Cardinal Sepe: Whoever Wastes Food, May Not Go to Communion

Neapolitan archbishop: "God as the giver of life is offended"

Rome (kath.net/KAP) Catholics who throw away food, must not receive Communion according to Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe (photo). Whoever wastes food in the face of millions of hungry people, puts themselves outside of the human family, said the Archbishop of Naples in the context of an environmental conference, according to the Italian Catholic news agency SIR (Friday). This type of waste is insulting to the needy and to "God as the giver of life".

Furthermore Sepe refused Mafiosi and the operators of illegal dumps a right to communion. Whoever disposes of toxic waste in drinking water areas, commits "terrorist attacks against life," he said, If the person concerned shows no sign of remorse, "there is for them no sacraments in the Church." Sepe referred to his statement at the Camorra, who are engaged in large scale illegal waste burning between Naples and Caserta. "If I were building my life on the death of others as those who produce toxic waste, how could I dare then to go into a church and celebrate religious services?" raged the cardinal.

The region called the "Terra dei fuochi" ("Land the fire ") near Caserta received international attention mainly due to the best-selling author Roberto Saviano who wrote the book "Gomorrah" about the activities of the Camorra, the Neapolitan Mafia. In July, Pope Francis visited Caserta and condemned this crime and corruption. At his request, he said a Mass where the parents whose children had died of tumor diseases due to environmental pollution were invited. The service took place under special precautions.

By this rational flatulance, because it releases harmful green house gases, separates one from the human family. And if I pick my nose and eat it, I am more so a member of that human family because I am recycling and preserving the earth's precious resources. But what am I if picking my nose and eating it introduces toxic pathogens into my system, makes me ill and produces fever and causes more breathing(more green house gasses) and flatulence? Does this mean Limbo really exists.....again?

These people should be institutionalized not merely expeled from the Church.

This irrationality is utter madness. This is not religion, this is psychotic.

That Francis is encouraging such rhetoric is undeyable evidence of his own insanity, Francis is an irresponsible, raving, lunatic

I now have the feeling that was common around the end of Paul VI- beginning of John Paul II- Jimmy Carter reigns. Every crackpot in the religious, political, and cultural worlds was loose. Communism was probably at its strongest. At least JP II and Cdl Ratzinger, of pre Vatican II formation came forward to defend the Church, and even then, the European and North American and South American clerisy ratcheted leftward a few clicks. They forgot no Marxist goal.

Who will be the Church's next champion? It seems like Francis encourages the crackpots, and is not equal to the Mohammedan challenge because he does not understand Mohammedanism, ideologically blinded as he is.

Now I've heard everything HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
What a sick church the Vatican II church of worthless Pope Francis is.

By the way, in case no one knows...I just read at another site the glowing and extremely accepting and positive report the Synod just released on the subject of Homsexuality, and also gay "unions"

Is it possible to start a huge groundswell movemen in the Catholic Church t to overthrow this guy Francis and all his associates and force them all out? They did it to Louis XVI in the French Revolution, and to other monarchs who were corrupt or incompetent., or evil.
It was a liberal coup that brought in Francis. Could there be instigated another coup to drive him out ??
Read the translation of today's Synod release (complied by Cardinal Erdo) if you don't believe me. It'll make you think that our Catholic Church no longer exists.

So we can't go to Communion if we "waste food", but if we shack up with our significant others - maybe we can! Splendid logic from the faux-magisterium!

Actually, in a part I love that "logic". Think: a contracepting (taking a pill) woman. According to the wise words, she is releasing the toxins into the water. She and the man who semi-participate in the poisoning waters with estrogen, shouldn't receive Holy Communion.

Are you sure this report wasn't taken from The Onion or Eye of the Tiber?

I wonder if the good cardinal flushes his toilet.

The conciliar church has secularized herself to a banal NGO. She is not the guardian of the truth but Agitprop of liberal-socialist Mainstream: Gay-rights, "Ecology", anti"Mafia", "social justice". She has dethroned Christ and made him to proto-communist "brother Jesus".

What about saving souls! Yet this Cardinal will give Holy Communion to pro gay marriage and pro abortion Catholics because it's just a culture war and according to the Vatican those culture wars are over. Never mind the sacralidge against Jesus Christ. Maybe some of these Cardinals chose the wrong vocation. Perhaps they were meant to be in the Green Party or LGBT activists.

The New-Age Catholic Church are losing donations from the faithful because they are leaving the Church. Now the Vatican has to rely on monies given by respective governments as NGO's. The Vatican does not want to bite the secular hand that feeds them.

as a brazilian I can only confirm this.

The Congregation of Bishops from Poland condemned that report today and literally called it Apastacy.

Francis did not want to be Pope. He accepted the Papacy reluctantly. He refused the red cape saying the Carnival is over. He refused to sit in the Chair of Peter instead sat in another chair. Refused to live in the Papal Apartments. Refused the Vatican Passport instead opted for the Argentine Passport. Francis married couples living in cohabitation and Francis told a woman on a phone call who was divorced and remarried who had been refused Holy Communion from the priest of her parish. Francis told her to go to another parish who will give her Holy Communion. How long can this go on and how much more can the Holy Church take of this Carnival of Francis' Three Ring Circus.

Didn't Francis say in a homily back in May of this year about Baptizing Martians. That we are to forget dogmas because the Holy Spirit is the engine of the Church that keeps the Church moving forward in these modern times and that dogmas keeps the Church back and becomes lethargic and stale. In essence Francis declared the past Popes of all the Holy Catholic Church fallible and in error.

Whoever abandons their primary role to save souls may go to HELL.

You can sodomise, divorce, remarry, abuse children, implement genocide and persecute traditionalists but if you leave food on the side of your plate then you are a friend of Satan and an enemy of Almighty God.
Indeed, this is the mentality of the liberal modernist and the zenith of it lies in this absolutely heretical and de facto schismatic papacy. This is not the Roman Catholic Church but an extremely impoverished protestant simulation.

I can ONLY think that
Solange Hertz was correct in her research on the letters of Melanie Calvat which confirmed that Melanie was informing both clergy and friends ,long before the published Secret Impramatured by the Bishop of Lecce,
that ,"Rome will become the Seat of the AntiChrist."

Notice how he said that they are put outside the "human family" and not "outside the Church". This sounds like he's implying that the Church is the universal brotherhood of man (see Vatican II, Paul VI) and not the supernatural Body of Christ.

The only time wasting food is mortally sinful is if you're committing a genocide like Holodomor. I don't like seeing people throwing away edible/salvageable food as much as the next guy, but mortal sin that makes you a schismatic? Is this guy smoking hash?

It is actually quite scary.

The anti Christ is human pride ,love of neighbor before love of God ,who 's laws are expected to take second place to man's needs and desire ,wrapped up as false charity ,the abomination is already in the Holy Place ,entertainment for the laity at Mass ,instead of worship of God ,the Blessed Sacrament removed from the main Altar ,to make way for dancers, jugglers, clowns and tango dancers.

I'd like to give him a knuckle sandwich.

and I'd stand and applaud if you did. And Pope Francis deserves more that that!!
I think if a few dozen, or even a few hundred faithful Catholics disrupted one of Pope Francis' Masses in St. Peters with cat-calls, protest signs etc. and loud boos for him in light of this Synod....he'd get the message. Either change his ways and his message...or leave.

Would Cardinal Sepe's prohibition also include those churchmen who forgo the Friday fast and over indulge? Is not eating too much, also, wasting food? The church of nice has now become the church of inanity.

PLEASE GOD..... Save us from Pope Francis!

Some of these Cardinals are agents of the secular state imposing legalization of Homosexuals and crossgenders and the rest in the Church! Shame on those traders of Jesus Christ.

J.G. Ratkaj said...

and the remaining faithful cardinals should tear their purple garb and throw the shreds before Bergoglio's chair.

john said...

They half heartedly defended the Church. The confusion they caused with those heinous ecumenical prayer meetings caused way more damage to the Church than most of what they did to help it.

Had this prohibition come at the end of a long sermon on the sin of gluttony, it would have been well made.

But in the terms that it has been offered, and in the context of the news on the Synod, this just seems ridiculous.
