

The verdict is due to be issued on May 24th.

Italian Cardinal Says That if Catholics Don’t Like Francis, They Can Become Protestant

'There are too many people talking about the Pope,' said Cardinal Bassetti, President of the Italian Bishops' Conference, when he met media representatives.

Edit: I’d have thought approving of this Pope was something Protestants were likely to do. Would Protestants welcome traditionalist Catholics like they welcome unrepentant sodomites?

Perugia (kath.net/lifesitenews/jg)
"If someone does not like the Pope, he should be allowed to say it because he can go other ways," said Gualtiero Cardinal Bassetti, President of the Italian Bishops' Conference, during a meeting with media representatives in Perugia on January 25.

"There are too many people talking about the Pope," Bassetti said of the growing discontent with Pope Francis among Catholics.  He told someone to go to the Protestants if he didn't like the Catholic Church.  They would have neither a pope nor a bishop.  Everyone can make their own decisions.”  "Enough complaining.  It doesn't help anyway,” he said.

Cardinal Bassetti (77) is Archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve (Italy).  Pope Francis made him cardinal in 2014.  He has been the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference since 2017.

It is not clear who Bassetti (archive photo) specifically meant by his outburst described by Italian media.  Il Messaggero suspected that the displeasure of many Italians with Pope Francis' stance on immigration could have triggered the cardinal's acrimony.  At the media meeting, Bassetti presented the program for the Mediterranean initiative "Mediterranean: Border of Peace" organized by the Italian Episcopal Conference, which will take place in Bari from September 19 to 23

New Scalfari Interview: Pope Francis Really is a Revolutionary

(Rome) Is Pope Francis a Marxist? Or Communist? Who knows, but certainly he is a "revolutionary," as his friend and avowed atheist Eugenio Scalfari explained in the recent editorial of his La Repubblica, the only daily newspaper that is said to be regularly read by Francis.
Questions about the pope's political convictions have cropped up since the pontificate began. The starting point was in autumn 2013 with the publication of Evangelii gaudiumAt the time, critics in the United States called Francis a Marxist.

Is the pope a Marxist? A communist?

From the left side it was first mentioned particularly clearly in connection with the visit of the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Tsipras, a representative of the radical left, which emerged from the former Communist Party of Greece, was received in September 2014 by Pope Francis in Santa Marta. The meeting came about through the mediation of Walter Baier, former president of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ). Following the meeting, Tsipras said:
"The Pope is not a leftist, but he talks like a leftist".

Professional Catholic Cancer Bill Donohue Attacks Steve Banon

Edit: professional Catholics are the worst of the worst and anyone who's been around this site for more than a few years knows that we really despise Bill Donohue. Like an inner-city youth leader defending the crimes of local "youth", he's on the scene to defend his constituents, no matter what evil they've perpetuated, he'll jump to their defense. Instead of attacking the people pointing out how the Bishops hate their host nations, despise the West, despise the Catholic Faith, why not defend the Catholic Faith, instead, even though it's not as lucrative...

Steve Banon is absolutely correct about the bishops. They are a political extension of the DNC and like the DNC they see their political power enhanced by the invasion of immigrants. This is manifestly true and it's the mission of Pro-Catholics like Donohue to keep the laity from seeing this obvious fact.

[Catholic League] Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on a remark made by Steve Bannon that will air on “60 Minutes” on Sunday:

There is nothing wrong about criticizing the bishops for any position they take on public policy, though when invidious motives are ascribed to them, such conjecture is unacceptable. That is what Steve Bannon has done with regard to their statements on immigration.

It is certainly true that most of the bishops promote a liberal position on illegal immigration. That is open to fair criticism, but to say that their motive is to “fill the churches” is inaccurate and unfair. Indeed, it feeds the worst impulses of anti-Catholics. The bishops are making their case based on their compassion for the dispossessed.

Link to Pro-Catholic Website... Notice how these leftist journalists are practically jumping to the defense of the Catholic Church. And he's a boomer.

Cardinal Turkson: "Turn off the Faucet of Mass Immigration"

(Rome) Cardinal Peter Turkson, Prefect of the new Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development  said:

"Immigration is like water running out of the water tap. It is not only necessary to wipe
it up, but to turn off the tap."

The Cardinal's reply to the letter went back to March 30, but was hardly noticed. The SIR, the press service of the Italian Bishops' Conference, was worth a small report. In a press conference, the Cardinal presented a meeting of his dicastery, which took place a week ago on the 3/4th of April in the Vatican. The occasion was the publication of Populorum Progresso 50 years ago.

Immigration, according to the Cardinal, is a long-term phenomenon. Therefore, "systematic planning and turning off the tap" would have to be done by promoting projects in migrant countries of origin. The aim of these projects must be to prevent the emigration of the population. The second aspect is the admission of these countries to the world market.

The Cardinal warned against the negative consequences of excessive immigration into countries with a demographic decline.

"Where there are more guests than children, there are always strong tensions. Asylum can be granted if domestic demographic development is ensured. When the births return, the native population will have its concern about the arrival of immigrants offset. The nationalisms arise precisely because of the concern of the native population of a country could be swallowed up by the immigration of a new population."

As far as the statements of the Cardinal, reproduced by SIR. Its overall statements have not yet been published.

An Italian Court Finds Muslims Who Tortured and Drowned Christians Guilty of Religious Hatred

A court in Palermo imposes 18 years of imprisonment because in 2015 Muslims apparently had thrown 12 Christians into the sea on their flight across the Mediterranean Sea - the judges regarded religious hatred as an aggravating circumstance

Palermo (kath.net) An Italian court last week condemned six migrants to 18 years imprisonment because they had thrown twelve Christians into the sea in April of 2015. The judges considered religious hatred as an aggravating circumstance. A defendant was sentenced to four years' imprisonment for torture, and others charged were released. Italian and Austrian media, including the daily newspaper "Der Standard", published in Vienna, reported on a report from the APA press agency.

Christian and Muslim refugees had dared to flee across the Mediterranean, and religious disputes arose on the ship: Christians had been compelled to pray to Allah. Muslim migrants are said to have beaten twelve Christians from Nigeria and Ghana and thrown them overboard.

The Attack on Berlin: Donald Trump Speaks Where German Politicians Are Silent Out of Indifference, Cowardice or Evil

(Berlin) Nice is Berlin, Berlin is Nice. The balance of twelve deaths and 49, some of them severely injured, of the Islamic attack attempt on the Christmas market on the Breitscheidplatz near the Berlin Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche brings the multicultural and interreligious back to reality. The civil society compulsion of self-abandonment and self-expulsion, which was raised to state-rebelliousism, had suffered shipwreck, as was foreseen. The assassination attempt of Berlin is only the terrible epilogue of this failure.
In Ankara the Russian ambassador was recently shot. The assassin was precise and ice cold. He acted professionally because he had been trained as a policeman. In Berlin, on the model of Nice, a truck raced into a peaceful crowd. Whoever should fall beneath the wheels would be killed.  But the intended were Germans,  Christians, Europeans. The assassin had the target in his visor with his hand on the steering wheel and  foot on the accelerator.
The assassin was a "refugee" from Pakistan or Afghanistan, according to the Federal Ministry of the Interior. But not even now, politicians and the media lack the courage and the decency to put the word "refugee" in quotes. The Polish driver of the truck had previously been shot by the assassin.
The "nightmare," which has come true, now speaks of those who have hitherto done little to prevent it. The new migration of peoples must be accepted, there is no deviation from that, the mantra of insistent brainwashing, which is accompanied by thought-control and verbal prohibitions, in order not to miss the desired effect. Within such a narrow framework, the state contented itself with the attempted maintenance of internal and external security, which is more than justified, as Berlin proves. And as other attacks have already cruelly proven, even in Germany.
The politics and the exclusive opinion makers do not want this. This has a name and it is called denial. Germans, the Austrians, the Europeans are going to have to accept the "challenges of a multicultural society". Terror attacks, murder and manslaughter have been regrettable but inevitable collateral damage for the "big project". This is not a random joke or an verbal gaffe, but a deliberate plan in which a heterodox alliance has emerged at an early stage, which, although acting for various reasons, with  different interests, dissolves European peoples, deprives European states of their sovereignty, undermining the rule of law and jeopardizing security, in short, undermining the community. What is meant is the policy that redefines the German people to the population, eradicates the word nation from their language habits, makes the family defenseless, and wants to reduce Christianity to a social union. The statement is freely transferable to all other "Western" European peoples and states.
In the face of such a coo-coo idea like the "big project", citizens are increasingly wondering how their European homelands could exist so far without "diverse colorfulness". And yet, they have existed, and without exception, without fear of the women and girls venturing out into the street, without fear of the family fathers visiting with their children in a lively place like a Christmas Market, without giving whole zones over to the police and state. Why all this? Why are we doing this, Mrs. Merkel? This question is also addressed to the Greens, the "Immigration Party" par excellence, to the columnists of the editorialists, the leading representatives of the economy, and the state-acclaimed cultural blinders, whose independence goes, at best, only as far as the edge of their own bed. "Is this fun to you?" Wrote a Syrian Christian, after hearing of the terror attack in Berlin, referring to the Berliners, the Germans, the Europeans in general. His words are an accusation and an expression of disappointment at the same time. He had to flee from Syria, but did not strike out on the road to Europe, and could not understand how Europe opens the doors to those who are to blame for his fate.
The coming Christmas festival is now overshadowed by the bloody terror attack on Berlin. Even more unbearable will be the cloying speeches of the politicians and the media commentators who will explain to us in their devilish way that the tragedy is "irreversible", that we should "endure" (for what?), and this will all be garnished with the words of a farcical language such as "civil society" (the "axis of the good" will at least hopefully be sought out), "tolerance", "kuntibunti [color culture]", and "inclusion". False because the premisses are wrong, because the overall project for which these words are used is absurd and has always been absurd.
The fact is that Germany is importing the problems and conflicts of the world through its immigration policy. No one can credibly explain the reason why a state and a nation were to do such a thing. The people were never asked, and the state was usurped by those who were merely representatives of the people and not self-sovereign state proprietors. People were presented with beautifully wallpapered ideologues. The media company made it possible, the Internet has restored a free space. The wallpaper has long since blown off, revealing the cheap decoration of a movie theater, a fake. But who wants to live in a Potemkin village, who always wants to think about reality?
US President Donald Trump said in his reaction to the Berlin assassination something that Germany's politicians hide from saying out of cowardice, indifference, ignorance or wickedness: "The Islamists constantly kill Christians in their communities and prayer places as part of their worldwide jihad." This is simply the reality. But for German ears, however, this sounds already like a bold assertion. In order to  hear a voice of the persecuted Christians in the Middle East,  one has to look far and wide in the Bundesrepublik in the search and will only find it in  the second rank among the so-called established
parties. Trump says what the facts are: the murder of Christians is a certain aim of the Jihad. In Nigeria was in Nice as in Berlin.

Massive Fire in Pope's Immigrant Camp: Arson Suspected

About 3,000 residents of Moria camp are homeless on Lesbos - situation risks due to precarious conditions and raises the dire mood.

Athens (kath.net/KAP) After a fire in refugee camp Moria in Lesbos,  which Pope Francis has visited in April, more than 3,000 residents have fled the hotspot on Monday night to other parts of the Aegean island. About 60 percent of the facilities were destroyed according to local information, by the fire, while nobody was injured.

The Greek police are convinced this is deliberate arson. 18 refugees and migrants were arrested, according to the Athens daily "Kathimerini" (Tuesday). They are expected to be responsible for the fires and for previous riots.

According to media reports, before the fire, refugees of different ethnicities had gotten into an argument. The mood was particularly fueled by rumors of an impending mass deportation of people back to Turkey. The precarious conditions in the overcrowded reception center played a role: On Lesbos, there are currently held around 5,650 refugees, while the accommodation there offers only room for 3,500.

Because of the fire camp residents were left homeless, and now according to estimates by the Mayor of Lesbos, Spyros Galinos, further escalation is threatened. He asked Athens for help; it must not ultimately be that only 15 municipalities throughout Greece should shoulder the entire refugee problem, Galinos criticized on Tuesday in a radio interview.

Moria reached the public's attention in the spring, as Pope Francis traveled to the camp and met refugees there. He spoke to them in solidarity with his visit, of courage and called on them to mutual affection and solidarity; surprisingly, he then took twelve Muslims from Syria on his return to Rome  from Syria, including six children; in June he took nine other residents of Moria; two of them were Christians.

Schönborn Trivializes His "Warning" of Islamic Threat

Is Cardinal Warning of an Islamic Invasion of Europe?
(Vienna) "Schönborn warns of Islamic conquest of Europe" (ORF), "Schönborn: 'Many Muslims want a conquest of Europe.'" (OE24). The headlines reveal a suspicious departure from the current "Welcome Culture". But is that really true?

Active Advocate of Unrestricted Border Opening

Vienna's Archbishop, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, was thought to be one of the most active advocates of an unrestricted opening of the border for mass immigration. It's a  process which proceeds more under the heading "Refugee Aid", and has dominated the political debate since last year not just in Austria.
Church institutions are among the main service providers that organize the reception of refugees professionally on behalf of the state. However, a majority of them are economic migrants, as government politicians now admit. The proportion of genuine refugees under the international conventions is given, depending on the estimate at 20-33 percent. Each genuine refugee, therefore, is up to four economic migrants entering the country.
However, Cardinal Schönborn has refused to make, together with Caritas and much of the political elite, any differentiation. It's a refusal which corresponds to the attitude of the immigration party par excellence, the Greens, which was taken in 2015 from still unknown reasons from both Austrian government parties, the Social Democratic SPÖ and the Christian Democratic People's Party. The resulting bold slogan, Refugee Welcome, comes from the vocabulary of the extreme left.

Voting Advice for the Candidates of Immigration Party par excellence

Last May, Cardinal Schönborn, in the context of the subject of mass immigration and Islamization campaign, made a bizarre voting recommendation - which he did not want to be understood as such - for the federal presidential candidate of the Greens, Alexander Van der Bellen. The president of The Austrian Bishops' Conference made the statement:
"Nobody has the truth, and you yourself do not."
In Catholic circles in Vienna  the statement, unusual for a Catholic bishop, was read as a benevolent signal to the lodge brothers. Van der Bellen had been a member in 1975 of the Masonic Lodge in Innsbruck. In contrast, his opponent Norbert Hofer, of the nationalist, conservative Freedom Party of Austria at (FPÖ), has the Order of St. George, by which the Cardinal seems but very little impressed.
Salzburg Auxiliary Bishop Andreas Laun  previously responded to voters of Catholic organizations for Van der Bellen after which the diocesan bishops, including the Archbishop of Vienna, were enveloped in silence:
"That Christians are, either  thoughtless or, even worse, are already so brainwashed  that they are prepared to choose a declared God and therefore enemy of the Church - and that others also want to seduce - shows what condition circles in the Church are."
The election was subsquently annulled by the Constitutional Court because of irregularities and must be repeated in the autumn. Whether Schönborn will repeat his election manifesto, which not supposed to be one, will be repeated or not, should be the test of truth for statements made last Sunday and the credibility of the Church in Austria.

Consistently Incorrectly Analyzed Mass Immigration

In December 2015 Schönborn had, for the Slovak weekly magazine Týždeň, sharply criticized the "refugee policies" of the immigration policies of countries neighboring Austrian: Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. He accused the governments of these countries of being "blinded by a vicious propaganda". He was "ashamed" of the rejection of a mass immigration by these countries "in so-called Christian arguments" like the "fear of Islamisation". A "rational calculation" shows that Europe "needs millions of immigrants to maintain our lifestyle." What Schönborn honestly reveals, indicates that there are in reality very different motivations behind the "refugee crisis."
Yet on March 13, 2016, Schönborn reiterated on ORF television Press Hour of the Austrian Church Hierarchy "consistently incorrectly analyzed mass immigration" (see The Church "Refugee" - Craze Continues - Cardinal Schönborn's Dangerous Illusions and the Decline of the Church ). The attitude of the church hierarchy was marked by "clandestine agreements, self-censorship, confused talk" and "siding with the powerful," says the Catholic theologian and Pro-lifer Wolfram Schrems.

But what is Cardinal Schönborn saying now?

"Today 333 years ago, Vienna was saved. Will there now be a third attempt at an Islamic conquest of Europe? Many Muslims think and wish that and say: This is Europe at the its end. And I think that Europe today should ask as Moses today's reading and what God the Merciful does with his younger son: Lord, give us another chance! Do not forget that we are your people just as Moses reminds him: It's YOUR people, YOU have led them out, YOU have sanctified them, they are YOUR people."

Schönborn's Maria Name Day sermon and its "clarification"

The statement is less spectacular than some media have stressed. And yet, from the mouth of Vienna's archbishop it is something spectacular to hear that he is convinced that "many Muslims think and wish" that there will be a "third attempt of an Islamic conquest of Europe". As to being a real "warning", such as claimed by the ORF, it was not, however.
Where id it the cardinal said this?
The statement came on September 11, at the end of his homily for this year's Mary Name Day Ceremony in Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral. The festival is an annual meeting, which was founded by the Franciscan Petrus Pavlicek at the 1947 prayer a0ction,  "Expiatory Rosary Crusade."
Cardinal Schönborn is reputed to have the adaptability to accommodate his respective audience. Is this true for his homily last Sunday? Was it a rush of realization from a process of reflection that led the Cardinal to the conclusion that "Europe is at the end" that Europe "is well on the way of forfeiting its Christian heritage"?  Or is the Cardinal only addressing a pious and "conservative" target audience?

The Relativization

When his unusual statements appeared on the Internet and spread fast. they were interpreted as a departure from the previous "Welcome Course" in matters of immigration and asylum, the Cardinal quickly addressed a corrective. On Twitter, he was eager to dispel this false impression:
"Do not get my message as a call to arms against the refugees".
He also referred to the website of the Archdiocese of Vienna, where "the intention of the sermon was again clarified" than as ORF reported. The archdiocese had published the sermon  in the text and to be safe, included commentary to prevent any misunderstanding from arising.
The blame does not fall upon Islam, not even the Islamists,  insisted the cardinal.  "We put the Christian heritage of Europe in danger."
The commentary explains: "Islamism could indeed may be the beneficiary [...]. But hope lies in the mercy of God." Then the comment is even clearer: "From the context it is also clear that  the Cardinal does not care to enter into a defensive struggle to defend Christian values against Islam ".
In the Sonntag,  weekly newspaper of the Archdiocese, Cardinal Schönborn issued the "following clarification":
"Europe's Christian heritage is at risk because we Europeans have squandered it. It has nothing to do with Islam or even the refugees. It is clear that many Islamists would like to take advantage of our weakness, but they are not responsible for our weakness. We are, the Europeans ourselves."
So there is nothing new in Vienna? "Nothing new," confirms a Viennese informant.

Germany: AfD Scores Resounding Victory

AfD Members: Celebrating in Schwerin
The result of state elections in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a slap in the face for the policy of Chancellor Merkel. One year after the opening of borders in Germany and the "We can do it" mantra of Angela Merkel, the decision of the voters was clearly determined in the northeast for a federal policy issue: the asylum policy and the influx of illegal immigrants to Germany.
According to initial projections, the CDU is falling to third place with 19 percent of the vote  and thus was one of its historically worst election results. The party was outclassed by the AfD, which will move from the state with 21 percent in the state legislature. Equipped with the incumbency of the popularly respected Prime Minister Erwin Selle, the SPD held 30 percent, but lost also about 5 percent.
Increase in turnout: citizens feel they have an alternative to vote on
Noteworthy is the increase in turnout by as much as ten percentage points from 51 to 61 percent. After years of steadily declining participation, there are  significantly more citizens going to the polls. The reason: Obviously, the start of the AfD has contributed significantly to the idea that citizens again have the feeling they have real political alternatives to vote for.
The success of the AfD is a success for democracy. Whether euro crisis, asylum chaos, national sovereignty or direct participation of citizens - at last it is not only in back rooms or social networks but that political decisions and decision-making are taking place in the place of a republic, namely the Parliament, to fight again with real pros and cons, which has you nothing to do any  longer with an absurd all-party coalition.
The  government tuteledge of citizens comes to an end
With this election result the triumph of AfD continues. It's all the more remarkable, since the party had to contend with massive discrimination and violent attacks by left-wing extremists. Upon the elections for the Chamber of Deputies in Berlin in two weeks, the young party founded only three years ago is expected to move into the tenth state parliament.
The established parties but also journalists in the mainstream media of the country must now  accept that Germany has experienced the long overdue normalization of its political landscape. The governmental tutelage of citizens by a political class now comes to an end. We are experiencing a positive re-politicization of society, the emancipation from a far left liberal dominated public opinion. And that's good!

Venice: Moroccan Muslim Entered Church and Damaged Crucifix

San Geremia in Venice: Muslim entered the church and tore
the cross down: "I will give you the truth.  I bring the truth."
(Rome) In Venice a few days ago a crucifix was badly damaged by  a Muslim  in the Church of San Geremia. The man shouted repeatedly: "I will give you the truth. I bring the truth. "
The church in Sestiere Cannaregio is consecrated to the Old Testament the prophet Jeremiah, close to the Grand Canal, which dates from the 11th century. While the Campanile is 850 years old, it is one of the oldest towers of Venice, the church took its present form in the 18th century. It is famous mainly because of the relics stored therein  of St. Lucy.
On July 12, a Moroccan Muslim with French residency, entered the Venice church filled with visitors  and rushed with loud cries to the large 300 year old crucifix. Here the man shouted, according to witnesses, repeatedly: "I will give you the truth. I bring the truth."  He snatched the three-meter-high cross and proceeded to damage the Corpus and cross by stomping it. He tore the left arm figure of Christ off.

The large crucifix of San Geremia: "This is the Son of God"

The Carabinieri led the man away. This "Islamism" is treated in the politically correct West as a form of mental illness, and  the man who will not face the consequences was medically examined, cited and then placed at liberty. Thus it was  politicians and the media downplayed the Muslim massacres of Graz (2015), three dead and 36 injured, and also the Muslim Amokfahrer of Nice, 84 dead and over 300 injured, was an insane individual perpetrators.

Patriarch of Venice: "Such gestures make joint cohabitation difficult"

The patriarch of Venice, Msgr. Francesco Moraglia condemned the incident in a statement. The Patriarch spoke of
"Gestures that make it difficult  to go on with common ways of living together."
For the meaning of the cross, the Patriarch referred to the Letter of Paul to the Philippians:
"His life was that of a man; he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Wherefore God hath highly exalted and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that every knee should bend in heaven, on earth and under the earth before the name of Jesus and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord' - to the glory of God the Father" (Phil 2:7 to 11).
God had "increased" His Son because of the cross and He bestowed dominion over the universe upon Him. "If we look at the cross where Christ was nailed, we see the sign of love, which was for each of us the foundation of salvation, and will be the cause of salvation for each of us," said Messa in Latino .

Because of the DNA traces found at the scene, the man is still strongly a suspect of having murdered a 70 year old woman in Bad Friedrichshall-Untergriesheim in Baden-Württemberg last Thursday. Police had arrested the suspect on Monday. The investigators found an item from the victim's home during their search. The prosecution is convinced that the man has actually been in the house of the 70 year old. (Ls)

After 50 Years of Liberal Church Management: 36 of 110 Churches of Brussels Will be Closed

36 of 110 Churches of Brussels shall soon be closed: The fate of
St. Nicholas (left) and Our Lady of Zavel are not certain.
(Brussels) In Brussels, capital of Belgium, 36 out of 110 Catholic churches will soon be closed and sold. The change in Archbishop also brought a change of direction back to "structural reforms" instead of spiritual renewal. It is the sad result of a homemade, progressive decline.

Brussels is also the headquarters of the European Union. The leftist city government majority in the municipal council consists of one third Muslims. These are two aspects that provide explanations for this unprecedented decline. Another key aspect is the decades-long line of liberal archbishops in the Archdiocese.

Cardinal Danneel's restructuring plans

Yet in 2010 there was a turning point: Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard tried as archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, certainly with recognizable success, to revive by the establishment and promotion of a small but faithful group in some churches that had been devastated for decades by his predecessor, Cardinal Godfried Danneels (Archbishop 1980-2010, Cardinal since 1983) which were already threatened of being put up for sale. Léonard's term of only five years, however, was too short. In addition, this churchman who fought in Europe's front line, received neither the necessary encouragement nor the necessary support.

Although Brussels has traditionally been linked to the dignity of cardinal, he was not granted it by Benedict XVI. not out of a false consideration for Danneels who was not yet 80 years old. Pope Francis did not even think to dream of it, to give a "Ratzingerian" like Léonard, the declared object of hatred of Francis-friend Danneels, the purple dignity. So Léonard's days were numbered.

On November 6, 2015, he was retired by Francis. With Jozef De Kesel, a Danneels man was named as the new archbishop, who quicly moved away from Léonard's restoration efforts and returned to the closure and sale policy of Danneels. Houses of worship would be sold off for little money. According to the plans of Archbishop De Kesel, newly established in his post on December 12, 2015 soon, there would be 36 of 110 churches closed in the "capital" of Europe. There has been no comparable action by the Church in all of its History in a European capital.

Archbishop De Kesel made his plans known in 2005

The daily newspaper La Libre published the plans with two articles. This did not only disturb the peace of Belgian Catholics. The question touches on other places of European catholicity in addition to Belgium, which are in the post-conciliar decline.

The third Christian millennium began with Cardinal Danneel's "restructuring plans". The conveyance and merging of parishes were central keywords that were given concrete shape from 2005 onwards. Jozef De Kesel was then Episcopal Vicar for the Vicariate Brussels, one of the three vicariates of the Archdiocese. It was De Kesel who announced the plans for the "future" of parishes in 2005. They were based on two considerations: as the number of Catholics decline, the number of parishes was greater than the demand, and especially greater than the funds; in addition, the high number of parishes of our Church does not fit the "multireligious and multicultural" dimension "of our modern society." It's a common choice of words to disguise Islamization. In Brussels there are more practicing Muslims than Catholics. The first name Mohammed has lead for several years on the list of newborn boys. Yet the theme of Islamization is politically undesirable among the dominant forces and must therefore must not be addressed. The same applies to the disintegration of the Catholic community through immigration into many small, independent, ethnic communities. Even immigration coming from Catholic sources has brought fragmentation rather than unity.

Current situation

The Kingdom of Belgium is a historical artifact in a linguistic-cultural space in transition. Since Germany, the Netherlands and France have territorial claims on the region, the great powers created it in 1830 from the former Austrian-Netherlands into a separate state in order not to disturb the balance of power. The inner layer is linguistically therefore, somewhat more complex than in other European countries, and this includes Church organization.

In the area of Brussels, there are 107 parishes which employ 250 priests. 11 pastoral units are Dutch-speaking (Flemish), 25 pastoral units are French (Walloons). Plus, there are 42 different foreign-language communities. All of these parishes, units and communities are summarized in four deaneries. According to information of the weekly magazine Tempi  36 pastoral parish units will be dissolved and at least one church be closed.

This does not mean that all churches are to be profaned immediately. But it is to say that all church activities such as baptisms, first communions, confirmations, catecheses are discontinued. The profanation and the sale are the next step. The first article of Le Libre last March 22 was like a shock to the faithful.

Churches as an object of speculation?

Some parishes are hard to keep. There is a lack of faithful and the funds are scarce among Brussels Catholics. The radical deforestation leaves the faithful in fear that even vibrant parishes could fall under the bureaucrat's wheels when their churches located in "interesting" parts of the city are set aside for real estate speculation. Among the seven criteria for the conveyance of parishes is the term "urban projects."

Above all, the faithful do not understand why parishes are to be dissolved, although there are enough priests to look after them.

The pastor of a small parish that is to be abandoned, asked not to close the church, but to leave it to the Polish community which still lacks their own church. The proposal was rejected.

According to La Libre there is no definite decision which parishes are to be closed. In the near future a meeting between a group of concerned Catholics and the reigning Episcopal Vicar for Brussels, Jean Kockerols, is to take place.

New Archbishop De Kesel has Introduced His Closure Plan Again

The big "remodeling" of the Catholic Church in Brussels, which had been put in the drawer by Archbishop Léonard, had once again been put on the table as soon as De Kesel took over the office as Archbishop. De Kesel announced the "reconstruction" in his pastoral letter of 2005. Cardinal Danneels wanted De Kesel to be installed as his successor in 2010. That was rejected by Benedict XVI. who gave the assignment to Léonard, the then Bishop of Namur, with the attempt to at revival. With the election of Pope Francis, however, in which Cardinal Danneels as a member of Team Bergoglio and the secret circle Sankt Gallen is again operational, the chapter of Léonard and Benedict XVI. for the Belgian church came to an end faster than expected.

Soon numerous Brussels churches are being offered on the real estate market for sale. It's a sad highlight in the decline of the self-adulating conciliar Church which says there is "no alternative." .

Mass Immigration: Pope Francis Flies to the Island of Lesbos -- Lampedusa 3

Pope Francis on Lampedeusa in 2013
(Rome) Pope Francis announced his visit to the Greek island of Lesbos, which is currently the flashpoint of mass migration ignited toward the direction of Europe. After visiting the island of Lampedusa on July 8, 2013, Holy Mass on the border fence on the US-Mexico border on February 18, 2016, Lesbos will be  the third act on the 15th of April of papal refugee activism.

Pope Francis is, next to German Chancellor Merkel, currently the most media effective "Ambassador" for an uncontrolled and undifferentiated mass immigration to Europe. Like no other world leader, he knows how to make the "migration Front" visible and at the same time engage a  one-sided indictment of  "separation" and "exclusion." Here even the Pope spoke last March 4th of an " Arab invasion" of Europe, which he would like to understand, however,  as an "opportunity".

What will change the agreement between the EU and Turkey?

The island of Lesbos is currently in the media spotlight. The reason is the agreement between the EU and Turkey. Turkey has agreed to take back rejected asylum seekers from the EU, but only under conditions. The first condition are billions of payments to Ankara. The second condition is that for each asylum seeker withdrawn from Turkey, another is admitted to the asylum procedure in the EU. In addition to the costs, it means the regulation of mass immigration can be continued in the EU, with the approval of Brussels and Berlin.

Whether the agreement holds that Turkey is a reliable partner, and if the rejected asylum seekers will behave remains to be seen. Additionally it  must be shown whether the agreement is followed through on.

Doubtful helping hand by the Pope

The advocates of "welcoming culture" have been put to the test  of their outrage at Brenner on 3 April on the Italian-Austrian border. They  see the island of Lesbos as a symbol of a "repressive" EU migration policy. Organizations have been called to  rally at Brenner, who were allegedly involved in the deadly "escape route" at Indumeni. Migrants were incited to force entry into the EU by the European extremists. They refer to themselves as "river helpers", had compelled them to force their way into the European Union.  Three migrants who arrived at the torrential border river died.  For these "staged humanitarian catastrophes" none of the inciters was still held criminally responsible. The radical nature of these forces appears even to condone the death of their "protégés," in order to force a population exchange in Europe.

Pope Francis in turn appears poised by his presence, to provide indirect help to protect the extreme position. There currently is no evidence that there will be the desired effect for an anticipated differentiation of the phenomenon on his third visit that one would expect from the Catholic Church leader on Lesbos. The intellectual honesty demands a differentiation and the people of Europe expect a differentiation, that it should no longer be impressed with the impression that there is merely interest in the fate of migrants, but not the fate of Europe and the Europeans.

The 68 Revolution and Its Consequences: The Year of 1968 Had the Fewest Children

The 1968 Revolution, the German People and Empty Cradles
(Berlin) statisticians and demographers have calculated: "The year 1968 had the least children." This was announced in Die Welt  in an edition from last week. 1968 is regarded as the crucial "year of change", the significant outcome of this year made  the world today is as it is. With the left-wing student protests of May 1968, the long-term profound cultural, political and economic changes were introduced. Three significant consequences are the demographic collapse, mass immigration and the weighty church crisis. It was then that the decisive year took on a more significant prominence, for  1968 became  the year in which  women have borne the least children. It's a fact of a symbolic nature.
The following considerations relate to the Federal Republic of Germany, but also apply to the other German-speaking countries and more or less include  other Western European countries.
