German Bishops Turn Tomb of Saint Paul Into Disco for Blasphemous Mass

(Rome) What's wrong with the church? This question is asked by believers after what happened on Tuesday during the pilgrimage of German altar servicers (minis or Ministranten) in the Patriarchal Basilica of Saint Paul outside the walls.

Altar servers from different countries were recently in Rome for the 12th International Altar Server Pilgrimage. It is the largest of its kind to date. 50,000 ministrants have come to the Eternal City from the Federal Republic of Germany alone, and another 4,000 from Austria.

The actual altar server pilgrimage lasted fom the 30th of July to the 3rd of August.

On July 31, an incident occurred that caused astonishment, anger and disappointment among Roman believers.

Officially, on the morning in the papal basilica of San Paolo Fuori le Mura (Saint Paul Outside the Walls) a Mass for "German Ministrants" should be celebrated. This much did the astonished Romans understand. The basilica is one of the most ancient churches in Christendom. In it, just below the altar, is the tomb of the Apostle Paul. Here he suffered martyrdom and was buried after his execution more than 1950 years ago. At the altar above his grave, only the pope and the sacred bearer delegated by him may celebrate Mass.

Catholic Psychedelic Trance?

Eyewitnesses reported that the organizers, i.e. the German pilgrims in charge of the pilgrimage, staged a spectacle in the church that was reminiscent not of the sacred liturgy but of profanation.

Indignant witnesses spoke of an "unbelievable, even apocalyptic scene," says Corrispondenza Romana. The church was immersed in a sea of lights that corresponded to a disco or a psychedelic spectacle. "What happened is suitable for a rock concert, but is not suitable for a holy place," said the news site. Choir, keyboard instruments and drums were positioned right next to Saint Paul's grave. The apse and the ciborium of Arnolfo di Cambio was completely hidden.

The columns, ceilings and walls of the basilica, which display magnificent works of art, mosaics, frescoes, stone carvings and woodwork, were dipped in neon-colored headlamps such as were used by the Psychedelic Trance Festival O.Z.O.R.A.. Large screens, stages and a multitude of loudspeakers were set up throughout the basilica, which were sounded at full volume.

In its origin, the basilica was built by Emperor Constantine the Great and consecrated in 324. Under Emperor Theodosius in 391 it was extended in its present dimensions. On July 31, 2018, it was transformed into a gigantic disco for the German ministrants.

The organizers stated that around 9,000 German ministrants were present at the spectacle. Had the majority of the ministrants from the German-speaking world spared the "event"? The ministries of each diocese come only on different days and at different times to St. Paul Outside the Gates.

Exclusive right of use "bought" with 18,000 euros?

Believers were also irritated that the organizers appointed by the diocese, including a German priest, with incredible vehemence denied all other, tourists, tour guides, ordinary believers, even the parishioners, access to the basilica. What did they have to hide? Should not their desecration of the venerable basilica be seen?

The vehemence was justified by the remark, that they had paid 18,000 euros for the use of the structure, which probably meant no rent for the church, but the cost of the stage, light and audio technology. Anyway, according to Corrispondenza Romana, "the cost of exclusive use of the basilica" was claimed.

The Catholic news service reported that Vatican security forces had to intervene to make it clear to the organizers that a "privatization" of the church was ruled out, no matter how much money was spent on the choreography.

The "show" was to be continued until Saturday. "Unless someone from a higher place intervenes," said Corrispondenza Romana. Believers complained that already last Sunday, they started with audio samples at the highest volume. These songs were played in the perfect rave party style.

Corrispondenza Romana commented on the incident by saying:

"It has long been known that Germans humble and humiliate the sacred liturgy by disfiguring its nature. That they now claim to do this in the house of others is really unacceptable. It is still to be revealed who has authorized such use of the basilica and under what conditions, and what action is now to be taken in the face of the grave, serious and shameful battlefield. "

The Freiburger

So who is responsible for the spectacle in the basilica?

Organizers of the Rome pilgrimage are the diocesan posts for youth ministry. Each diocese set up its own website for the ministranten pilgrimage. There you will find something.

According to this, the ministrants of the various diocese were brought to the Psychedelic Trance Festival on different days and at different times. The ministers of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, led by Cardinal Reinhard Marx, the President of the German Bishops' Conference, is still fronting the spectacle. For them St. Paul Before of the Walls was on Saturday, August 2 from  5 pm  on the program. The keyword is meaningfully "Animazione" including "Diocesan final service with Cardinal Reinhard Marx" from 6:30p.

On the morning of July 31, it was the turn of the ministers of the Archdiocese of Freiburg. You have, so the official website,

"With a joint service in the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, the Freiburg program of the International Ministrant Pilgrimage opened. The Freiburg Auxiliary Bishop Michael Gerber welcomed the boys and girls from 250 parish and pastoral units. The motto of the pilgrimage is "Seek the peace and hunt for it."

The faces and posture of many adolescents were embarrassed during the spectacle. They are not to be reproached. They were forced to participate. So much is certain: The show was not their invention. It was given to them from above, because the Church leaders and their full-time apparati are obviously convinced that they have to be "cool" for adolescents to bring them to church.

Noted on the Margins

In the Archdiocese of Freiburg, a logo was designed for the pilgrimage, in which two at least questionable or misleading symbols can be seen.

Ministrantenwallfahrt Rome 2018: Logo of the Archdiocese of Freiburg with death rune and SED handshake emblem.
This is the death rune used by the so-called "peace movement". It was already featured in antiquity as an upside-down cross, and therefore seen as an anti-Christian symbol. At that time it became known as Nero Cross. The Muslims who invaded Europe via Spain in 711 used it out of contempt for Christians. It was also used in the fight against the crusaders by the Muslims in the Middle East. In 1958, the Communist Bertrand Russel sought a symbol for the "peace march" initiated by left-wing groups against NATO. Russell, known for his radical rejection of Christianity, opted for the Death Rune or Nero Cross, though not without ulterior motive.

But why should Catholics need to have a reverse cross?

The second symbol is the handshake, also known as Fraternizing Hands, which has been a symbol of Freemasonry since the 18th century. Since 1848 it also belongs to the socialist symbol canon, first used in 1848 by the General German Workers' Brotherhood, which at that time worked closely with the Communist League. In 1946 it became the emblem of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). As late as 1998, the CDU placarded the SED handshake symbol in the Bundestag election campaign with the message "Watch Out Germany!"

Attention should also be paid to those responsible to the church, which through misunderstanding or even anti-Christian symbolism exposes them to young Catholics.

Weltbild Scandal -- The Bishops Respond

"Lawyer's Whore" For Sale at Weltbild
(Augsburg) The range of Weltbild Publishing Group Ltd., one of the largest book retailers in Germany is in stark contrast to what its owner, the Catholic bishops, should preach. Last year's culmination of decades of public criticism for selling pornographic and esoteric books, and the book trade magazine book report was addressed the hypocrisy recently. Criticism from Catholic media or anxious letter from Catholics regularly remained unanswered. Including our recent issues, that we document here.

Weltbild has an approximate income of 1.6 billion Euros and is not only the largest of booksellers, but as industry insiders report, also the largest of porn distributors. The German book trade will be practically ignored by the Federal Censor for Media Dangerous to Youth. Pornographic print works, even in the most degenerate variants, even so are put on the list as violent youth-endangering media. Therefore, it is possible for retailers like Weltbild to buy and sell fully pornographic material unimpeded.

Our questions have supplied each of the shareholders of the Weltbild: Archbishop Reinhard Marx Joachim (Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, 13.2%), Bishop Felix Genn (diocese of Muenster, 2%), Bishop Wilhelm Schraml (diocese of Passau, 5.7 %), diocesan administrator Provost Dr. William Gegenfurtner (Regensburg Diocese 5.7%), Bishop Stephan Ackermann (Diocese of Trier 4.3%), Bishop Dr. Friedhelm Hofmann (Diocese of Würzburg, 5.7%), Bishop Henry Mussinghoff (diocese of Augsburg 11.7%), Bishop Dr. Konrad Zdarsa (diocese of Augsburg 11.7%), Archbishop Ludwig Schick (Archdiocese of Bamberg 5.7%), Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke (diocese of Eichstätt, 3.4%), Archbishop Cardinal Dr. Robert Zollitsch (Archdiocese of Freiburg 2.7%), Bishop Heinz Josef Algermissen (Diocese of Fulda 6.8%), Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck (soldiers pastoral Berlin 4.3%) and as the largest shareholder of the Association of Dioceses Germany (VDD) with 24.2%, whose chairman is Archbishop Zollitsch.

Only from a single Diocese was there a minimalist response. An employee of an episcopal General Vicar announced: "I have forwarded your inquiry to the press office of the German Bishops' Conference." But by the Secretariat of the German Bishops' Conference was no answer. Secretary of the Bishops' Conference, Father Hans Langendörfer SJ. The Jesuit himself sits on the board of the publishing group of the Weltbild and is also an executive of the Association of German Dioceses (VDD), which holds 24.2 percent of the world's shares. Because of the problems associated with the publishing group in recent years some dioceses had transferred their shares to the VDD. In the hands of multi-functionary Father Langendörfer the threads come together from around the Weltbild group and make him a key figure. As the Weltbild-scandal a year ago, reached a peak,  Chairman Klaus Donaubauer was forced to resign. The Bishops' Conference said,  in a completely inappropriate overreaction to completely disconnect from the publishing group and gave it the impression that a Christian bookstore is no longer possible today. In fact, since then nothing has happened. A lack of action seems to be the responsibility of Father Langendörfer as the most influential of decision-makers. As the premier owner-representative on the board, it determines the orientation of the Welt group. As secretary of the German Bishops Conference, he impedes critical questions.

1) How important is the income of Welt for the German dioceses?

2) Nurses and teachers must be members of the Catholic faith and make her private life according to Catholic principles. Do these principles also apply to the management of the publishing group of Weltbild?

3) Are you aware that Weltbild is still actively selling pornographic and esoteric literature and advertisements? Are you aware of how high revenues and profits from sales of pornographic and esoteric titles are?

4) Customers who purchase over weltbild.de and the world eBook reader literature, leave stored data. Do you know whether these data are collected and used for marketing purposes? Customers will have acquired a pornographic or esoteric titles, are other titles suggested of the same genre suggested to them?

5) Are you familiar with the statement of Monsignor Michael Fuchs, deputy chairman of the Publishing Group GmbH Weltbild,  made to the "Daily Mail" (24 July 2012)? Was it discussed with you? If so,  should it be regarded as official approval for the resumption of the distribution of pornographic literature by the German bishops?

6) Will the world of German dioceses address data provided by Catholics?

Cardinal Schönborn Texts at Mass

Münchner Kardinal: „Keine SMS während der Messe verschicken“

Edit: Cardinal Reinhard Marx is really laying down the law in Germany.  "Do not send texts during Mass".

Reinhard Cardinal Marx warns against populism in the Church.  In the internet one might see how contentious things are -- even about Bishops and reforms.
Texting during Mass

(kreuz.net, München) "These are difficult times to be a Bishop."

This is the Old Liberal Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich and Freising speaking at the Munich press club as reported by "Münchner Merkur".

As far as the ecclesiastical handling of adulterers the Archbishop said:  "That is very depressing even to me."

He can offer those in mortal sin "no simple solution".

The courage of John the Baptist isn't needed to call these sinners to repentance.

Cardinal Marx reads too much 'kreuz.net'

Within the Church the Cardinal warns against "populism after the motto <>."

That is explicitly the case in Church circles.

Obviously, that is a tactic of the Old Liberals: to give complicated answers to simple questions.

As an example he described the Internet.  There you can see, "how much argument there is -- even about Bishops and reforms."

Never the less the dialog process between the Bishops and the "laity" -- in which it is meant media bosses -- must continue on.

Using cell phones in Church is unacceptable

In one of his numerous interviews with 'Bildzeitung' the Cardinal  criticized the use of cells during Mass:

"Whoever texts on his cell or simply stares at it during a conversation, shows to the other that he isn't important.  No one should dare do that to anyone, especially not to the dear God."

The most famous cell phone user during Mass is Cardinal Christoph von Schönborn.

In his youth Masses, the youth were encouraged to send texts, which were put on a projection screen during Mass.

Cardinal Schönborn was busted on his own cell phone texting at various youth Masses --  at disco Masses in October 2005 in Vienna or at a youth pilgrimage to Mariazell in August 2010.

At his youth pilgrimmage Auxiliary Bishop Franz Scharl of Vienna, Msgr Stephan Turnovsky of Vienna and
Msgr Franz Lackner of Graz, seated next to the Cardinal all had their cell phones.

This Alone Could have Cost the Munich Bishop the Cardinal's Hat

Editor: He was supposed to have gotten his hat, according to Vaticanist Paolo Rodari, but this story, persecuting Bishop Mixa and attacking the Prior and Abbot of Ettal (who were later exoherated) for alleged child abuse, probably explain why. Here's why he probably didn't, and might not get, the Cardinal's hat.

Church enemies organizsed in the name of the Archdiocese of Munich-Freising, for the promotion of more AIDS, more Mortal Sin, more Divorce and more Child abuse.

[kreuz.net, Mühldorf] In the coming Saturday, the alleged 'Catholic Jouth Center Mühldorf" have organized a workshop against the Sixth Commandment.

The horrible occasion was held under the title "For me or for you? Themes between Bed and Confessional".

Mühldorf am Inn is around 80km to the northeast of Munich.

The Catholic Youth Center in rural Mühldorf is an outpost of the 'Archdiocesan Youth Office of Munich and Freising'.

The promotional day with conference portrayed itself -- says the advertisement -- "in the background of life realities of the youth and Catholic sexual morality".

A particular focus of the promotional day was the theme sodomy, child sexual abuse and extra-marital sexual activity.

The participants in the discussion event in the afternoon, presented their position on the website of the 'Youth Center Mühldorf".

Much Sex, Little Love, No Marriage

One of the is Christian Agi (24). He is the President of the Diocesan Committee in the 'Organization of German Catholic Youth':

"Sex as the composed decision and interaction of two mature people can never injure human worth" -- he preached on a Jungle Moral learned in 'Bravo'.[1]

Agi speaks about an Ape Congress: "Sex is as natural as breathing or eating, nnd there is no difference between sex either before or after marriage."

The only thing immoral is only morality: "Sex is sex -- and the prohibition against pre-marital sex is much more a "heavy infringement against the worth of the person".

Julia Dotzauer (20) is a youth delegate of the 'Organization of German Catholic Youth' in the Archdiocese of Munich.

For her, "homosexuality is neither sinful nor a sickness!".

Then the impure girl became the schoolmarm and said: "Even the Catholic Church will see that gradually."

Priests speak with pubescents

The secular priest Fr. Martin Garmaier of Waldkraiburg stepped in for the non-pruductive marriage act:

"With their one sided statement of a general prohibition of artificial birth control makes the Catholic Church increasingly unbelievable, which incapacitates the associated responsibility of the parents." -- he stuttered.

Next to other functions of the decadent old Liberal establishment the occasion will permit members of the homosexual organization 'Lesbians and Gays in the SPD' slavering against the truth of Catholic teaching.

The Seed of John Paul II. Bears Fruit in Munich

Blasphemous Homosexual, divine services and inter-communion for dogs and cats: in the decadent former Archdiocese of the Pope, everything is possible.

By Christiane Strobl

[kreuz.net] Another Munich Parish has established that the dirty old liberalism of yesterday is more important than the living Catholic Faith, which men have believed for centuries.

It takes place at the Munich Parish of St. Paul. It occupies one of the most impressive churches in the city.

The Parish is located on the Ludwigvorstadt in the Teresienwiese - on the place where Oktoberfest happens every year.

The administrator of the Parish, secular priest Rainer Hepler, is also a collaborator of the "Art Ministry" of the Archdiocese of Munich. In his Church there are also sodomitical church services.

This was relocated from the suburbs to the city center first in the spring in 2010 by the order of the old liberal Archbishop Reinhard Marx of Munich and Freising.

The authorization for this pastoral appointment in the Archdiocese comes from Secular Priest Manfred Rutsche, who is officially responsible for this horror.

From the side of the Archbishop, he enjoys the fullest trust. It pleases him that there are always more priests participating in his Queer Liturgy. Recently, one can discover noteworthy things from the Pastoral Administrator, Fr. Rainer Hepler's signed Pastoral Letter.

"May protestants participate in Communion?" read the philosophical question.

The answer was practically Catholic: "According to other opinions of many, the Eucharistic celebration of the separated confessions isn't presently possible."

Actually, then John Paul II. (2005+) has come to the field with his encyclical 'Ecclesia de Eucharista' in paragraph 45.

According to that this qualification is not applied "to individual persons belonging to Churches or Ecclesial Communities not in full communion with the Catholic Church."

In this case it goes namely for this reason, that "the intention is to meet a grave spiritual need for the eternal salvation of an individual believer, not to bring about an inter-communion which remains impossible until the visible bonds of ecclesial communion are fully re-established"

This is how Fr. Hepler comes to the practical knowledge: "The answer reads therefore in legitimate individual cases: yes."

Celibacy is not the Ballast of History

Editor: Archbishop Marx got his head handed to him when he attempted to destroy the career and reputation of the Abbot of the Traditional Monastery of Ettal. Now the embattled Archbishop offers some hopeful words more in line with his the original assessment of the man as a conservative.

Germany. [kreuz.net] the first half year of this year was the worst time of his life. Archbishop Reinhard Marx of Munich confessed this during an interview with the regional newspaper 'Munnich Merkur'. The Archbishop had been advised like a forensic expert "in a bitter decision" during the abuse hysteria. [When he tried to railroad the Abbot and Prior of Ettal on charges of Sex Abuse] At the same time he held it absurd, that it's always promoted: "now the priesthood must introduce women and celibacy must be abolished." That is superficial and will go nowhere. Celibacy is no "superfluous ballast of history" and must be rediscovered like a priceless treasure.

Vatican Rebuke for Munich Archbishop Marx: Ettal Abbot and Prior Exonerated

The Vatican exonerated the earlier Abbot of Ettal and rebukes the Diocese of Munich: Abbot Barnabas has done everything, what was required by the situation. The naming of a successor is not to happen.

Berlin/Munich (kath.net/KNA) A Vatican Investigative Commission has, says the newspapers "Die Welt" and "Muenchner Merkur", (Friday)that the resigned management of the Benedictine Cloister Ettal has been exonerated of the abuse scandal. Both papers refer to a corresponding letter of the Roman Cardinal Prefect Franc Rode, who directs for the Monks the competent section in the Vatican. As the papers report, there had been an Apostolic visitation in the Cloister, that resigned order members had made no error in their handling of the Ettal sexual and physical abuse.

Neither Abbot Barnabas Bögle nor Prior Maurus Krass would have neglected a prescribed requirement to report. The Abbot did everything, "which was required by the situation". A renewed election of both ministers from their earlier offices is not required.

The Abbot and the Prior had been accused, that they had not reported to the competent Archdiocese of Muenchen-Freising in 2005 when they became aware of a new sexual abuse. According to the information the papers have the expert opinion of the Vatican is not associated with that of the view of the Archdiocese of Munich.

The letter from Rome had been delivered by Wednesday to the Cloister of Ettal, reported "Muenchner Merkur" further. Otherwise it would have been necessary to select a name Abbot by 31 July. The Monastic Congregation has appointed this directive. From the Cloister no one has wanted till now to discuss any of the new developments. There should be a press release on Friday.

The report brings a new rebuke for the ambitious Archbishop Marx at the same time in "Die Welt". There have been for a long while already critics of the administration of the Archiepiscopal Chair. So it was already made known in March, that the resignation of Barnabas and Maurus was to take place on the ground of a false accusation.
