Pope Francis: "I Started the Fire, I Will Put it Out Again"?

(Rome) "I started the fire, I will put  it out again." These were the words on the news page Secretum meum mihi (SMM) which they put in the mouth of Pope Francis for the photo and provides a context of the recent Apostolic Letter Amoris Laetitia  that has recently made visible the deep division and disunity in the Catholic Church.

"That should at least be what should happen in our opinion, but it is not yet done. That is the thought which has come to us at the sight of the above photo disseminated by Vatican," says SMM.
At the end of yesterday, the Wednesday audience, Pope Francis addressed firefighters. The group of a fire brigade came from  Fort de Demont in France and participated in the general audience in St. Peter's Square.

Francis with French firefighters

The photographer of the Vatican Press Office, who accompanied the Pope on his tour could caught for a few moments in which Pope Francis donned a fireman's helmet, wearing it as firefighters do on duty.  The French Firefighters made the Pope  a gift of it. The special feature: The helmet is decorated in the colors of the Papal States, Yellow and white.
At the same time, the firefighters presented the pope a pope mascot.

What a terrible pope.

He's a clown, looking for attention and savoring his moment in the spotlight. But before too long, he'll be gone. His supporters will be crying and moaning....but we will have a Pope again!

I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled?

"But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more. I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled? Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law."

The wicked have told me fables, but not as Thy law; but I have spoke of Thy testimonies before kings and I was not ashamed. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost--as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen (Introit St Justin, martyr)

You speak truly--would he don a crown of thorns if it was handed to him? These men are all bent on making a mockery of Jesus Christ--not serving him. He truly is fighting the fire that Jesus Christ came to enkindle on earth. As the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (eliminated from the N.O.) prays: "May the Lord enkindle within us the fire of His love and the flame of everlasting charity. Amen"

Always the narcissist buffoon, this Francis. It seems to be a common strain among Argentinians, at least the ones I have known (and there have been quite a few in the 8 times I have visited that beautiful but superficial country). Edward

My uncle (retired), worked in the USA foreign service for 44 years, serving first in the office of the USA embassy in Greece, then Japan, then Brazil...and finally the last 12 years on the staff in the Embassy in Rome.
In Brazil, he got to meet the members of the former royal (or imperial) family of Brazil. So sad their monarchy was overthrown 120+ years ago. Great history.
He visits Italy, and Brazil(his 2 favorite postings) every two-three years, even though he is now 77 and plane travel is rough on the elderly. In his last visit to Brazil, last Summer, he met with members of the royal family, who informed him that very, very many traditional minded Catholics think that Pope Francis is not only an actor, or a buffoon, or a clown, or a narcissist looking for attention, but a genuinely evil man whom some are even afraid of. They consider him and his agenda and his associates so unlike other Popes, or even priests....that they shun Francis and his people and agenda as if they were actually inspired by the forces of Hell.
Although these are mostly well educated, wealthy traditional Catholics (the kind of people Francis et al hate), they are not old. My uncle said none of them were past 40...and they all (almost a dozen members of the royal family and other associated nobility of Brazil), can't stand Francis.
So it's world-wide this dislike for him....not isolated. I think his latest Letter has made it much worse!

Next on this destroyer's agenda: a white-wash of gay unions (if not exactly marriage), abolition of mandatory celibacy for the Latin Church clergy, and female deacons. Wait and see---unless the good Lord has a different plan and judges His Church has suffered enough for its many infidelities. RC

At nearly 80, I don't think Francis has the time for that sick agenda. Not to wish bad on him of course, but if he suddenly started to fail in health rather rapidly, and either resign or whatever....I think most in the Vatican and tens of millions of faithful Catholics ould kneel in thanksgiving to God that they were spared a longer period of Francis and his sick, radical agenda and his associates.
Once Francis is gone....so will be his advisors and associates. Back into the shadows from which they came.

All this talk of Francis yet not once do you consider the men who elected him or the men who by silence every Sunday are complicit in his deeds and words.

They are worse than Francis because they either elected him, or are too cowardly to speak up against him....and considering his weak reaction to this Pope's recent Apostolic Exortation as a response to the Fall Synod....this includes Burke.

OK with that established (I agree with you) why all this talk of 'save us from Francis' or 'I can't wait to Francis leaves'?
The organization from the top down is rotting and has been from sometime.
Would you agree or disagree?
