Priest Goes to Get Gaymarried in Canaries — Bishop: “He hasn’t asked to leave the priesthood”

According to Matteo Matzuzzi, the Bishop of Verona, Giuseppe Zenti who was assigned in 2007, in Italy, has said the following about his priest who ran off to the Canaries to get sodomarried.  He writes,

Veronese priest goes to the Canaries and gets married with his friend. The bishop: "He is still a priest, he has not asked to leave the priesthood. One of my predecessors had prevented his ordination, but he went to be ordained in Rieti.”

And so, it begins. There will now be a tide and PF still says "who am I to judge".

Is marriage valid if not in catholic church by a catholic priest? This is such a joke on so many levels and yet so many self-labelled "faithful catholics" will stay members of this church and pay the hire of these perverts whom the self-labelled faithful insist are valid priests and minister valid sacraments that confer grace. This must have been what the pharisees were doing: upholding the corrupt Judaic priesthood w/their own hypocrisy.

Bet this is who ordained him in Rieti:

"What are the challenges to face today?
"The Church can truly be credible only if it knows how to be close to every man and woman who live, fight, and hope. Listening to discomforts, sharing daily life, sharing life with the poorest must be the style to which we tend. For the pastoral care of the neighborhood it is necessary to lose sight of the bell tower, leave their safety and get their hands dirty, even bringing hope out of the church. We start from the square, noting the various urgencies, we enter the Church for listening to the Word of God, for prayer, for ongoing formation with catechesis, of young people and adults through analysis and study, the enrichment of the competence to return to provoke the square with the added value of faith ». (the full interview is published on the site fanodiocesi.it)"

Not sure why Francis retired him unless it was this story: "Nun gives birth, names boy after Pope Francis...Local church leaders said the nun, whose name was not released, will have to leave her convent, the Daily Telegraph reported.

"It would be PREFERABLE that she now lead a secular life with her baby, away from religious institutions," said a spokesman for Delio Lucarelli, bishop of Rieti."

Sounds like in Italy (maybe around the world) the sexually perverse church hirelings can't be fired. What a web we weave when first we practice to deceive -- error has rights VC2 declared. Man's conscience is king--not Jesus Christ the VC2 bishops lie.

And they can't be trusted not to lie about anything:

Costalunga's attorney, Alex Dal Cero, then replied that" the election to join the marriage was received by Costalunga as a free citizen "and" only after having formally communicated the election of wanting to lose the state state ". According to his lawyer, the man has already moved to the state of residence. "It is important to emphasize, in fact," says Dal Cero – Costalunga with a registered letter of February 8, 2018 addressed to his Excellence Mons. Giuseppe Zenti has announced the decision to divest the presbyterian ministry. " For the lawyer Therefore, the statements that refer to His Excellence do not correspond to the truth, according to which Costalunga never asked for liberation from the service and therefore still a priest."

"Bishop: “He hasn’t asked to leave the priesthood”
===================================================
Sorry for rude language, but it's the only kind appropriate for this Bishop. What kind of an asshole is he to even make this comment? The "priest" should have been immediately laicized and excommunicated, therefore this question would never have been necessary. I can't believe this guy worrying about the pervert not asking to leave the priesthood. Excise him from the priesthood and the Church like you would throw out garbage.
Sorry, but this is beyond charitable for the Bishop to ask. Before Vatican II there would be no wimpy agonizing. The guy would be out...period.

This is not even an attempted marriage. It's sodomy. The issue of validity is a billion miles from this whole matter.

The bishop is strictly obliged to laicize this priest.

There was plenty of wimpiness and corruption before 1962!

If you are saying he's not a priest because he is a sinner, you have fallen into the heresy of Donatism. Donatism is most seductive when the clergy are most corrupt.

Karl Rahner edited the 31st edition of the Symbolorum Enchiridion in 1960. That was pretty fey also.

Yes I've had this stupid Donatism label used on me because I refuse to attend a mass said by someone who is a public sinner and apostate. That is not the same thing as a priest having private sins. Tell you what--I will take the label rather than risk my soul accepting scandal by complicity with the public offense. I can go to another mass.

Anonymous, if you reject the 'Donatist' tag, what about 'Novationist' or 'Meletian' or just plain 'Drop Kick?'

Fr. VF said...

I never said it was wrong to avoid a sinful priest, or to avoid his Masses. I warned against Donatism.

You are a very careless reader.

Yes, Faddah, he's definitely in the high management category.

Donatism is a heresy that questioned the sanctity of a priest the confect a Sacrament. The REAL question is .Are they valid priests? A sodomite cannot have Proper Intention for the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Catholicism hands out Annulments for the Sacrament of Matrimony based on lack of Proper Intention.
